tummy time is my favourite methods for grounding: laying on the floor helps me to feel safe and calm. I use tummy time after panic attacks or during high anxiety episodes which trigger emotional regression.

here are some tips if you want to try using tummy time as a soothing or grounding method.

make sure you have a small, soft, safe space in your room which is cosy and easy to curl up in when you need it. (i have a little rug and lots of cushions on the floor for when i need to flop down)

use a pillow under your chest to help you lie down more comfortably

keep all your comfort items in one space so that they're easy to find during regressive episodes
