Harvard students studying music, divinity, psychology, neuroscience, and poetry come together to form a unique ensemble under the direction of Music Department visiting faculty Lisa E. Harris. The performance “Recasting the American Dream” features solo and ensemble arrangements and compositions inspired by the students research on bells, dreams, and devotion. Today I start my new position as Visiting Lecturer at Harvard University! I am honored to join such an esteemed team of musicians, artists and administrators in the Music Department, and equally excited to share quality time with friends on campus and in Cambridge. In my class, Sound Mind and Body: Achieving Spiritual Harmony in an Out of Tune World, students across disciplines(music, neuroscience, poetry, and divinity) are invited to join me in exploring devotion, vibrational frequencies, improvisation, collaboration, composition, movement and optimism through the lense of my healing arts practice. I was privileged to design my own class and I have been dreaming about bringing this class into the world.
