And you’re spot on, r wouldn’t ask because she’d never want to be seen as taking advantage, even though we know thats not the case and alexia would never think that.

And even when alexia asks, I always imagined r being a little sceptical 😂 like obviously she would love too, and it’s the next natural step for them, but she’ll worry about the logistics before anything else, e.g what bus she would have to catch to get to work when alexia couldnt drop her off 😂 and she’d probably miss her tiny basic apartment 😂

Side note: I did think about alexia surprise buying r a car when they moved in together, and we can all imagine r’s reaction to that 😂

Okay, so when I first started this story, I didn’t really think about it going beyond the original 8 chapters, which is so crazy to think now the universe has grown so much 🥹 but anyway, when i was first writing it, I knew I wanted her to have a sister and nieces/nephew because it was through them that r found out about Alexia being a footballer, plus i thought a loving/annoying sister and kids would be more interesting to include than parents. And the parents just weren’t relevant in that original story so they didn’t feature.

Fast forward to the universe growing to what it has, and I suppose the parents have become a bit of an elephant in the room, we just don’t talk about them. But over time, I thought, maybe it would be interesting if maybe r’s relationship with her parents was a little strained. R is genuinely chill/happy go lucky, so it’s a nice plot device if she has these great loving relationships with everyone except her parents…

In the chapter where alexia goes to England, and her conversation with Maggie, Maggie briefly mentions their parents being loving but not always understanding of r. Maybe they didn’t quite adapt to her interests, or her life, or struggled with her being a little different when she was younger. Maybe r just needed people who loved and supported her, and Maggie provided that.

But I haven’t really set anything in stone, so I could absolutely have something where r talks about her parents and things are good between them or not.

I guess I’ll put that question out to yourself and anyone else who’s interested - would you like to see something about r’s parents? If so shall their relationship be positive, negative, or inbetween?

You’re right, they would be so obsessed with each other. And r would be really nervous, but I can imagine her trying really hard not to show it because she wants it to be all about Alexia. Alexia will notice of course, and maybe even admit to having nerves of her own, with all the pressure and expectations and what not. It’ll be a really cute moment, but none of that will compare to how proud r will be. She’ll be bursting with pride, crying from happiness 🥹

Yeah 🥰 it’s played such a special part in their love story. I mean, obviously it doesn’t matter where they are as long as they’re together, but their home will always be Barcelona. Like I say, we’ll see what happens, and if there comes a time where it feels right, then maybe but for now they’ll stay in Barcelona. There’s so many more adventures for them 🥰

Yea if I keep following this timeline we’ll be here forever 😂 so skipping makes sense. I think it’ll be lovely to explore those big life moments.

Honestly, moving Alexia to LCL would reopen all the wounds we’ve all tried so hard to mend 😭

But you’re exactly right, everything they are is Barcelona, their love, their lifestyle, their adventures. There’s no reason they can’t go to London at some point, but I want it to feel organic and not forced. And we all fell in love with them here, I can’t help but think the heart of story will change a lot if I moved them.

I don’t want to say yes I will, or no I won’t, because anything can happen, and if it’s good for the story then maybe I will. But you’re right, thats the beauty of this story, anything can happen.

Sorry, I know that’s a rubbish answer. I think probably at some point I will have Alexia move to LCL, but all of the requests and ideas I have planned probably would fit better with alexia at Barça. So we’ll keep her there for now.

But at the same time, I still don’t really know. I wonder what will happen to the story if they’re in London, because so much of its essence is reader being in Spain and living her life with Alexia, learning from Alexia.

The dynamics will change in London, will it be boring? What will they do? Bromley isn’t Barcelona 😂

Sorry, I guess my answer is I don’t know, I think it’s one of those elephant in the room situations, I’m ignoring it for now but for how long can I do that.

❤️❤️❤️ I’m looking forward to sharing. I’ll be honest, im a little nervous about the argument. In fact, I probably shouldn’t refer to it as that because it’s more of a misunderstanding. There isn’t really any shouting it in, r is just very upset and confused, can’t really wrap her head about what happened.

I’ll probably make a post nearer the time explaining a bit more my mindset because I don’t want people going into it with certain expectations and then be disappointed. It is angsty, there’s no doubt about that, but it’s mainly quiet angst, like they’re each suffering whilst apart.

The insecure one is also angsty, and of course we’ll have Alexia be the best partner she can be. She won’t try to fix it, because things like that can’t be fixed over night but she’ll do everything she can to make sure r doesn’t feel alone. I’ll make a post about that one too nearer the time because it’s a sensitive subject and I want to make sure I do it right (or at least try to)
