He chuckled when she mentioned mirrors in his home. “I have plenty of mirrors, I assure you.” Maverick glanced up as the chef came to get their order. Placing his, he quickly returned his attention back to her as she started telling him about her hair colors. “I’m having a hard time picturing a pastel…” He said looking up to her hair then back down to her eyes. “Well the purple looks very lovely on you…” He said, completely unsure who Ramona or Scott were. He chuckled when she asked what the verdict was. “I think you are, yes.” He was not going to correct her by saying he had only been with brunettes in the past, and that he was married to one for over twenty years. “What are you normally doing on your weekends? I can’t imagine you are filling all of your evenings with getting older men to take you to dinner.”

Her thoughts were immediately not on the appropriate use of mirrors and she had to clear her throat to avoid further embarrassment. “Well, you’re not likely to see it pastel again. I think once you find what’s a right fit, it’s just a right fit. Only time will tell, I guess. Until then, I can definitely entertain you with other pastel things.” Her lips turned up into a playful smile. Lilith found the man’s cleverness attractive, the way he danced around things he didn’t know endearing. “I like all types of people.” She hummed with a pause to let that settle in. “None so attractive or such good company. A normal weekend is usually a few hours of custom work for clients because I live on their schedules and a few hours of dreaming up new designs. I like to do the usual things most nights; movies, music, dancing in my underwear with a glass of red.” She gave him a wink. “What about you?”
