 jamesgarin:
James lay on his back, one arm thrown up to pillow his head which was currently tilted in her direction. Unlike other women, Lia looked radiant after heâd had her. Usually, he started to see the little blemishes or those irritating habits afterwards, reasons to run, but never with Lia. Perhaps the exercise brightened her eyes, or maybe it was something about how they twinkled. Whatever it was, James certainly didnât mind. He always came back. He liked to think that she wouldâve done the same, in his position.
Contrary to all appearances, James was a complete fool. He knew what Lia was and he knew that whatever coin he passed her was most likely more attractive to her than he was, but he liked to think it wasnât all about the gold. At least, not every time. As a lad, he had always been fawned over by the ladies around court - and perhaps that was merely that his future wife would have been the most powerful woman in the South, someday - but James knew he was easy on the eyes. Even that much couldnât be said of all her customers and James was taller than most, sculpted and chiseled. That much, at least, could be said for him, and when they talked it seemed to him that she quite liked him. He didnât allow himself to question that too much. There were some things even he didnât want to know for sure.
She was looking at him and reaching out with his free hand, he touched her chin. She was a ship in motion and he let her move away from him, laconically watching her movements. He smiled when he spoke. âAre you planning on missing me?â he teased, lightly. She was sitting up but he made no movement. Shaking his head, James propped himself up on one elbow. âA six month at most,â he responded lightly. His sandy hair fell against his eyes but still he smiled, cheeky to the last. âBut that only if the storms keep up.â
Heâd taken to her bed for refuge from one. Lightning ripped open the sky when they made love, thunder blackening hopes of swifter arrivals. Outside, rain had become humidity, sweeping back out to sea back towards the Southern Isles. Heâd draw on memories of that night for many to come, cold and alone on a volcanic island.
âI predict only a few weeks,â continued James. âItâs all very routine.â A hateful word, really, routine. It was tiresome even to speak of routine, as far as James was concerned, and the fact that it was a routine kind of raid made it little better. He was a pirate and, by all the gods, pirates werenât meant to be predictable. Once, heâd thought to leave that behind at Swystone Hall.
âWhat, done with me, already?â he joshed, tilting his head as she sat up. âOne whiff of routine and Iâm no longer of interest to you? Is that the way of it? If I werenât so confident in my charms, Iâd be wounded. Donât tempt me to stay away longer.â His eyes twinkled as he pulled aside the meager coverings that had tangled his legs and sat up beside her, as naked and confident as she. He imagined himself to be joking, rather than making a prediction. âYouâd miss me then,â he told her, hoping it was true.
âWeâre sailing west,â he added, momentarily growing more serious as he glanced around for his discarded clothes. Theyâd been disposed of in rather a hurry, scattered here and there. So far, heâd managed to locate only a lone boot. He made no move to put it on. âPast Vysova and up.â Quirking a brow, he turned sea-blue orbs on her. âCold waters.â She was looking at him and he ran finger through her raven tresses. âIâll miss you, at least. Say youâll miss me, too.â
She melted into his touch, her muscles tensing first beneath her brows, into her shoulders and down her back until her entirety curled over itself like a wounded animal. His skin left her aching, both for his presence and freedom from it. He bought her just like every other man, and when James returned to the inn every few months, Lia understood what to expect of her ngiht. She loathed her profession; every moment of the flirting and the fucking felt like anchors dragging from her ears. She awoke at night with stomach aches in the arms of men she did not know and rose the next morning sore with silvers thrown at her hemline. Because she had met James this very same way, she could never release him from the guilt of trafficking her body. In him, she saw a man content with buying a night and she hated that part of him. She wanted to shake it from his past and meet him on the road, both free Aragoth people with adventure in store.
