“how about we have kids when we’re forty. sound alright?” he joked lightly as he tried to find the best way to explain the deferral situation. how was espen to tell her that it hadn’t been accepted nor denied? he was scared that it would be denied due to the length of time they had had it. “i sent it in a time ago, but i haven’t heard back.” he pursed his lips as he rest his head against her and accepted her arms around him. “i’m scared that since it’s taking quite some time that i will be denied, but i don’t know, honestly.” 

“I don’t think everyone has to know everything. If it’s not necessary to know, why should they know hurtful things? Why can’t ignorance be bliss?”

“I think we’ve just always been in love and haven’t always known what it was, or what it meant. How else would I have put up with you all these years?”

Linnea: Then it's only fair that you get to ask me anything as well.

At the sight of her future sister in laws, she raised her head a bit. It was the first time she’d been with her face to face, although she hoped it would be a bit more formal. It’s easier to tell what kind of mask a person wears that way. The question didn’t really surprise her though, Vivienne was sure she’d ask the same for whoever would take the place beside her brother.  Locking the window she sat up straighter, looking over at her. “Mon Dieu, What did you think I was going to do, flash the crowds?” She teased, a smirk crossed her lips before shaking her head with a laugh. “Please, maybe give a wave, throw some flower petals out, but I’m not stupid. Why would I do something that could be so easily captured and sent straight to the internet? I have an image not to mention two countries now, that judge my every move. A girl has to use her brains sometime.”

“That would have at least been interesting.” Linnea was aware she was joking. However, she couldn’t say similar thoughts had never crossed her mind. It was exhausting sometimes to keep up her image. She wanted to speak her mind more and be less prim and proper. That wasn’t a luxury she could afford. Her image was important. She appreciated that Vivienne understand that importance even if she wouldn’t have faulted her for not caring to keep a public image. She’d always wanted an older sister. She had an older brother. Well, she had a couple older brothers in both her biological brother, Oscar, and her brother by choice, Korey. They were everything to her, but it wasn’t that same as an older sister. She hoped she could have that with Vivienne even if they were to live in different countries after the summit. “I’d take a good old fashioned fun scandal over the gossip blog updates any day. Well, as long as it doesn’t involve me.”

“honestly, tons of parents.” he shrugged. espen moved his eyes over to stick a glare to the television as he watched the sharks swim on the screen. a hand of his leaned over to rest on her thigh. “okay, maybe i’d spoil them a little.” he shook his head with a laugh. espen looked over at the girl and placed a kiss on her cheek. “i know, i wouldn’t put you through that, baby.” the blond prince smiled as he returned to his previous position. he couldn’t help but smile. this was all that younger him wanted in life —- but then it seemed like a lost dream. a dream that wasn’t even real. now, here he was, sitting with linnea with rings on their hands. “but surely, kids will not be in the question for some time.”

Oscar started his day with the newspapers ( a habit he’d learned from their father ) which were still decorated with the joyous news of his younger sister’s union. The Swedish media often liked to drag out any events that surrounded the siblings, and overwhelmingly so when it came to matters of the summit. “Did you know, according to inside sources, I am not keen on the idea of marriage?” He almost chuckled, glancing to his sister across the breakfast table. Whilst not everything was inaccurate, he couldn’t help but laugh at the speculation of others. “Apparently I’m delaying the entire thing for as long as possible.” This time managing a laugh upon quoting the text. // @linneanilsson

Linnea was picking at her fruit salad, pulling out the berries to eat first. Eyes slowly drifted to catch sight of the newspaper. It was one from home with a flattering story on her own wedding. A faint smile turned up the corners of her lips. She could always count on Sweden to cover her in a positive light. Gaze continued to move up to finally settle on the familiar features of her elder brother. His face served to permanently set the smile on her face. “Is that so? I can’t believe you leaked information to the press before me again,” she teased, knowing full well she would be the first to know if there was an ounce of truth to the rumors. Despite their age difference, Linnea considered her brother to be one of her best friends. There was nothing they didn’t share with one another.

“Don’t you think they get bored?” Vivienne spoke aloud, from where she sat on the window seat looking out onto the crowds of people in the mall. Not bothering to turn to see who was behind her yet, she hummed messing with the lock of the window over and over again. “I mean it’s just looking at a palace and certainly not even the prettiest of palaces. It’s just taking a picture of a big building, seems like it’s a waste of time, most definitely boring, but I’ve watched and there are families and tour groups who have been outside for at least an hour just looking at it. I’d lose my mind.” Smirking a bit she let the window creak open not even a centimeter, finally looking back at the person she’d been speaking to. “Should I give them a show?” 

Linnea knew she would have to meet Vivienne eventually. She was about to introduce herself when the other spoke. She listened to her silently before finally speaking up herself. “You’re marrying into a family that has an excellent reputation with the public and the press. Do you really want to do something to jeopardize that?” Honestly, Linnea didn’t care one way, or the other. It should be clear from her own marriage to Espen who had a less than stellar reputation. Her curiosity was in Vivienne’s answer. She wanted to get to know her better. She always found mild confrontation to be a great way to asses someone’s nature.

Korey: I don't trust this palace, the walls have eyes.

Korey: Or at least some form of CCTV system.

espen shook his head. “no —- the pig. wilmer?? you know, her dad was going to kill him and didn’t give any fucks that his daughter was emotionally attached to him. i’m saying that letting children name the reindeer wouldn’t necessarily stop their parents from killing them.” he laughed, sitting up to get a better look at the tv, but still leaning against the girl. at the mention of children, he shook his head. it was still an odd thought —- that they were married. they were both so young and it wasn’t normal for kids their age to be married and already talking about kids. sure, now that they were married, he was more than happy to have kids. it was just different from a typical situation. “spoiled? my children? never.” he laughed in a joking manner. “being spoiled doesn’t work with athletes. our football team can’t be spoiled or they’ll think that whenever something doesn’t go their way, they can run to mor and fix it.” he continued to joke.
