Sims 4 Ecogeddon Patch Prep
This will be a long post. First, probably the most important thing I want to say is that next week’s Sims 4 patch, nicknamed Ecogeddon by itsug on Deaderpool’s Discord, will very likely break most mods and custom content!!!
My Support Team and I have done this kind of thing, helping players on Discord to navigate patches and other game/mod/computer/internet issues, for over three years.
We know what’s likely to be coming with this patch. Last June’s Island Living patch was The Worst Patch I have ever seen, in six years of having Sims 4 (and almost as many doing support for it). This year, my team, my server, is more prepared.
We’re aware we’ll be seeing a lot of players in a short span of time. I’m just going to straight up say that yes, I actually DO expect EVERYONE coming to our server for support to READ the Server Info channel, at the very least, of the READ FIRST! section, BEFORE posting in ANY channel.
We’ve put a lot of work into getting the channels and our fleet of server resources ready for the next patch. We’re a large server, 30,000 Verified members, more or less. However, our Support Team, while dedicated and experienced, is not enormous.
When this patch hits, everything is going to explode, and we’re going to be swarmed.
We are going to expect patience and understanding from our members who come for assistance. We are 30 or so people vs. 30,000 of you. As long as everybody stays in their own lane, we will all be fine. A whole lot of what you need to know about how to navigate our server is in that READ FIRST! Category. We always know who didn’t look it over, too.
We will be asking for GameVersions, and we will be Strongly Recommending everyone patch in Origin, then load up once vanilla (with NO MODS or CUSTOM CONTENT), and CHECK for news on updated/broken content, before adding anything custom back in.
Expansion pack patches touch a LOT of things. Last year people tried to shortcut, and there just are not going to be any. Our Library and Archive channel awaits the curious, last June’s CAS CC breakage was somewhat unique.
If you are concerned about playing your save without your CC and mods, then play on a new save for the time being.

As long as you are an Origin player, and you do not have any of the mods we WILL ban you for, you’re welcome to visit our Family Friendly server for assistance. There IS a list of mods we will ban people for having, no questions asked. It is up to you to be sure you don’t visit us while using any of those mods, as it is your responsibility to know what is in your Mods folder at all times.
We’re always happy to work with patient, reasonable people.
Pardon the expression, but our collective tolerance for bullshit is about to hit Absolute Zero. We’re simply not going to have time to argue with people, so we won’t be arguing with people.
If you’ll follow our direction, we’ll help you. If you don’t, we’ll invite you to leave. It’s that simple. We’re not going to be steamrolled like we were last year. Period.
That said, it’s almost time to lock and load, gang, this patch is going to be epic, and Deaderpool’s Discord will be open for business.
