Letting the little blonde poke him in the chest, he chuckled. “ No. I used to be a skellington, however. ” Skeleton, Jack. You were a skeleton before this. Cringing, he only let his embarrassment show for a moment before the girl took his arm, and it all melted away into an excited smile. “ Oh, trust me, if books start flying off shelves, I’ll be right behind you !! ” Angry ghosts were not something to mess with, and Jack knew better than anyone to just let them do their thing and wait until they calmed down. “ Before we get started, I must tell you something.” He paused, mostly for dramatic effect, and then leaned in just a bit. “ My name’s Jack. ”

“wow. like, full-on bones, no meat, type? ” are there any other types? well, maybe, like... not fully decomposed ones, she guessed.the idea was slighlty terrifying, but he looked like a normal person now. like an alive person. that was good enough. “how fast are you? because i can’t leave you behind, but i also don’t wanna die.” she froze in place, eyes wide as she waited for some other spooky revelation. she felt every limb relax as he told her his name. slapping him lightly on the arm. “you scared me! it’s nice to meet you, jack. i’m liv.”

“sign me up, i am always in the mood for ice cream! i could be in the north pole, having a playdate with the penguins and i’d be like ‘guys, we should totally get some ice cream’... though i don’t think penguins eat ice cream.”

“come on! let’s do one more!  snapchat always messes up the face swap so beautifully. we have to at least try to get a picture this time!”

Looking over at her, he chuckled a bit. “ I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but ghost friend. ” Jack was good with ghosts, knew how they acted and reacted to certain things. In Halloweentown, they were common, just another batch of citizens to take care of. “ Most ghosts aren’t truly scary unless they haven’t given the chance to pass. And that’s only because they want to see what the next chapter has to offer. ” He chuckled again, truly lost by her words, but knowing they were still on the subject of ghosts. “ I’m usually good with ghosts,” he continued, looking at the book he pulled off the shelf, decided he didn’t actually need it, and put it back. “ I come from a place where they’re fairly commonplace. Very nice.” He looked back to the blonde, offering her his arm. “ Maybe we should go find this one ?? ”

“i’m not really into horror movies, but as an actress i like to keep my options open. and if i want to do a horror movie one day-- which, i’m totes not ruling out-- then i have to watch horror movies sometimes. and i watched the conjuring. and i had to sleep in maddie’s bed for a week, so yeah. i’d rather not LIVE the conjuring. or the exorcist. ew.” she narrowed her eyes, lips pursed. “you’re not a ghost, are you?” one finger poking soflty at his chest, reassured by how solid he felt. she sighed, grabbing his arm. “fine. but as soon as books start flying off shelves, i’m outie.”