James was no better than any common whorer, Lia knew this, but he was different nonetheless, because she knew he would return. Lia knew him by name, both first and last. She knew the stories behind his scars and his favorite type of brew. She recognized his twitches and threw extra sheets on him in the dark after heâd fallen asleep, because she knew he was easily chilled. He was consistent and dependable, furthermore, he was exposure to the world beyond the Swystone village. He was her fuel for a hopeful future, and so in that way, James continually broke Lia apart, reducing her to her worst while lighting the fire in her that yearned for something more. The more Lia lived as a woman capable of servicing James, however, the farther she ran from her ideal.Â
She knew all of this, and she glanced at his hand in her hair with this tragedy in her mind. Iâll miss you, he said. He would missed the warmth of her breath, the touch of her skin, the heft of her breast. James missed the bodies of a women all over the country just as Lia serviced men all over country. But the hand playing with her curls was more than just a man passing through, for even when James went north, he was never truly gone from Liaâs thoughts.Â
She reached up--her pulse still racing slightly from their games--to clutch his hand in hers. Strands of her hair wove in between their fingers. She squeezed his palm aggressively, pulling his fingers away from her head. They wrapped around each other, woven like the side of a basket. Jamesâs hands, rougher than Liaâs, sent bumps rising on her skin. âIt is not my job...â she whispered duskily, â...to miss you.â Her grasp softened around him, fingers moving softly over his callouses.
While choosing her words, she had been looking down him. His body was covered in scars, his chest molded and remolded like the shore of a beach. When crashed into, he healed. Then Lia looked down her own. Broken, yes, but not in the same way. Bruises healed and left no mark, but her bones stuck out in spots; her hips like the peaks of mountains, and the skin in-between like a shallow ocean. The hand weaving through Jamesâs fingers dropped to his thigh and then Lia tugged on her collar bone. With the other hand she took a moment to clutch a recently sore spot on her ribcage. She breathed low.Â
Lia was an obedient worker, but she could never completely dedicate herself to something she did not believe in. Lia did not do her job well. It was then that she acted on the urge to kiss his cheek, as if to say that she was doing more than her job now. âReturn to me safely,â she whispered, âand I wonât have to.â Their faces were close, and when she smiled, her breath hit his flushed cheek.Â
THERE HE WENT â (a modern au of the relationship between a pirate and his brothel whore with a plan your own adventure ending.)
No one learned her name, let alone thought to ask it. She served ale to drunkards and serviced them later in the night when they had silver left to spend. She was not a girl to miss nor was she the girl to miss others. It was so hard to remain unattached to him, however, when his presence filled her with such fire. She danced around as she listened to his stories of foreign islands and tended to the wounds from battles passed. While she was stuck, a staple of the southern port nightlife, he was like the wind, free, untamable. She wished nothing more than to know that feeling, and because she had never known anyone who lived a life as extraordinary as his, she thought of freedom and his name as one in the same. As she turned, her long black hair fell over her back. âAnd yet, there you go.â There he wentâaway. There the world wentâspinning.Â

how long: james/lia
âHow long will you be gone?â Lia lay sideways on her hip in the bed above The Twisted River. It was her bedroom, her workspace, her birthplace, and likely to be her deathbed. Lia had come into the world here, she made her living here, and someday she would likely leave the world here. For a room where she experienced so much, the aura associated with the four walled second floor was complicated. Wood floor boards still bore splits where Lia had been thrown by customers. Her most cherished belongings--the blanket she arrived to The Twisted River in and a dagger given to her by an elderly prostitute--were kept behind the dresser in a secret compartment. Lia had grown into a woman in this room, learned to love, but also to lose.Â
Mostly lose, it seemed...
She propped her head up in her palm, her arm bent beneath her at the elbow. She gazed at him. Not the kindest man she had ever known, not the richest or strongest, but certainly the most difficult to forget. Lia was dreading Jamesâs successive retreat from the Swystone and the southern border all together.Â
She wore nothing now, completely vulnerable--only ever vulnerable with James. As a woman who made her living with no armor to protect her, Lia learned to find peace with herself from a young age. She did not fear honesty or confrontation. She had no time to hide from the world, and thus she lived as Lia the Barmaid and Lia the Prostitute proudly. Making a living wage in the current state of Aragoth was difficult, especially in the south. Although her circumstances were grim, Lia never forgot the roof over her head and the meals in her stomach. She may be bruised, yes, overworked and exhausted, but Lia was living near friends (well... some). She had family (well... kind of). She was lucky. (Barely.)
