    Gwyneth crossed her arms, listening to Theil describe the graffiti found near one of the shrines scattered across The Island. Of course it looked suspicious; Gwyneth had only been back for a few weeks. She’d begged Tektus for forgiveness for her transgressions, but new graffiti wasn’t going to reflect well, whether she’d done it or not.     “I left that part of my life behind a long time ago, Theil. My loyalty lies here, with Atom and to the Family. I…have no reason to disrupt our holy sites. What could I possibly gain by repeating those mistakes? I have atoned for those sins and nothing–I mean, I wouldn’t be served by trying to…do something like that.” Don’t talk about Nothing. Don’t even say the word. She chastised herself, glancing away from the other woman, one she’d seen grow from a tiny, Atom-blessed child into a capable warrior for Atom. She hoped Theil understood she wouldn’t have come back only to jeopardize her place within The Nucleus again.

           Her brow knitted– A learned attempt at stern that never quite reaches her round eyes, each ever flickering for every cloud of thought rolling across her mind.

           Richter believed in Gwyneth. That much Theil knew, but even her respect for his opinion could never undo the caution she learned from the very same man. Atom above, how she wanted to believe the both of them. But it was her duty to keep faith even where the Grand Zealot faltered...

           But he did believe in her.

her vs richter

richter wants things simple and black and white but cant fit himself within that. id like her to initially have that, like shes been raised by him with things feeling more clear and simplistic than he has experienced [ which could be hell later or shell be smarter and come up w something more general and applicable we just dont know ]

i definitely dont want him to be like the child in their relationship - though she was a big help in him recovering from things and becoming more, shes definitely the child and was the one being nurtured and even as he gets older its not her job to take care of him

shes not forced to be more for him but shes certainly not indifferent to him

he hasnt shared many details of his previous life with her

but he did raise her to be an equal

id like their relationship to be largely healthy if odd

her vs lance

theils white or white passing. if they end up being my two most developed female characters here i def dont want lance to be more primal or less feminine. dont want theil to be innocent white woman trope in comparison so thats something to balance

her vs alex vs lance vs richter

so alex was my first developed fo character and hes social and easygoing and charming and has this easy passion [ if ditzy and raised in the most fucked up of factions ]. lance is charismatic but also has all the storyline of sir lancelot behind her and theres a great amount of tragedy in there and passion as well. richters... not passionate. hes zealous about religion but he doesnt have that love for life going on

i was thinking about theil in the shower a few days ago and come up with something about her learning independence or self-drive vs lance n alex who have something sort of innate going on... i cant remember my exact thoughts now tho lmao

when i was initially writing this i wasnt thinking about alexus so i had things between richter and lance related to her

not ask too much of  theil [ baby sit male character = no ] nor ask too little [ delicate flower compared to fem poc character = no ]

more spiritual strength than richter? an easier path of it? inherit independence

definitely less charming and brilliant than lance. mb on par intelligence w richter but less experience [ though more capable of thinking for herself at the same time ]. better socializing than richter innately ( nOT HARD )  but she kinda has a learned restraint from him lmao

*i 100% know ppl are busy and that its hard to start new stuff w new characters when ur already juggling a million old things so no pressure to like this post if its just gonna add to overwhelment lmao
