the dressing container needed a second round of soap and scrubbing but this was found so inconsequential it took five months to recall. and I could have phrased other complaints in further removed ways but I can't say I regret how it fell. a private joke with the neighbour of a ghost slips from my tongue as a habit, odd enough to raise eyebrows but not to be asked to explain. some things go untouched while other things don't but I know they'll be put to use soon. god. the words will not come and what does is inane (or perhaps add an s) and the problem, I fear, is the same. it's known and familiar, so many times circled: I don't really want it to end.
