I get that people need to make jokes about some things to cope. But you are not one of the children and teachers forced to return to school and you aren’t in a position where you have to cope with it. You’re just an asshole.

It becomes especially insidious when you remember/realize that the US school system criminalizes truancy. Either these kids go back to school in a pandemic or they/their parents can get into legal trouble or imprisoned.
