After dealing with the constant disappointment from her parents, it felt truly refreshing for Diya to know that Lily had been so understanding. Not that she held the heiress to the same regard as her family or anything like that, but knowing that someone she respected so much was not going to hold it against her for having a little fun at a Halloween party meant everything to her. A smile on her lips as her nerves were finally calm, she nodded. “O-Oh my god, that would be great. I mean, you don’t have to… but if you really wanted to, I would love to have a picture with you.” Diya had always been hesitant to ask her for a photo, mainly because it felt like an invasion of someone’s privacy. But she was certainly grateful that Lily had offered to take a photo with her. “O-Oh… oh yeah, of course. Let’s see…” She paused to look over at the display of donuts in front of her before looking up at her. “How about a vegan box? It includes a selection of cinnamon sugar, s’mores, cherry bakewell,  raspberry jam, vanilla custard and a orange, pistaccio and cranberry glazed donuts. I’ll grab you two of each to make a dozen.” 

Lily had her own pair of extremely vicious parents and she’d never wanted to turn out like then. At the end of the day, they were both Asian women and all Lily wanted was for her to see that she could make it on her own. Sure, Lily had a world of assistance from her family but if it weren’t for her own hardwork, she wouldn’t have stood on her own two feet for so long. “I don’t know a lot about you, but I do know that the completely unsure expression you wear on your face is a look I sported myself many times when I was younger. I’ve had years to learn from my mistakes, some of them I’m still paying for to this day, but I know that I would want someone I admired to let me know that I was doing just fine. I didn’t need to have my life figured out just yet.” Without a second though, she went into her purse and pulled a rolex watch out. It was the one she’d gotten to match with Will, sliding it onto the younger girl’s wrist and clasping it on. “Perfect fit...” She then went to take a photo with her, the genuine smile showing no signs of going anywhere. “I’ll take three vegan boxes.... I would like to drop some off at the Children’s Hospital.”

“Or so I’ve been told.” She winked. “But I would like to hear all of the corny details from you, love. It seems to me like my little cousin’s quite smitten with you… although I’m not all that surprised by that.” Millie gasped. “Oh God, why must have I left home? It seems like I’ve missed so much of the gossip.” While Amelia’s relationship with the Walker side of her family was pretty much non-existent at this point, she was certainly grateful that her uncle and her cousins still treated her the same. She adored Will like her own brother, and she was certainly happy for him, knowing all that he had been through. “Anyways, how does it feel being back home? I missed Manchester more than ever, didn’t you?” As much as she hated to admit it, it was good to be home at last. 

Lily wanted nothing more than to roll her eyes at mere thought of flowers, but in an effort to keep the mood light she just pained herself with that same smile she’d been wearing since she saw her friend. “Amelia, William and I realized that while we are possibly... madly in love, we should probably go at a pace that puts as at ease.” this was completely untrue. Lily hadn’t had the conversation with anyone besides her therapist, but he would agree. He always agreed, right? Instead of rushing to tie the knot or move in together, they could act as if they were perfect strangers getting to know each other for the first time. “I’m ... happy to be back. My brother is marrying a beautiful young woman and I’m the maid of honor.. as I should be.” she teased and motioned for the butler to walk over. “Smithson, would you kindly bring Miss Walker and myself two glasses of Karuizawa Vintage?” he immediatwely went to oblige and Lily looked back to her friend. “So how are things with yourself and.... Garrett was it?”

Amelia’s friendship with Lily dated back to the days the girls had been in diapers, both of their families having a close friendship due to their involvement in the hotel industry. It was safe to say that she was just as much a second family to her as her uncle’s family had been, which was probably why she had found herself at the Horvejkul manor to see her friend. “Hey, chum… I know, you probably hate me for ghosting you and half of Manchester for the last five years and all… but I’m back now, and I’m not going anywhere. Oh and I brought you flowers… since I was told that you liked flowers. Word travels fast around The Edwardian, don’t judge me.” She greeted her friend as she held a up bouquet of roses that she had brought for Lily. “But I was hoping to hear the details from you… what’s going on between my cousin and I? Does this mean we’re going to become a family soon… like officially?” // @lilyhorvs​

