"They're" The emperor (not space emperor) who brought light (and dark) to this world but "they" made a deal with 5 young beans, who "they" told them to protect their home and cherish the time they will have (currently, the 5 have no time left...(they're immortals), their home has been stable over 1000+ years but Darkness tries to take over every kingdom and homes as possible (to overrule every royalty and stuff, presumably "the 'ruler' of the worlds")
