To most, Sasuke is a character who fails to elicit a sense of empathy and this can irredeemably be boiled down to the fact that he is hard to "relate to".
Ever wondered why that is? Why most cannot understand the profound sense of displacement and utter revulsion he feels in and towards the world? Sasuke is so immensely driven, that people irrevocably chalk up his actions to a madness-tainted mind, one that's genetically impaired because of a so called Curse-of-Hatred, a maligned trait that's supposedly passed down throughout an entire clan.
And yet the answer is so preposterously simple: how many of us can even remotely fathom what it's like to suffer the horrors of genocide? Not one of us, cushioned by the plush niceties of a modern reality, some more some less, can even begin to connect, comprehend and ultimately empathise, or at least sympathise, with genocide victims.
It's just beyond the majority of people. We're emotionally disconnected, under the spell of psychic numbing. And it shows in the things some of us viciously write for kicks.
I can assure you, had my family, my cousins, my friends, my people been slaughtered by some random sycophantic state-obsessed lunatic by order of the government, I would set the fucking world on fire. My family means the absolute all to me and I'm positive that this is a sentiment shared by most, or should be at any rate, save for pathological situations.
The problem with the fandom is that it does everything to discredit the rage Sasuke feels, touting holier-than-thou discourse on forgiveness.
Fuck forgiveness, if my family were to be harmed, my brother, my mother, my father, my husband, my cousins, dear lord, killed because of a delirious pseudoscientific belief, I would want blood.
Why is it that so few seem to even vaguely understand this simple principle? Put yourself in his shoes - what would you do? Seriously, what would you honestly do? I wouldn't give a rat's arse about the power structures that be, hell, I don't give a damn now, but I'd definitely want to fucking nuke them out of existence if they enacted a fucking genocide.
People don't get it - Sasuke is described as all too human and the thing is, they think they're above his rancour when the reality of things wants that we be so much more petty even for the smallest things - like fanning over a character we don't like or criticising one you like - and you want me to believe you would be above wanting reprisal for the sake of your dead family?
TL,DR - Sasuke isn't illogical, it's simply that very few seem to be able to envision what it would be like to be the sole survivor of a genocide, to have the motivation to upturn the status quo, to possess the burning desire to reinstate your family's honour.
