1 - Faztu wa Rabb al-Ka'ba

By the lord of the Kaaba i have succeeded

2 - Maa raa'aytu illa jameela

I saw nothing but beauty

3 - Hal min nasirin yansurna

In so much chaos and noise

Where is tranquility and bliss?

Just one secluded spot and zikr

To forget all that exists!

Where words travel before they are formed

And where some mystery still persists

The Lord of Hussain (as) is ever so kind

To hold so gently, my existence in bits.

السلام عليك يا أم البنين

Peace be upon you, O Ummul Baneen,

السلام عليك يا أم العباس بن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام

Peace be upon you, the mother of Abbas, son of Amir al-Mu’mineen, Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (as),

السلام عليك وعلى أولادك الأربعة المستشهدين بين يدي الإمام الحسين عليه السلام يوم عاشوراء 

Peace be upon you & your four sons who sacrificed their lives for Imam Hussain (as) on the day of Ashura

Let me ask you: would you expect any less from the lady in whose veins runs the blood of the same Zahraس who stood in a court full of munafiqeen and fought for fadak?

Does it surprise you that she stood firm in the face of zulm and oppression when her fatherع taught her nothing less?

Does it surprise you even though she shares the blood of Hussainع who was butchered in front of her eyes and he preferred being slaughtered to giving bayat to those who would do nothing but taint and damage deen e Haq?

She carries in her the blood of Haider e Karrarع and Fatima az-Zahraس. She is jabl as-sabr; a mountain of patience. But what is a mountain compared to her; she could shatter them all with her resilience and a single line that she utters.

Preparations for the month of sorrow, Muharram 1443 underway in the Holy City of Karbala, Iraq 🏴

The dome to the Holy Shrine of Imam Al Hussain (AS) is being washed in preparation for the annual flag changing ceremony which is scheduled for Monday 9th of August (Subject to moon sighting) 1st Muharram 1443.
