THE CRIMES OF YAZID (LA), PISAR E SAAD (LA), SHIMR (LA) and IBN E ZIYAD (LA)
There are political aspects to the crimes of people and their ancestors involved in perpetrating Karbala. Tonight we unravel the personal vendettas behind each atrocity inflicted upon my everything Imam Hussain (as). What is written here and before and to be, none of it is exaggeration because reference from mutual sources are available. The research is unbiased and thought provoking and open to discussion in case anyone likes to, I invite your intellect to ask whys and whats.
Maqatils have very brutal realities stored in them. Some of them are soul shattering and we wonder why such pain was inflicted upon the progeny of Rasool Allah (saww)? The research reveals some shocking truths. The research should be unbiased so we reach the realities without any personal favorism pouring in between. The research shows that people who gathered in Karbala on Ashura were lead by those who carried disrespect for Huzoor (saww) and extreme negative sentiments such as jealousy, hatred, disregard etc. towards his family members. This goes as much deep as ancestoral issue which we unravel in the following paragraphs.
One of the issue was the power of personality. As per Maslow's Need's Theory it is already proven that ordinary achieves power through money, status, position, or network. Hashmiettes had power due to their character and personality. The ancestoral lineage linking directly to Hazrat Ibrahim (as) involved no polytheistic affiliation. Their name in business, their intellect in religion and theology, their grip on philosophy and their courage in battlefield were extremely popular. They were also distinguished by their physical features such as height, broad shoulders, dense brown hair, and most strikingly the facial features like canvas with deep oceanic eyes that held intense gaze, sharp nose and bright foreheads. These features were classic Hashimiet features which led people in awe of their personality and character over all and thus Bani Hashims were the most famous tribe.
They also married within the families with some prophetic lineage or they married within their own tribe leading to a generational pool of beauty, piety, character, humility, knowledge and wisdom. There are people who link certain someone's to the family of Huzoor (saww) as his uncle but it doesnt make any sense. So we open our mind to find the link. The lineage of Yazid by the way is from same (fabricated) uncle.
Abdul Munaf (the famous descendent from Ibrahim's (as) generation) had two sons - Amr and Abd Az Shams. Some books say that these sons were twins. Amr came to be known as Hashim due to charitable actions and inclination towards collective good. He was extroverted, popular for his generosity and humility. Abd Az Shams was more individualistic and business minded and mostly introverted with disinterest in society overall. With the same mindset Abd Az Shams wanted to expand his trade and become successful so he made a settlement in Syria as it was a profitable region for trade while Amr (Hashim) became the leader of Makkah due to his nature, charity and approach towards greater good, following his father Abdul Munaf.
Abd Az Shams did not have any children. He had one black teenager as house help. This teenager assisted Abd Az Shams in home as well as in his trade and business travels in Syria. Therefore he started being seen frequently with Abd Az Shams in official meetings and travels. This black teenager was named Umayya - the word which translates to concubine (slave). Umayya was black so his generations the Umayyad inherited his physical and other features. This black slave tookover the business and trade of Abd Az Shams who died in 40th year of his life. The fortune was sudden and exuberant which made Umayyad greedy and he wanted to also grab shares from inheritance of Abd Al Munaf from Hashim. The rivalry began.
Umayya had two grandsons Harb and Aas. Harb is known as Abu Sufiyan. Aas is the father of Marwaan. This also explains the wealth Abu Sufiyan had to attack Muslims, gather big forces for attacking Muslims before his conversion to Islam because the wealth of Abd Az Shams and his expanded trade relations came under Umayyad and supported his generations. I used to wonder how come a man who invested his entire life to arrange combat against Huzoor (saww) as per islamic history books taught in schools and he acceped Islam on Fatah Makkah and became such a respected individual after years of kufr , denial, plots for massacre and anti islamic schemes then gets to have prominence as custodian of principles of same deen he wanted to destroy so bad with many ahadiths linked to him and his son became one of the Ashra Mubashira personality? Questions on Ashura Mubashira later. These both topics are a debate for another time.
Long story short, Yazid is the grandson of Abu Sufiyan and Umayya. The power which Umayya couldn't snatch from Hashim, the eminence and leadership which Umayya wanted to snatch from Hashim, it was snatched three generations later with a very thoughtful plan and with a very persuasive propaganda.
Hashimies were therefore superior than Umayyad and well knowned in Makkah and surrounding regions and Umayyad were clear rivals of Hashmis. Umayya the black slave of Abd Az Shams couldn't come to Makkah that often because here his reality was known to Hashims, that he usurped the business of Abd Az Shams of course that he had no link or lineage to Abd Al Munaf but in Syria due to the expanded business of Abd Az Shams he was known as the successor of Abd Az Shams and later was fabricated as the son of Abd Az Shams and his successors were wrongly proclaimed as 'uncles' or relatives of the holy Prophet (saww).
