All Iām saying is Iāve had two suspicious situations recently and if YouTube starts forcing me on my fucking iPad Pro M4 to use only the mobile sites and ignore all my desktop requests, I am going to start screaming. It will be a cold day in Hell before I download the YouTube app. I do not fucking use apps on my device that can perfectly run all desktop sites without issue unless I really really really like the UI of the app or find the desktop app incredibly tedious in some way, and neither is true of YouTube.

This is completly false. Rabbit shut down because they had no business model, were making no money whatsoever, and went bankrupt. What Rabbit did (host and stream remote-control virtual machines) is not inherently illegal by any means.
Hyperbeam is the exact same thing and I've been using it for years for perfectly legal activities -- you can display maps for d&d games, have youtube watch parties, play tag-team neopets, whatever you like. It has full access to the internet, so could someone do illegal things? Probably. But you could also do illegal things with your normal web browser. Not my problem.
Unlike Rabbit, Hyperbeam has a side-hustle (main-hustle?) offering more advanced virtual machines to businesses and schools, so they do actually make money and should stick around longer.

Anyway, I donāt know what possessed me to watch Harper try to fly himself into exploding Earth and thinkā¦what if I drew said Earth as a big, fluffy bunnyā¦knowing there is absolutely nothing left on it and all he wants to do is die there, what if the very last thing in his life was just a big hug from a big, adorable bunnyā¦
Either way, I have cried over this. Multiple times, even. This thought has stabbed me through my heart repeatedly and now I must share it with whoever remains in this fandom. I donāt feel like rambling much on this note right now, but I will say, I really hate that this show basically ruined every possible extremely emotional moment that never got to happen despite being set up for five seasons straight, so I have to make up for it and spear everyone straight through the soul. A certain someoneās writing sucks shit and ass and I hereby declare that in some universe, Harper did indeed die on Earth there and then, just as he wanted to, and surely, he is now at peace with everyone he lost, alongside so many space bunnies.

Iāve already said much of what Iād normally have to add here in DMs, so I wonāt go on terribly long about it, but please know that this idea is still such a beautifully tragic thing to me and so fitting for Harper and his ordeals and personality. Truly, certain individuals should have let you into the writerās room and I too am forever lamenting what one man in particular did, especially to the finale and the way that was handled. lmfao

Okay but seriously, not to vague post but like, I am becoming very uncomfortable with how comfortable a vast number of people on this site and elsewhere both mostly in and almost somewhat out of the queer community are becoming with re-packaging a handful of very particular phrases, arguments, and attitudes that were inherently homophobic and also just generally anti-queer in nature as a way of (imo misplacedly) venting their frustrations with the bigotry they as a particular subset of the community face, even if it completely alienates, demonizes, devalues, and dismisses nearly every other part of the community in the process.
I am not going to state which specific phrases and arguments because I donāt feel like starting and fighting in World War Tumblr right now, but like, I will just say, if your concept of fighting against the rigidness of society involves taking shots at other marginalized and/or queer communities who are also crushed by that same society, youāre not doing this right.
btw just to be clear, you marketing old, inherently anti-queer propaganda and talking points as now suddenly woke and queer just because you slapped a certain label on top of them doesnāt make them any less what they originally were

I donāt know if Iām correct on this or not, but it seems to me that vindiesel-12 is an account which has been blazing itself impersonating Vin Deisel ā perhaps with the intent of getting people to fall for some kind of celebrity catfishing, phishing, or sockpuppet scam.
I canāt find anything on the blog to suggest that itās just an RP account at present, so please beware of this and other Vin Diesel or otherwise suspicious unannounced official ācelebrityā accounts popping up on this site. Quite possibly the best singular movie I have seen in my life, and I have seen some absolute bangers (imo). If you have Prime, go forth, immediately watch it. Hell, even if you donāt itās worth the buy. 10,000% can recommend.
See, hereās the thing I think a lot of people could stand to learn on this site (and also many others, letās be real): You could make the absolute best, most meaningful, most intelligent, most well-written and researched and most important, pressing post in the world, and you would still not be able to get me to touch it with a ten foot pole if at any point you even remotely insinuate Iām a bad person if I donāt interact with it. See the thing about the whole Claude AI exposing document thing is that as great as it sounds in theory, I can see how this leads to even more harassment and witch hunts in practice.
People have said the tag is unique to Claude only and therefore thereās no way a human-made fic could have gotten wrongly flagged as AI. But how accurate and trustworthy worthy this is, really? Even IF, hypothetically, this method is proved correct 99 times out of 100, that still means āthere is 1 time out of 100 times where a human-made fic is wrongly flagged as AI due to an errorā. And that to me nullified the credibility of the whole doc. Like, sorry for not trusting another newly-introduced machine and for being skeptical about it.
āBut how could the tag get there if the author didnāt use AI?ā Besides the possibility of an error, I can already see people weaponize this method by faking screenshots of fics that are about the ships or topics that they hate to make it look like these fics have Claude tag in them, and then spreading those fake screenshots around. And the worst part is that authors cannot prove their innocence because people would just say āthey got caught so now they removed the Claude tag from their ficsā.
Like. I hate AI, but I hate witch hunts, accusations and harassments more.
While I 100% agree with this post and there may unfortunately not be a way to stop this bullshittery from happening now that the proverbial cat is out of the bag and this exists, I do have a proposal for all fic writers from now on: backup your fics on the Web Archive (make sure to use the āentire workā button if your fic has multiple chapters in it currently, and back up every new additional chapter you add later too) ā preferably as soon as you upload them publicly or upload a new chapter, but if not then just as soon as you can.
That way, if accusations come your way, you can easily just provide a web archive link to prove the version before the accusation did not have such a thing, either.

FUCK, I though it was just another lucky meme but LISTEN. Since a week ago I was waiting a phone call to confirm me if I got a job or not in my university. I reblogged this yesterdayās night ājust for fun and because I donāt want any bagel to be mad with meā, and todayās afternoon, while I was losing my time as always, the professor I was supposed to work with called me and asked me for my personal information to start working with her.
Oh God I hope this is not a hoax. EDIT: Fucking weird!! An hour after I did this I got a response back on some work Iād quoted on but never thought would happen. And the guy apologised for not replying sooner!! Fuck the bagel worked :-)
