At the beginning of the year, I purchased a pretty popular favorite from the Monif C. collection. The 'Marilyn' Ruched Convertible Dress in Teal.

I finally wore it this weekend to a wedding (perfect occassion), and received numerous compliments.  Those long straps were quite the challenge, but with practice I should be able to master the numerous looks.

I paired the form-fitting dress with a pair of RSVP nude pumps from Zappos (and let me tell you, those are the most comfortable pair of pumps I've ever worn...Even though they have it listed as having a 3.5 inch heel, and it's really like 4.5), for a nice touch of classic elegance - And below was the end product.

The dress comes with 9-foot long straps (which handled my height and fluffiness pretty well), and can be worn in more than 22 different ways. I caught a major sale when buying this dress (paid $109 I think. It's originally $199), so divide 109 by 22 *breaks out calculator* and that's about $4.95 for each look....Not bad.

Recently, I've been infatuated with the whole black and white craze; But also adding some pop colors to it.  For instance, wearing a body-conscious black and white dress with a bright orange blazer.  Or wearing a hot pink lipstick with some black cropped pants and a white blouse.  However, when my checking account balance began teetering in the 'no-fly' zone, I took a step back and compiled some of my favorite finds for all my tall ladies out there.
