Angela Davis’ Education
At the age of 15, Angela was recruited into the progressive school, Elisabeth Irwin School on full scholarship from the American Friends Service.
Studied French Literature at Bradeis University: In her junior year, she went to Paris to study at the Sorbonne. In her senior year, she studied philosophy with Marxist, Herbert Marcuse.
1965: Studied philosophy at Goede University in Germany after graduating from Brandeis.
1967: Went to University of California San Diego to study philosophy with Marcuse where she earned her masters and doctorate.
