As soon as Oliver leaves, Cecilia is grabbed roughly from behind, and spun around. She looks into the face of a girl with a look on her face like she's smelled something revolting.

"Where do you think _you're_ going?"

"Hey, get your hands off of me, Annette! I've got to get to class!"

"Who was that you were talking to just now? Was it Oliver?"

"Why do you even care?"

"Because Oliver is my boyfriend. I mean, he doesn't know it yet, but he will be. Soon. And I can't have you in the way."

"Look, I'm not in the mood for this right now. Chill out."

"I'm only going to say this once: Stay away from him. If I catch you around him one more time--"

The tardy bell rings. Cecilia sighs, and rolls her eyes.

"Just get out of my face, Annette. You made me late for class."

Cecilia is en-route to her next class, when she hears someone calling her.

"Cecilia! Wait!"

She turns around to see Oliver waving her down, grinning from ear to ear.

"Phew. I thought I was going to have to chase you down."

"Oh, hey. What's up?"

Oliver runs his fingers through his hair, a bit nervously.

"Well... there's this party, tonight. You know the old abandoned barn, down on Mill Street?"

"I've heard of it."

"Oh, good. Will you...will you come with me?"

"With you where?"

"To the party. At the barn. On Mill Street. Were you listening...?"

"Oh. Are you asking me out on a date?"

"No! Well...yes. Maybe? Only if you want it to be a date, I mean."

"I would love to go with you, Oliver. I'll see you around?"

By the time Cecilia arrives to school, it's already the beginning of second period.

"Next time, make it in before the bell, Miss Park."

  She nods to the teacher, then walks down the rows of desks to find an empty seat.

She sits down next to a blonde-haired boy named Oliver.

She doesn't say anything in greeting, but he looks up at her and smiles.

"Hey. Missed you in homeroom today."

"Yeah? I overslept, sorry about that."

"No worries."

Cecilia's more than a little flattered at the thought of Oliver missing her for any amount of time.

"Hey... have a good day, alright?"

"Yeah. See ya, Uncle Danny."