She didnât even bother to cover herself, she had become so comfortable around James (or perhaps just with herself). Lia rolled over on her back, not being able to stare too long into his eyes while knowing they would soon leave her again. She ran her thin fingers through the black locks atop her head, and promptly sat up in bed. âSwystone,â what she meant was the world, âis not the same without you.â But she mustnât become clingy. Lia, although bare naked and vulnerable, lived by one command: she was not a constant. She was not a solid figure in anyoneâs life. No one learned her name, let alone thought to ask it. She served ale to drunkards and serviced them later in the night when they had silver left to spend. She was not a girl to miss nor was she the girl to miss others. It was so hard to remain unattached to James, however, when his presence filled her with such fire. She danced around as she listened to his stories of foreign islands and tended to the wounds from battles passed. While she was stuck, a staple of the lower Swystone ports, James was like the wind, free untamable. She wished nothing more than to know what that felt like, and because she had never known anyone who lived a life as extraordinary as his, Lia thought of freedom and James as one in the same.Â
She yearned for nothing more than autonomy, and thus she yearned for James. Lia turned her back to him, her long black hair falling over her back. âAnd yet, there you go.â
There he went--away. There the world went--spinning.Â

ooc: rob/lia
Ahhhhhh i feel so sorry for Lia but Rob is a hugggge part of that tbh. like between him and her mother ugh iâm so sorry :/ (but RIGHT?!?!? Kate and I are actually still working that out tbh ;DD)Â
Okay, so a little about Rob: heâs the third kid of three and his older brothers are much older than him. Theyâve also basically been the ones running the south/keeping things from completely falling apart while itâs been under Loys Mortain/Margery Mortainâs rule and since the Barret parents died a long time ago, they kinda neglected Rob a little a lot. And he grew up in their shadow and just thinks that everyone looks down on him and heâs so determined to prove himself to be better than his brothers (and yet he does love them in his own weird way??).Â
And all of Robâs âfriendshipsâ (idk if they can be called that tbh) are relationships where he feels ~superior and in control and thatâs part of the reason he keeps going back to Lia is b/c he is in control with her (heâs not gonna talk about the fact that heâs literally paying her but shhh). Also, I think sheâs the only woman heâs ever been with (although he def will tell it otherwise). I can see when he first started going to her (idk when Lia started, but I feel like Rob probably has been around pretty much the whole time tbh??) where he was idk ~softer with her and maybe they did talk about wanting a different life, but as heâs gotten older heâs gotten kinda twisted and he def has a one track mind tbh. Also, I think he has a lot of frustration and he probably takes a lot of that out on Lia (Iâm so sorry). And I think he kinda treats her like shit anymore just b/c he can.Â
But Rob is also kinda an idiot and heâs not that hard to manipulate and if she stroked his ego heâd be more bearable tbh b/c thatâs all he really wants is for people to acknowledge that heâs awesome???Â
Also! I can see Lia potentially being someone who joins the resistance at some point??? Idk maybe through Ivette or Vince??? And if so omg Rob would feel so weird about that??? anyWAY, um yeah so the family tree is HELLA complicated and I actually made a myheritage site for them and put all the characters on there (lol most of them are connected somehow haha) and if you send me your email again i can invite you!Â
Dude, Robâs character is so solid. Like heâs not a nice guy and I donât per say like him, but heâs so well rounded/written/idk...
