Hi! I know posts have been super slow lately, but bad thing after bad thing keeps happening. This is my 3 year old cat, Ash. on Sunday we rushed her to an animal hospital as she was not feeling well. Turns out she had severe anemia, her red blood cell count was at 6%, fatal levels is 12%, cause was unknown. It was either an emergency blood transfusion or euthanasia. Of course, we went though with the transfusion. We got the call on Monday that she took the transfusion well, and they’d watch her for another day to make sure she’s stable before we bring her home, and yesterday we did infact get to bring her home! This photos of her afterward, playing with a catnip toy we got her :) We are so happy that our baby is okay and safe, and gets medicine daily now until her checkup in 2 weeks.
This costed us 4,000 USD (EDIT: around 5 grand actually 😭) . We would spend it 40 times over to make sure she’s safe, but help would be majorly appreciated to help recover financially from this and be able to keep up her checkups, food, litter, etc. I have commissions open, and it would be massively appreciated if y’all took a look, or at least if you don’t have the funds, maybe comment and repost to spread this a bit.
