November 13th, 2004

we had just arrived in Paris for a family trip for my mum’s birthday, Paris is her favorite place in the world. Paris is our home, We were the first generation to live in America. I will never forget Nov 13th I remember getting off the plane excited to show my cousins the new Bratz my mother had bought me. November 13th i will never forget the smile on my mothers face as she held on to her brother. November 13th was the first time i got to go to Disney Paris. I was so excited to see experience Disney especially in a different country than my own,but i’ve always thought of France as my home away from home. Nov 13th i was so excited to go explore, I remember bugging my dad to hurry up in the bathroom so we could start the magic. 

“wait a bit.” my dad said.

November 13th has always be a magically day.....

November 13th, 2015

but the magic is now gone.

I have awoken from my dream, from the innocent that my father tried so hard to protect. Nov 13th, i have never been so scared. I have never felt as much pain in my heart as i did in the moment i heard, I saw, the screams, the blood.

November 16th

I’m being haunted, i’m i next. i turn my head and i don’t feel safe. I’m afraid to go out. The world scares me. I don’t want war. Everyone around me screams that its Islams fault but i know it isn’t. My Muslim brother and sisters have don’t nothing to any of the people. How can the actions of random individuals define my friends. I’m scared but what will hate do. Why can’t i use love to over come the fear.

I close my eyes and see the panic in my mothers face as she calls to find out if our family is okay, i see the tears run down my 90 year old grandmother face.I’m scared about the world i’m living in. I want peace but what can i do to bring it. 

i just want the magic back