Anyway, these two are similar in the fact that they were neglected as kids. I mean, Marsilia definitely noticed Lia, but only ever to sweep the floor or service a customer. I donât know if that really counts as being noticed or loved. Buuuuuut that could be something that these two connected with during their early days when Rob was still a little bit kind to Lia and talked to her.Â
Being that Lia has known Rob for so long and in such an intimate setting (both emotionally and sexually), I feel like she can probably push his buttons pretty well. Itâs not like sheâs a sleuth master, but after listening to dudebros bitch for so long, sheâs good at nodding her head and agreeing that theyâre the coolest brother and that their shields are super shiny. ~whining men~ This brings me to my next point: after Kate AAâs SUPER AMAZING summary post about the ordeal of the Aragothi drama, I definitely think Lia would think Ned Barret was the southâs best bet for stability... but that makes things kinda weird for she and Rob. o_o Like on one hand, sheâs Team Barret, but only if that has nothing to do with giving Rob power like yeeesh. She will testify in court that no one should give Rob power.Â

Name: Lia Carnet (or Lia Ros) Age: 26 Occupation: Barmaid and prostitute at The Twisted River Hometown: The South; the ports near Swystone Allegiance: The Southern Resistance, Ned Barret
Family: Marsilia Ros (mother); Aalis Vymont/âValeryâ (adopted sister); Miana Ros-Carnet (aunt); Kerith Carnet (father)
Biography: Lia has never been valued. From the day of her birth, she was just another mouth to feed. If that was not horrible enough, what she believes to be her story of origin is nothing but a lie concocted by the woman who born and bred her. The Ros girls were never very wealthy. Marsilia was only a year older than her sister, Miana, but expected to take care of her. Her parents were both poor sustenance fishers who crafted in their free time to make spare money; very little was spare in their household though. Â
Disfigured from a fishing accident, Marsilia and Mianaâs mother was unable to make extra money from prostitution, but as soon as the eldest daughter came of age... she was ready to offer but Marsilia as real estate. From the age of twelve, Marsilia worked in a brothel while her sister was able to make money sewing and basket weaving. (Many years later, Marsilia would come to own the brothel and convert it to an inn.) Â A bitterness festered inside Marsilia; her younger sister had no bruises, no black eyes. Men didnât look at her like a piece of meat. When Miana became betrothed to a local fisherman, the rage inside Marsilia grew even stronger. One night, she convinced Kerith to come into the brothel and pay for her sevices. The week before Kerith and Miana married, Marsilia was pregnant with her sisterâs husbandâs child.
Everyone assumed that Marsilia conceived a child with one of her clients; such a occurrence was not out of the ordinary, but the woman usually took a potion to terminate the pregnancy. This time, Marsilia made sure the child grew inside of her, and nine months later, Lia was born. Marsilia admitted to Kerith that the child was his... well, more like threatened him with Liaâs existence. She swore she would expose his infidelity if he did not take Miana and flee the south. Marsilia never wanted to see her sister again nor did she want to see her raise a family into old age and bliss. And thus Liaâs childhood began...
She believes herself to be an orphan, dropped on the doorstep of the Twisted River. However, her father is very much alive, probably living somewhere in the Imperial City with a family of his own. Meanwhile, her mother is living right under the same roof. Marsilia has complained for twenty-six years that Lia is a burden to her; she was dropped out of the sky to eat and drink and take up a bed at night. Lia was nothing but an annoyance, another problem for Marsiliaâs very busy schedule. In reality, however, Marsilia has been using Liaâs misinformed guilt to make a hard and obedient worker out of her biological daughter.
Liaâs childhood was a mostly lonely one. Despite never experiencing silence, sleeping above a tavern where someone always needed more ale, more sausage, different sheets, a mop for their friendâs vomit, she had very few friends. Lia only ever worked and slept. Nearly impoverished, Marsilia could not afford (nor did she value Lia enough) to send her daughter to a school, buy a tutor or even a book. Lia cleaned dishes from the time she was tall enough to reach the dirty bucket on the counter, she served ale as soon as she was âsmart enough to tell the difference between dark and light whiskeyâ (according to Marsilia) and she took on the family tradition of prostitution as soon as she became a woman, these respective ages being seven, ten and thirteen. Liaâs first customer was Rob Barret, and although he was only fourteen himself, unexperienced, and shy, sheâs never felt the same afterwards.Â
Growing up, Liaâs only real friends included her adopted sister Valery (an âorphanâ just like Lia) who arrived when she was eleven, and the murderer of the Alainon father who she met in the words to exchange day old food for company. Despite her dreary existence, Lia has always remained optimistic that brighter days are in her future. She may be abused and neglected, but that doesnât stop her from believing that she could become more than just a common whore someday. After all, autonomy shouldnât be such a wild wish.
Goals/Hopes for the Future: Lia wants nothing more than to live by her own accord. She wishes she could pursue a craft and make an honest living wage without selling herself. Sometimes Lia imagines running away, but with no education or skills other than pouring drinks and taking her clothes off, she doesnât imagine sheâd have a much better time elsewhere in Aragoth. The only chance she really believes she has is running off with her frequent customer, James Garin, but since he was arrested for stealing Celia Beaumontâs bracelet for Lia, she hasnât seen him. Itâs been several months, and Lia is beginning to worry that she may never see him or joy again.
