i lowkey been doing a lot of thinking recently and i think a lot of my personal problems come from what is cripplingly low self esteem and like a really fragile ego,, like i think im like good at art i graduated w honors and like basically everyone i know likes me but if one thing goes wrong im like damn im worthless AND i gotta die and its like wow takumi is a really important character to me because hes like me in so many ways, even ways that havent been identified yet. i think the most recent thing from like a few days ago even that i saw was that all his self worth comes from being the one to wield his divine bow and being good at archery and being strong and it defines his entire life because its the only thing that separates himself from his siblings and the only thing that makes him special. and then when he sees his son he sees someone who is already better at archery because hes a natural prodigy and will eventually inherit the fujin yumi and be even stronger than him and it makes him insecure but he works past it and is really good to kiragi. his self worth is defined on his achievements and his "one good trait" he thinks he has when in reality hes also someone who is loyal and intelligent and his family loves him for who he is and not because hes a good archer. it makes him very relatable for me because he has the exact same fragile ego as me but i think in a lot of ways he grows past it and recognizes when hes being defensive because of his insecurity like near the end of birthright he literally is like "damn corrin whys everything about u… jk lol lets kill garon!!!" and you know like of course his mind still jumped to "why is corrin so special" and then he caught himself and corrected himself and i think i can be that way too. or i guess this is just the way i interpret his personality haha