Lily had wondered where the blonde went, figuring their friendship had withered into the speck of dust that it had become. Either way, she didn’t take Amelia’s disappearance personally, she knew how life could be dealing with their families and she was no stranger to the need of getting away. Hell, it was the reason she’d chosen a school in America, to get away from the controlling, hawk-like gaze of her overbearing parents and judgmental cousins. Life wasn’t easy for her when she’d chosen to publicly be with a man in the NBA, her family consistently sending her the articles about her failing relationship to said basketball player and how he was clearly mooching off of her wealth. Seeing the bouquet of flowers caused her to chuckle softly as she took them in her hand and shook her head. “Well, I absolutely love flowers. That would be why he sent me an entire garden’s worth, hm?” teasing right back, she looked down at her feet when the question came. “I wouldn’t say soon, we’re still working on it... but it’s in the cards eventually.”

Even if Will wasn’t entirely sure Lily had a reason to be angry with him, seeing as it was before they’d seen each other, he wasn’t about to tell her that. Whatever had happened, he’d upset her, made her feel insecure about herself, and that was his fault. “You look beautiful,” he smiled, stepping towards her, letting out a little laugh. “Well I would’ve only sent one… if you would’ve answered my calls, or my texts, or even my Instagram DMs. I didn’t even know those were a thing.” One of his hands settled on her waist, shaking his head. He would’ve come to her house, but something told him she would’ve likely turned him away, “I know I’ve upset you… but is there anything at all I could do to make you feel better besides buy you flowers?”

Lily was mildly aware that she ultimately truly didn’t have any right to be as upset with Will as she was, but often times it was difficult for her to accept her perception as anything besides reality. Sure, the kiss happened when he wasn’t even aware she was back home and she shouldn’t take it personally, but she would wonder for a while if he was harboring any feelings for the leggy brunette. These were concerns she would silently dwell on until they passed, maybe speak to her therapist about it as time went on because she knew that her internal insecurities were not his problem. “I’m sorry for ignoring you...” it was big of Lily to apologize, but she’d worked on herself over the years, especially after a failing engagement with her ex. “I simply couldn’t bare the thought of you kissing another woman so recently. I was being absolutely juvenile and for that I apologize.” she sighed out, pursing her lips into a thin line. “Oh you big idiot, just give me a kiss.”

I would imagine it’s like ... being like anyone else? We’ve all got our good days, bad days, those days where we’re completely unsure of how we feel at all. At the end of the day, we are all people and our wealth doesn’t make us. What we do with our wealth is the most important and that is why I try to donate as much as I can. I volunteer my time on holidays and I would even like to adopt children someday. 💞 

Well, if you must know, he and I will cross the bridge of marriage upon getting there but as we currently stand, things will proceed forward at a slower pace. Until we build a bond on trust, we have nothing and we don’t want to enter a marriage blindly. @willharris

There was a slight chance that they’d gone overboard. But really, what was he supposed to do? He had the feeling Lily still hadn’t forgiven him for kissing Bridgette on Halloween, especially with her not picking up his calls. So he did what any logical, obscenely rich man would do? He sent her bouquets on bouquets of flowers to her house, on top of copious amounts of chocolates and even a few pieces of diamond jewelry in the mix. Of course, his initial intention had been to gain her forgiveness, but he liked to think he was much smarter than people gave him credit for. Because he knew Lily. Had he known that sending her far too many flowers would likely annoy her enough into finally seeing him? Perhaps. Hearing her shout brought a grin onto his face, pulling him away from the kitchen and into the foyer. “Lily, you look magnificent today. I see you’ve been getting my presents?” he replied with a charming smile on his face.

Will simply had a way of getting his way with Lily, she was practically wrapped around his finger even if it seemed as though she was the one calling the shots. Her love for this man ran far deeper than anyone could imagine and she’d wanted to see him the past few days, she just wanted him to be the one to show up. In a way, he showed up multiple times by having the numerous deliveries to her home, and that was cute and all, but she was clearly annoyed. “Oh... you think I look good?” immediately smiling at the compliment from Will as she looked down at her very well put together outfit. “Wait no... Will..” she was never one to be violent in her reactions, she simply sighed and stepped closer to him before setting the bouquets down on the stand in the foyer. “I truly do appreciate the sentiment,,, I love it, I do. But next time ... one bouquet will do.”