Remember this detail for Part 2 : Personal Vendetta
THE CRIMES OF YAZID (LA), PISAR E SAAD (LA), SHIMR (LA) AND IBN E ZIYAD (LA)
Part 2: Personal Vendetta
There is a political aspect to this history of course. As per international law, politics is also influenced by leadership and leadership personality traits. There is a need to understand that when 9lakh people are asked to gather to kill grandson of Rasool Allah (saww) why they didn't just kill and get over with their motive. Why they resorted to dismantling, dismembering, plundering, burning, and other crimes. In addition, why the killing was also unusually brutal? There are personal vendettas involved.
Imam Hussain (as) alone is my focus. Imam Hussain (as) was extremely beautiful and eloquent. He held a charismatic charm that was magnetic. There is a mutual consensus that his face was very attention grabbing. This is why Huzoor (saww) advised Bibi Sayeda (SA) to recite 4 quls on his grandsons evening and morning to wade evil eye. In Dil Ruba e Quloob it is written that anyone who saw Imam Hussain (as) used to first be spell bound and mesmerized then reported that their heart wanted to be in his presence more and more. These people also reported to recognize Imam Hussain (as) as Huzoor's (saww) descendant due to stark resemblance in facial features and speech. Therefore the eyes, forehead and nose in particular was very much like Huzoor (saww) and the cheeks, jawline, mouth and teeth were very much like Imam Ali (as). And since Imam Ali (as) and Huzoor (saww) were both cousins, the features were equally similar, beautiful and aligned so these Hashimi Arabs were known far and wide due to their inner and outer beauty.
Yazid (la) on the other hand being descendant of a black slave not only had personality flaws but also he considered himself in an unappealing perspective. In his mind, he was clumsy, had no opinion about subjects like religion, economy, science, and philosophy. When he spoke his intonation was not clear which created a sense of agitation to the person hearing him and his face had very hard features with peakan shaped eyes that were blue. Another issue that no one speaks of. The generation of Umayya - the black slave - had Waardenburg Syndrome which causes a noticeable gap in the two eyebrows, a relatively flat - as if nose cartridge does not exists - nose, upturn nostrils, thin upper lips etc. This disease also causes skin pigmentation. So part of the skin is melanin deficient while other is deposited with pigment causing patches here and there. These issues made Yazid (la) feel ridiculous amongst the kids his own age. He used to bully the kids he played with. Parents which were dignitaries in the court of Mawiya started complaining. Therefore Muawiya bought a baby monkey for him when he was 5 with which Yazid (la) used to talk and play. This is why when Abdullah Ibn e Umar met Imam Hussain (as) during his Makkah visit he did say, "Islam is now in the hands of someone who talks and sleeps with a monkey." It is also a debate that the son of Hazrat Umar did recognize the urgency on which Islam needed to be saved but he chose to stay aloof from the forefront to avoid any confrontation with anyone.
I am not racists to elaborate these details. I want to shed light into the personal vengeance and personal sentiments that led to extremity of crimes on Ashura which are NOT exaggerations by Shias but actually perpetrated by pseudo personalities of Islam and their sons. Which are in true essence real DISRESPECT OF RISALAT which we should recognize.
The condition of Yazid (la) is explained above. He was a narcissistic person who talked to the mirror in self pleasing manner. He hated Huzoor (saww) and his family. He hated hashmiettes. He particularly hated Imam Hussain (as) and Imam Hassan (as). He had heard the generational combat stories from his father and forefathers. In addition the humiliation was huge because in the age where media and fast commute didn't exist, Syria was filled with the accolades for Ali (as) and his sons while the sons of Umayya so far couldn't extend their influence and this extension was a generational and ancestoral wish. My focus is not who came into islamic leadership how therefore I skip the details and move to when Yazid (la) came in power. Yazid (la) hated Imam Hussain (as). He had heard about his personality charisma and spiritual gifts which made Imam Hussain (as) being wanted and praised, something Yazid (la) lacked which always fanned his insucirties wherever the name Imam Hussain (as) was mentioned. Therefore, his first order of business was to kill Imam Hussain (as). He took the guise of religion to mention three powerful names of that time as his immediate targets:
And strangely all his forces and followers gathered to only kill one of them while other two continued to lead a normal life and died a normal death.
THE CRIMES OF YAZID (LA), PISAR E SAAD (LA), SHIMR (LA) and IBN E ZIYAD (LA)
Part 3: The mutilation of Imam Hussain (as)
Keeping Part 1 and 2 in mind, below is the brief glimpse of what was done to my Imam Hussain (as) during and post his murder.
