Happy Nameday to @stalwart-spirit! Apologies that this is only loosely linked to Dalmasca (although I maintain that Saeed is a very important part of the kingdom's story) - I'm a bit behind with things and I thought better a subpar poem on the right date than missing it completely.

I went for a Fairytale AU - having been suitably inspired by the fantastic sketch by @sayonaramidnight here.

It was quite tricky to sort out an outfit for Humble's scene at the Palace Ball - initially I went for an Ishgardian vibe, complete with thighboots, which looked very nice, but then I realised that he'd need to lose a slipper when running out at mightnight and it's really quite hard to accidentally lose a thighboot. So he ended up with a more Corvosian look, which will hopefully be enough to catch the eye of a certain Miqo'te Prince...

They also aren't glass slippers, partly because that's quite hard to achieve in vanilla gpose and partly because, at over 700lbs, Humble would be risking a nasty injury tottering about on glass shoes!

I think Satien generally isn't a daydreamer, or someone who has big dreams. Which also shows in his childhood dream, which circles around the wish to sustain himself. To live a life where he didn't need to hunger anymore. If he dared to dream more it would include traveling the world. But frankly, Satien is someone who doesn't dream big. He is humble.

Amusingly enough, Reah's dream as a child was to learn about the many different cultures which merchants visiting his Father's tribe shared in the evenings at a fireplace. They made the world sound so vibrant, the cultures of other lands sounded fascinating.

Flower will take the first day to read, be it his favorite books or the latest studies on healing arts but if he’s still stuck inside for a second day he’d bake a few treats or darn some clothes in between studying options for new soil additives and aetheric supplement mixtures for his plants and seedkin. He has quite a few carnivorous seedkin that followed him home (that Azure agreed to help care for) and while they’re free to come and go as they please so long as they don’t try to eat anyone or upset the ecosystem, he wants to see that they’re cared for just as much as his stationary garden.

The Fashionista: Vhaso'a still will occasionally weave things for people who need to make a statement by simply being there. It's difficult to pin him down nowadays, given that he calls himself "semi-retired", but he makes time for friends, family, or loved ones. There are a couple of people who have trained under him who he still visits and bears gifts for.

The Socialite: Vhaso'a loves a party. He loves the Gold Saucer. He adores Mahjong despite otherwise being really bad with numbers. He'll attend-- or host-- dinner parties and he'll take any excuse to dress up.

The Void Scholar: Vhaso'a's father was a thaumaturge that studied the Void intently. Vhaso'a has picked up the mantle and still does some of his own studying, though that hasn't been as prevalent as of late.

The Treasure Hunter: This is less driven by a desire for money and for something to do; Vhaso'a loves following leads left by mythological stories to see if there's any truth about old artifacts that are vaunted in myth.