Normally, Lily would be absolutely pleased to receive flowers from the man she loved more than life itself, but not when her entire foyer was now filled with an assortment of bouquets. Initially, she was just going to put them into vases, then she had to start putting them around her garden, now it was just beginning to become too much. Having called him, she told him she was coming to visit but she made sure to sound neutral per usual. That was the thing about Lily, whether she was happy or upset, she had the ability to remain composed at all times, so no one truly knew what to expect from her. After finally arriving to the man’s home, she yells, “WILL, WHERE ARE YOU?!” as loud as she can, a complete one-eighty from the small, quiet woman she typically was. In her arms were three bouquets, she had a point she needed to make. 

Diya’s eyes grew wide as the other mentioned her story. Having had such an embarrassing night at the party, the poor girl had managed to uninstall all social media apps from her phone - indefinitely. She hadn’t been paying attention to what anyone was posting, let alone what Lily was posting - which Diya would have known by now had she been on social media at all. A part of her was feeling relieved that her stupid self had managed to make it on Lily’s story, while another part of her was still very much embarrassed about the entire night. “Uh… yeah, Lily, I’m- I’m so sorry about what happened. Someone convinced me to do shots with them and that wasn’t a responsible thing to do.” Diya was certainly relieved that Lily seemed genuinely concerned about her health, which she appreciated so much. “Thank you so much. I… I didn’t mean to worry you like that. It’s just that… my old flatmate and I used to watch your show. I guess I’m kind of a fan?” She confessed, smiling nervously. “I guess I was a little starstruck. I’m sorry, does that seem creepy? That probably seems creepy. Forget that I even said any of that. What can I get you?” 

Lily couldn’t help but smile at Diya, someone she’d recognized as probably the sweetest person in the world. The heiress didn’t make it her business to mingle amongst her supporters on a consistent basis, but she’d be lying to say she didn’t recognize the young student from a comment here and there, always being incredibly supportive. She just didn’t remember her name or URL so she had no way of directly messaging her to ask how she was doing. It wouldn’t have made much of a difference seeing as how she wasn’t on social media anymore anyway. “Please, you were having fun darling. Everyone has a little too much fun, especially on holidays such as Halloween. You have nothing to apologize for.” Reaching into her bag, she pulled out an Instax polaroid camera, chuckling lightly. “If this makes your week better at all, I would like to take a photo with you and sign it, so you can hold onto it.” It was still weird for her, pandering to ‘fans’ in this manner, but she knew it could make a world of difference to have a positive encounter with someone you idolize. “By the way, I would like... donuts of your suggestion. You pick.”

will: you don't have to say anything else.

will: you know that's not what i meant

will: lily, nothing you do will change how i feel about you. you don't have to be perfect for anyone, you just have to be you. i would never do anything to hurt you.

will: i don't know, but what i do know is that i've loved you since the day i met you. and you can get angry with me for this, but that's not going to change it. i'm not making the same mistake i made when you left all those years ago.

lily: okay...

will: you're right, because unlike any of mine, your relationship was on television, for the entire world to see.

will: you weren't even in the picture, lily. you hadn't spoken to me in years. i kissed her because i was lonely. because the only two woman that i had loved dearly left me, one way or another.

will: but you're here now, so things couldn't possibly be the same as they were a week ago.

lily: and the entire world got to see me get cheated on by twenty five women. thank you so very much for that reminder.

lily: i'm just not confident will. i'm a mess. no one is perfect but everyone has this idea that i am.

will: i suppose i didn't know the two of you were friends

will: come on lily

will: it's not as if you haven't kissed other people either. but it was in the past, and i thought we were thinking about our future together.

lily: we are friends of some sort. i don't hate him and i guess that's well enough.

lily: i have but you knew who i kissed will... you knew everything i've done and everyone i've been with.

will: franky? why are talking to franky?

will: i did, though we were both drunk. it didn't mean anything.

will: i hadn't even seen you yet when it had happened.

will: lily. i don't want to be with bridgette, i want to be with you.

lily: i didn't know i needed a reason to speak with my friends?

lily: right...

will: bridgette? what's that supposed to mean?

lily: i had a meal with franky. great guy.

lily: anyway, he informed me that you kissed bridgette. recently.

lily: she's beautiful so i'm not upset or anything.

will: hello gorgeous

will: i did, though it would've been better if i could've seen you.

will: how was your day?

lily: oh me?
