i bought some totoro cream puffs from shirohige’s for a friend who is moving today, they are delightful in every imaginable way

a recent trip to nara: lanterns, my beautiful mother, deer fortunes, kissing deer, the great buddha, our delicious lunch, a baby in the park.

i've been sadly neglecting my travel blog so here, have some fun pics from my recent trip to disney sea :)

Exploring my new city: Kawagoe's famous Toki no Kane (an old bell tower), the river, Renkei-ji Temple, a starving Buddha, and me with Tokimo, the town mascot, a sweet potato with a bell tower on its head (naturally).

well, i'm in japan! let's start this blog off right with a photo of the shopping street in kawagoe and a bowl of sweet potato ramen! sweet potatoes are a kawagoe specialty, so sweet potato stuff is pretty much everywhere here. :)
