LISA: THE MOURNFUL

Because I’ve only said it offhandedly or off this blog prior to now and I don’t want any more confusion:

LISA: THE MOURNFUL is over.

I should’ve ended it before the timeskip.  I just had too much planned for it that I couldn’t live up to on my own.  On top of that, I’ve progressed as a creator to the point that I can’t put out anything I’m proud of anymore.  Whatever I’d put out for Mournful, I’d look at, and say “I can be better than this”.

This resulted in kind of a vicious cycle of me being disappointed in myself for not making Mournful, trying to, then being disappointed in what I made.

My departure from the LISA fandom was the final nail in the coffin for Mournful.  I am no longer working on Rueful, AskOlathe, Mournful, or any other projects I’ve been affiliated with, whether my involvement was publicly known or not.

I’m still going to play the fangames.  But this is the official end of my community presence, as far as I can foresee.

I lost the drive to continue Mournful or participate in the LISA fandom at all.

I already did in my stream where Dot and I read Mournful together.

Marcel is the son of the Furniture Pervert and the final battle of Mournful is just a Stand Battle between Marcel’s 「Soft Skin」and Buddy’s  「Sireen’s Call」.  It’s revealed in a battle with Sindy Gallows’ archers that Buddy was struck by a Stand Arrow and developed a stand that looks identical to Lisa to give her advice.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

It’s with this bonus that I’d like to declare Mournful at around its halfway point!  With the current plot arc brought to a neat and tidy end, I am putting Mournful on pause.

I have a few other projects in the works that I’d prefer to devote my time to.  It’s difficult to juggle Mournful’s schedule with working on those.  I’d like to switch gears and go full steam ahead on the other projects.

Mournful is not over, but this is a good place to stop it for now.  I’ve got tons of great stuff coming down the pipeline that I’ll be teasing either on my main blog, or on AskOlathe as soon as I have stuff worth showing!  I may also work on the occasional bonus to keep you guys entertained until I pick the plot back up.
