He went for a second interview today and was given an offer on the spot. This opportunity not only pays him more, but it’s also a standard 40 hour week, and lots of very cool perks for employee & family.

Eastern Point is where I would go and watch my husband’s submarine leave & come home and I spent a lot of time at Bluff Point hiking with some of my best friends.

I can’t tell you how healing this trip was for me. Being back on the New England coastline, the breeze off the ocean… so good for the mental health. We haven’t been back since we moved almost 6 years ago. Back then, it was only the 3 of us, and Gwen was 5 months old. We had so much fun showing her around her original home state. Sad to be leaving tomorrow, back to our landlocked town with nothing to do. As much as I am ready to sleep in my own bed, I will forever miss it here.

Yeah, that’s me right now. Overstimulated as HELL. Thank god boys & girls club starts Monday. At least Gwen will have 3 days out of the house before vacation.

We’re so excited to show our daughter where we used to live, where we got married, all our favorite places, and all cool things about her daddy’s old job in the Navy. Our daughter is also excited to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift’s Watch Hill mansion.

What’s most ANNOYING about it is… we just got home from a friend’s birthday party and so many kids from Gwen’s class were there. Needless to say, Gwen was very upset. We talked about it on the way home. Her sweet self was like, “it makes me feel like they thought my party was going to be boring.”

Y’all. I ordered a bounce house, 8 pizzas and a half a sheet cake from Costco.

Do people just not RSVP anymore? Is that just not common courtesy in 2026? I’m gonna be PISSED if I invested this much money into her party and only family shows up. I’ll also be double pissed because I’m going to have one sad little girl.

When Konnor fell off the bed on Mother’s Day, we took him to get checked out. They did his vitals, weight, height… PA came in and felt his back, head, and did a cognitive look over.

We were there for 10 minutes….

We took him to the ER and he is fine. Just has a nice goose egg on his forehead but he’s acting like his normal happy boy self. I was a freaking MESS. This kid is going to age me quicker than I’d like.
