Venice 2025

Barcelona 2018, reworked

The architecture of Antoni Gaudí at Park Güell.

The undulating roof is covered in Gaudí’s signature trencadís mosaic technique. Shimmering white broken ceramic tiles cover the main curves, accented with diamond patterns of vibrant blue tiles. Small spikes line the crests of the roof structure.

Rising from the roofline are two distinctive structures: a multi-colored cupola/chimney in the center and a short tower on the right topped by Gaudí's characteristic four-armed cross.

Venice 2025

Prominently featured on the left is the  Palazzo i-Franchetti, recognizable by its ornate, 15th-century Venetian Gothic facade, warm orange-peach walls, and intricate tracery windows. Large banners for an exhibition hang vertically from its exterior.

The Grand Canal runs down the middle.

Standing prominently in the distance where the canal curves is the magnificent dome of the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute.

The right bank features a row of elegant, sunlit Venetian buildings in softer shades of white, cream, and muted terracotta, with a few small watercraft moored along the edge.

Barcelona 2018, reworked

Italian Majolica (tin-glazed earthenware), almost certainly handcrafted in the historic pottery town of Deruta (located in the Umbria region) or the surrounding Tuscan/Umbrian areas.

Taiwan 1978; modified 2026

The detailed roofline of a traditional Taiwanese temple.

The Dragon and the Pearl: On the right, a fierce green dragon arches over the roof. On the left, a flaming red pearl (or crystal ball) is nestled in the curves. This depicts the classic mythological motif of "Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl"(or a single dragon chasing it), which symbolizes prosperity, good fortune, and cosmic harmony.

Intricate Figurines: Below the central structure, you can see tiny, detailed human figurines depicting deities, historical heroes, or characters from traditional folk legends.

The Centerpiece: A grand, vase-like floral basket structure sits in the middle, heavily adorned with flowers, auspicious symbols, and protective talismans.

The technique used to create the structure, known as Jiannian (literally translated as "Cut and Paste").
