what is it called when you have crush on someone but that crush has surpassed into adulthood

I know at the end of the day this girl is genuinely unhappy in her current situation so me responding will do nothing but make her spiral further. I can’t change the way she feels/looks at herself but not giving her any access to me will hopefully help her mental health.

I think back then you made it known that you saw me as a friend so it wouldn’t be different now. I shouldn’t have let my little crush follow me into adulthood. Honestly thats my fault, but I am happy to be see you doing well. 🫶🏽
