“Ooh-” Lily exclaimed as she saw the different marshmallows, “They look so good! I’ll try these ones next, are they flavoured?” She asked. “I think I just keep leaving it in for too long, It’s hard not to get distracted!” 

Lily frowned for a moment at Lola’s doubt, before quickly turning it back into a smile. “It’s the truth! You still would look crazy beautiful even with a sunburn!” Lily insisted, before nodding in agreement, “The sun is very tempermental, it’s worse when it’s not hot at all and it still gets you!” 

Lily put her phone down with a sigh, “Define okay?” She asked, “I don’t know how to fix this, it’s like roadblocks are meeting me at every turn.” 

“I didn’t! Where are they hiding?” Lily questioned, moving her eyes around to see if she could spot them. It distracted her for a second too long and her marshmallow started to burn in the fire, quickly she pulled it out. “As much as I love extra gooey marshmallows, I feel as if there’s a trick I’m missing.” 

“I just mean that it’s really doing it’s best today.” She answered, “Do you think it’s doing it just for us?” Lily asked with absolutely no sarcasm on her voice, thinking over the idea of the sun coming out just for them. “I swear to you, the only time I could ever complain about too much sun is if it’s too hot.” She all but promised. Lily thought the question over for a second, “Ah, shoot. I didn’t bring any! Did you bring yours?” 

“Sounds great! Oh, I’m so excited for this.” Lily exclaimed before clapping her hands together in excitement. “Should we stay away from anything flowy, then?” 

“Oh- uh...” Lily muttered as she looked down to the bits of wood she had collected. “Then... I don’t have anything.” She admitted, “I thought it just balanced out?”

A large smile crossed her features as he accepted her promise. “If it’s horrible I promise I’ll... Do whatever you want to do next time?” She offered, “But I won’t need to, because it’ll be so worth it!” 

“I feel so bad for people who couldn’t eat marshmallows, that would be such a sad life.” Lily mused, letting her marshmallow sit for a little longer before pulling it out. “Isn’t it just? Imagine having a life before these were invented!” 

“That’s exactly what I’m thinking. Surely it’d instil even more confidence in your skills. Would sexy librarian style be too far?” 

“So they wouldn’t notice if I did a few stand out patterns? I was thinking of something like this,” Lily spoke as she quickly flipped through her sample book before pointing to a pokadot pattern, “Maybe with some ruffled sleeves?” 

Lily made a face at the mere thought of a sunburn, “Honestly, I can’t think of anything worse than that- the red burnt look doesn’t go well with a lot. At least for me, you would look great even with the tomato look!” She said, holding the sunscreen out to Lola. 

Lily gasped as Kennedy mentioned red, stunned at herself that she never thought of it. “Red would look amazing on you! Are you after more of a dress style or like a classy top?” Lily asked as she moved to pull out some samples to show. 

“Well, someone said that and I think we need to find that someone,” Lily commented, picking up a rod before flipping it around to try and find it’s number. “Do you think they purposely try and make this hard?”

“I think today has to be the day that changes. They can’t make you supervise all the time. How about... some ping pong? Do you like ping pong?” 

“Are you serious? I refuse to believe you actually think that! The sunset makes you look extra, extra pretty.” 

“I like to float around a lot with parties like these, never in one place for long!” Lily explained, before tilting her head as she looked at Ruby, “Do you really? So you have no fun? That’s not fair at all!”