CRIMES OF PISAR E SAAD (LA)
Umar Ibn e Saad Bin Abi Waqas was the commander in chief of Yazid's army. He was backed by Ibn e Ziyadh and Shimr. Following the footsteps of his forefathers, and alliance was formed to kill Imam Hussain (as). The tribes were paid heavy bounty to part take in Ashura by Ibn e Ziyad (la). The pretext were many but one of them was, "If you want to avenge your ancestors who died in war against Ali (as) then come to Koofa immediately."
Another pretext, "If you want to please Allah (SWT) then support the Caliph Yazid is crushing insurgents who want to dismantle Caliphate and eradicate Islam (Naozobillah).
Another pretext, "If you want to have gold and alms, without much hardwork then send your men to outskirts of Koofa in a battle that will last one day. The men leave your house, then the men of Ibn e Ziyadh will leave gold and alms on your door step."
- Umar Ibn e Saad agreed on a one on one battle but he violated by changing one on one strategy with attack from all four sides, kill by distraction and manipulation.
- He proudly announced being the first to shoot first arrow towards Hussaini's tents marking it as the official beginning of combat against Imam Hussain (as)
- Umar Ibn e Saad (la) violated the ceasefire during Salah break with a plan to kill Imam Hussain (as) during his salah.
- Umar Ibn e Saad (la) continued to reach for tents of Imam Hussain (as) to distract Imam Hussain (as) from his defensive combat because the intensity of Imam's war alone repulsed his forces back that Hameed Ibn e Muslim reports the last wing of 09lakh assimilation gathered to kill the Imam was hitting the gates of Koofa from Imam Hussain (as) first retaliatory attack which reportedly lasted 03 hours non-stop. The second attack and the third attacks are also a piece of awe and research however this some other time. The total combat of Imam Hussain (as) alone is remarkable.
- Umar Ibn e Saad ordered 10 horses to trample the slain and beheaded body of Imam Hussain (as) on Ashura crushing his ribs, spine, and other bones making his slain and beheaded body almost be a part of sands of Karbala.
- Umar Ibn e Saad (la) ordered burning and plundering of the Hussaini (as) tents
Shimr (la) had the same genetic disease as Yazid (la). His face was horribly inflicted with the disease making him cover his face and if he revealed (it is written in books) that the sight of his face scared children to start crying and pregnant women to lose fetus from the sheer trauma of looking at his face. He had issue with Imam Hussain (as) on many levels. Most importantly he hated Imam Hussain (as) for his glow while the shadows on Shimr's face haunted him. Instead of fixing his soul he darkened it while wanting to snatch the life out of Imam Hussain (as) smile since forever. The chance emerged on Ashura and he grabbed it
When Imam Hussain (as) fell from the horse, he was near Euphrates. He was tortured by spears, swords, rocks, pebbles and sand making him lose blood due to massive injuries and blood loss. From this place till present day Qatal Gah still present in Karbala, SHIMR (la) dragged my wounded Imam Hussain (as). Dragged, slapped, beat, humiliated, disrespected Imam Hussain (as) throughout this distance until he beheaded him alive from the back of Imam's neck with 13 strikes.
- he beated, traumatized, and humiliated a four year old daughter of Imam Hussain (as) to heart failure on 24th day of captivity in Shaam.
CRIMES OF IBN E ZIYADH (LA)
- He looked at the head of Imam Hussain (as) and toyed with the blood ridden hair. He toyed with the shut eyes. And then he lifted the head with hair in his hands and viewed the severed veins. The head was severed uneven and rough so he chopped the veins more to make the neck better even.
- He spoke to the head of Imam Hussain (as) and said, "The Victors of Badar and Hunaian, The Victors of Siffeen and Jamal lay silent while the previously defeated are now on the throne of Koofa. Who is the powerful now?" And then he tossed the head on the ground. He tossed the head from the tip of his cane.
Yazid (la) insulted the head by touching the head with a stick and then first looking at the parched lips then hitting the teeth with his stick and then praising the evenly distributed teeth and jaw then hitting the head with stick in anger in front of the entire courtroom where he then used AYAT WA Tu izzu man tashao WA Tu zillo man Tasha for his own advantage as if his victory is from Allah (SWT) Naozobillah and the apparent distress on the progeny of Rasool (SWT) and almost extinction of Bani Hashim clan is coming as a will of Allah (SWT) (Naozobillah)
As an insult to the beautiful features he kept the head in a serving tray and kept the head underneath his seat on which he was sitting in his castle and then later underneath the bed he slept for as long as the women were in captivity.
