Fan the flame, make my spirit whole

I think that every night it should be pouring rain so i can listen to it and chill in bed. And that every day should be mild and sunny so i can take my daily walk. and if its not then i will be throwing a huge tantrum

reminder: 2020 has been a tough year for everyone. We have experienced many unknowns, doubts, and fears. But through it all, God has remained faithful. He is still good even if our circumstances aren’t. He still loves us with the same unconditional love. His mercies are still new every morning. So whatever 2021 may bring, remember that we are not alone. God is always with us.

Well, I still have this blog

worst part of adulthood so far is definitely the fact that people have the ability to contact me and i have to respond in a timely manner

let’s take a moment to be fully present. you holding this in the palm of your hand. feel your toes on the floor or in your shoes. give them a wiggle for me. feel your feet planted firmly on the ground. you’re where you are for a reason. feel those legs of yours? how wonderful it is that they have carried you through this life? they’ve helped you stand up when you’ve fallen. they help you run + dance with joy. cherish them. love them. move on up to the breath that fills your lungs which then moves to that beautiful belly of yours. feel it rise + fall. what a gift we hold within that is always there + can be used to calm + soothe. breathe in. breathe out. do you hear that symphonic rhythm inside your chest? can you feel it beneath your being? there’s a reminder that you’re alive, that you’re here...now. use it to love others, to empathize, to relate, to feel. all wonderful things in this journey of a life. wrap yourself tightly in a hug with those arms of yours. use those arms to extend help out to others. and that head. that lovely head of yours. eyes so bright, a smile full of life, cheeks that catch the sun. and that cute brain of yours! keep using it to learn, discover, innovate, contemplate. it might tell you things that aren’t true sometimes. how tight to what you know is rational, what you know to be true. the world is at your fingertips. breathe in. breathe out. marvel at your resilience. feel better?

I’m content with the quiet things, the soft times, and the gentle moments. I’m at peace in the rain, reading on a porch as the wind so gently blows by. I’m satiated by the way the leaves rustle, and the gentle dance of the branches. I’m contented by the little pieces of time in living.

one day you’ll wake up at 9:30am on a Sunday w the love of ur life and you’ll make some coffee and pancakes and it’ll all be alright

domestic sweetness!!!! getting groceries together, buying home decor together??? making traditions??? cooking dinner while badly singing along to the radio??? making each other breakfast in bed??? leaving notes around the house for each other??? i’m so soft,,,,

i honestly believe human beings are not meant to live like this. we are meant to live in loving communities and be around nature every day and grow our own food and create art and not work day and night until we die. this longing for another life is not human nature, it’s a symptom of modern society.
