Hey I read your post about mental illness. I'm in your shoes now it's been so hard from past 3 years and it rarely gets better. Unfortunately I cant talk to my parents. We didn't grew up talking about emotional stuff it sounds weird but that's the way it is. I've never talked to them & I can't. I've tried to figure out how to help myself I feel like I do need meds but I can't get them until I move out.,any advice to deal with it without meds? Plus I'm a pre med and if I fail my career ends :(
Hello!! First i would like to say, you are strong and dealing with that for that many years takes so much courage and strength that other people without mental illness could not possibly understand.
Also, i can understand how hard it is to not have an emotional support system. So here’s what i advise, if there is another adult you feel comfortable with, please friend them!! As much as we don’t like to admit it, adults actually know what they are doing and what should take place. find a way to release stress. mine is painting and drawing! or i’ll light some candles and put on my favorite music and just close my eyes.
if things get serious, please please consider looking for medical help. ask others you know that experience these things about their doctors and such. look into laws in your state/country about how old you need to be to be looking for medical help without parents if they are not helpful. Research what you can do and never be afraid to reach out. You are more important than you know so treat yourself that way!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

15.10.2018 // I’ve somehow become a morning person over the months and I’m a love-hate relationship with it
pros: I have plenty of time during the day cons: I wake up at freaking 5 or 6 on weekends I’m crying
By the way, I’m going to finish off my (already closed) 6k event today and tomorrow, please be patient!

Why should i study…
Study for you
Study for your future
Study to be successful
Study to inspire others
Study because it’s worth it
Study because you enjoy it
Study because others can’t
Study to help others
Study to achieve
Study to reach your goal
Study to create your dream
Study because you can
Study because you want to

What’s a studyblr? How do you do a flat lay? All good questions that I do not have the answer to. So bear through it while I try to figure it out.
In other news, senior year is happening too fast, regardless of whether I want it to happen or not.

may 19th 2015 // First post as a Studyblr! I created this account to motivate myself for a huge exam I’m sitting for this year. This exam determines which stream I’ll be going into next year whether it’s Science or Arts. Aiming for that Science stream, of course!
Currently studying BM Lit. for mid terms which start in two days! Ah, wish me luck!

Being burnt out means you’re probably feeling exhausted, unmotivated, unfocused and just generally “blegh” - an absolute nightmare when you’re trying to stay on track with school and studying. I’ve suffered from academic burn out a lot but it’s now something I know how to cope with, I’ve compiled my best tips and tricks for dealing with a burn out and how to ease yourself back into your studying!

me, showing off my university degree: that’s right everyone, i paid multiple dollars to the government in order to attain sporadic sprinklings of knowledge that i forgot two months after each class ended
What is the point of a studyblr? I’m genuinely asking, like I enjoy the graphics you create and seeing photos of well written notes, but I rarely feel like I am learning study tips or finding ways to be better in my academic career. For instance, I have a few learning disabilities so memorizing information is extremely difficult for me- I try to use the typical things people have taught me over the years, but it doesn’t always work for me but I don’t know of any blogs with resources I could use
For me, it was initially for motivation! I was really struggling to divide my time over different subjects that I didn’t like and was very unmotivated about studying the hard stuff. I was already using Tumblr for other blogs and find 3-4 blogs that posted desk photos and I found that quite motivating! I have a funny thing about seeing other people’s desks, I find them really motivating (honestly more than notes). I think using it for motivation is probably the key thing for other people too. There are definitely tips and tricks mixed with the community, but majority is probably photos! You might find my other blog @studyblrmasterposts helpful :-) I used to post a few advice posts and such but have since been more focused on answering questions. I think the individual use can really differ and you’ll be able to tailor it to find your needs! I’ve recently followed a few blogs for student age people focused on finance, organisation (on a bigger than studying scale), and more general ‘adult’ tips! Xx
