Butterfly in the Sky

I’m gonna need people to explain the controversy about the latest Batgirl cover to me since I haven’t been in touch with DC in a looooong-ass time. I’m not familiar with The Killing Joke or the current run of Batgirl. I understand after briefly researching both why this cover was an issue and the reasons behind why it was pulled. I don’t understand why on the other side of this is the shit Joker “I manipulate and emotionally + physically abuse Harley Quinn” pulls.

Because last I remember there was also a variant cover (which is arguably just as disturbing as the original cover which I also have added) of Joker going batshit fucking nuts as he brutally and viciously smashes in what appears to be a fourteen-year-old Jason Fucking Todd’s head and to me that makes sense because he’s completely fucked.
