liam

nervous feet paced back and forth in front of his door as she racked her brain with what to say. she had had well over a week of not seeing him in person to prepare, but all that had happened in that time was her nerves and anxiety of the situation grew. the only time she had actually attempted to prepare her words was on her walk over. but the second she stepped in the house, everything left her and she no longer knew what to say. in fact, she didn’t even know if she’d be able to keep her cool for long enough to get the words out. taking a deep breath, brooke stopped and faced the door. suddenly it was the most terrifying thing she had ever seen. closing her eyes, she raised her fist and quickly rapped three times against the wood, fearing that if she didn’t do it now, she never would. every inch of her body felt jittery despite the fact that she hadn’t had any sort of caffeine in several days, but the more she tried to quell it, the worse it seemed to get. shifting her weight from one snow boot clad foot to the other, brooke waited, wringing her hands, for liam to open the door. @liamtilson

It had been a long week with the campus in literal uproar not only over the snow storms it had been facing, but the drama. Thankfully, Liam stayed out of the majority of it by hiding in a room and waiting it all out. Now that he was back in his own room, he wasn’t entirely sure how to feel. In part, he was grateful for the quietness he didn’t realize he would miss; yet on the other hand, he had a lot of tidying and cleaning up to do after what happened to the Pi Tau house. His room seemed one of the less affected ones, just requiring a little time and effort to return everything in its normal place and for Liam to unpack; but he couldn’t wait to get distracted from it the moment he heard a few knocks on the door. Brooke. The worst part about this entire week was being apart from his girlfriend but at the very least the both of them stayed safe. Liam practically jogged over to the door to pull it open, greeting the blonde with an ear to eat grin. “Hi,” he laughed, having no hesitation to kiss Brooke before picking her up as he hugged her and carried her inside his room. 

“Are you kidding me?!” Liam practically stomped into the library, finding Shoshanna at a table and sliding his phone to her. The screen was bright, displaying an article from a website that had a story that twisted Liam’s stomach. “How could you --”. His outburst was quickly silenced by a hush from the librarian, but it didn’t stop Liam from angrily yelling at her in whispers. “How could you do this? I always fucking helped you and supported you and you promised you’d never write anything about your friends. About me. And now I ..I go and see this?!”.

brooke: that nicholai guy, idr know him but i have to be all hospitable or whatever

brooke: true, no one else actually matters. just us. i can't wait, i miss you

liam: love you too, babe

liam: no clue who he is but yea i get it. i hope he knows to keep his hands to himself cause you're mine

“I could agree with you, but I’d sound very biased,” he shrugged. “How’s this whole thing treating ya’? I miss my stuff. And my privacy.”

“You could be biased, I don’t mind -- not like any one’s here to judge,” Liam laughed. “Eh, it’s alright. It’s not the greatest being stuffed in here with so many people, but I’m surviving. I guess if everyone’s safe I can’t really complain. Shame about our house though.. hope our stuff isn’t totally damaged,”.

“Doing what men do best when their girlfriend, or girl-friend, tell them what’s bothering them. We can team up together. Trick Dean into the basement and lock him in the boiler room for the next few days. I won’t tell Charlie, you won’t tell Charlie, Elliot doesn’t care and none will be the wiser,” she suggested, sitting down on the edge of Charlie’s bed. “I hope so too. For your sake. Don’t say I’m not a good friend, I’m crossing my fingers for you.”

“If anything I’m pretty sure Charlie will help us if we asked, and if we planned thoroughly and left water and granola bars in there he could stay in for the rest of the semester,” Liam shrugged, as if it was no big deal to suggest locking away someone for a month or two. “Well .. wait, why? Do you .. do you think she’d be mad? I mean she has no reason to be, right?”. 

brooke: i know. and i trust you, so it's no big anyways

brooke: i mean, there's someone staying in my room too so i cant really say anything

brooke: idk probs not, but if there was nowhere else for us to go, they'd have to figure something out for everyone

brooke: same, i just like the delta psi house better. it always smells nice and not like boys

liam: good, i trust you too

liam: but out of curiosity am i allowed to know who's staying in your room?

having bumped into the boy on the way to one of the many over-occupied rooms, tammy blushed at his insinuation, quick to deny it. ❝i wasn’t looking at-❞ she paused, thinking of how to rephrase. ❝it wasn’t like that, it just, um, it’s a great robe. i have a similar one.❞

“It’s alright, I’ve been told by someone else I look great and that pink is my colour,” Liam laughed lightly. “But it is a great robe and --”. He looked down again and then at the girl and rubbed sheepishly at the back of his own neck. “..It’s not yours is it..?”.

“ trust and believe no one was looking down.” cassie replied with a roll of her eyes. she’d finally ventured out of her for a snack and instead she was met with this and god guys were so stupid and she was not high enough for this. “ why exactly are you parading around in some unfortunate girls bathrobe? ”

“Uh, for the record,” Liam held up a finger as if it could physically holt the other’s words. “I’m not parading, I happened to be walking back to my room. I’m a happily taken man and this --”. He gestured grandiosely to his torso that was scantily covered by the robe. “Is anything but unfortunate. It’s the only thing I could find to wear around here cause all my other clothes are soaked from our ‘escape from Pi Tau house’,”. 

“There are so many reasons. If I have to name them all, we’ll be here for a while–which isn’t too bad of an idea considering how crowded and noisy downstairs is. Staying in Charlie’s room? With Charlie?” she asked, and she only asked because she knew about his and Charlie’s history. Walking into the room, she shut the door behind her. “Does Brooke know?”

“One reason is really more than enough but hey, I’m not going to stop you from telling me. I’ll just be nodding along agreeing to every single one of them anyway,”. Liam stopped his unpacking just to look at Clary, confusion written in his face. “No, staying in Charlie’s room with the dean. Yea, with Charlie, what’s the big deal?”. He was beginning to see where this was going when Clary shut the door and Liam gave a roll of his eyes. “No. Not yet. But I’ll tell her, she’ll be okay with it,”. 

Molly’s tongue pushed into her cheek, an effort to thwart off laughter, as Liam explained his choice in bathrobe attire. “God, Liam, you’re a mess.” She finally squeaked, letting out a loud laugh despite her best efforts. 

“Excuse you, Molly,” Liam straightened his bathrobe like he would the jacket of a suit rather cheekily. “First of all I’m pretty sure you’re just jealous. Second, I’m still the best looking Pi Tau around in this little number,”.
