Right, but money does buy FREEDOM, it buys SECURITY and PEACE of mind, and it gives you power. But I guess having freedom and economic safety from poverty isn’t something that makes these selfish and clueless, privileged assholes happy because they want MORE while some people have NOTHING, let alone the right to keep living should the rug be pulled from underneath them any time the government or big corporations deem it so. I can’t imagine how much ignorant bliss it must be to be comfortable saying something like this without fear of being slapped. I’d die to hear anyone say this to a young child dying in a Middle Eastern country. Money buys life if not happiness, and fuck anyone who tries to convince the poor that they don’t need it or deserve it when they themselves have it.

Oh, but why the distinction? The government is just a big corporation too.