Romantic Life: Lia has had plenty of sexual interaction with men, but little to no romantic interaction. Because she equates sex to interest, Lia believes men who do not buy her do not value her. This has led her to interpret that Vincent Alainon has no feelings her, although he does posses some interest in her. Furthermore, she has always had some sort of connection with James Garin, although their relationship is tainted by his habit of exchanging her for money. Honestly, Lia fully believes she will die unmarried and unloved (like Marsilia.)
Relationships: James Garin (customer/interest); Vincent Alainon (friend/interest); Ivette Bryant (friend); Rob Barret (customer); Alexandir Godiva (customer)
ooc: ivette/lia
Oh, absolutely!! Ivette knows what itâs like to feel desperate etc and she wants to help ppl in dire circumstances, so I can def see Ivette striking up a friendship with her and doing whatever she can to help Lia. Tbh thatâs probs not a whole lot at the moment besides friendship, since heâs pr much one step from living on charity, herself, rn, but even if itâs just friendship, Ivette would be happy to give it. They may also have stayed at the inn, when her ship arrived in Aragoth? So I can see Ivette having a strong attachment to the place as the first place she lived in freedom? So she might just occasionally hang out there?
Ugh, yes please lady friends!!! I can see them hanging and strolling around together through the dirty parts of the south (aka where they live) and blabbing about how everything will be better one day. Idk about Ivette, but Lia is still hella optimistic about getting ~away from everything~. Who knows, maybe theyâll even get away from everything together? If Lia was everything going to make a run for a better life, I see her asking Ivette to come along.Â

adlskfjkldjASFKLJADSLKFJKLJDSAKLFJKLDSAJFKLJkljfkldjsafkl ABBY I LOVE THIS I AM EMOTIONAL ABOUT THIS LAKSDJFKLJDSKLJFJKÂ
Ok, so Vince hasnât known much kindness in his life at all (s/o to his dad who tried to murder his infant brother just for existing), so this act of kindness would make a HUGE impression on him, even if it had been a one-time occurence, but esp with it continuing, itâs probs one of the few actual stable, on-going relationships heâs ever had. I think heâd be v loyal towards her and want to repay her, somehow, but lol he literally lives in the woods???? So pr safe to say itâs not gonna happen any time soon. (And ngl thereâs probs a pr good chance heâs got a thing for her. But Iâm sure heâs never said anything and has never bought a night with her or anything like that.)
And yes! Honestly, just company would do him worlds of good. And I love the idea of him teaching her things!!! And heâd be only too happy to do it. Not to mention, he knows the importance of self-defense (another s/o to dear olâ dad) and of survival skillz, obv hahahah Since theyâve known each other that long, she may also be the only person who knows who he really is. Do you think sheâd keep that to herself? Esp when thereâs a warrant out for his arrest and, no doubt, a substantial reward? Either way, I can def see him telling her, one day, when they were kids hahahah and yeah.
I didnât intend for this to get so Hunger Games, but yeah Lia is the chick with the bread and Vincent is boy!Katniss who needs some noms. (Thatâs a weird way to describe that series...) Anywho, I love this!!! Sadly, I think your sentiment about Lia being âone of the few actual stable, on-going relationships heâs ever hadâ will probaly work the other way around too. The people in Liaâs life atm include: her mother who killed her aunt and uncle, her adopted sister who escaped the inn, drunks, and customers who pay for her services. Itâs a fun little gang of alcoholism and murder!!! Along comes Vincent from behind a tree, though, and Liaâs got a relationship built solely on enjoying oneâs company, being helpful and friendly, and idk enjoying the sky from the forest floor. That is cute as hell in my book.
Re: buying her for a night. Tragic!!! Iâm sure a little part of Lia is also heart eyes on Vincent, but she probably thinks âwhy would he want me... Iâm just a barmaid and prostitute, my hair is always dirty, and I canât even readâ. The only way sheâs been shown affection by men is via sex for pay, so when he doesnât ask to buy her (even after her suggesting it coyly) she probably assumes he thinks sheâs gross. (JUST SPEAK YOUR FEELINGS, DUMMIES!!!)
Somehow Lia keeps running into people who are in hiding/donât know their real identities. She doesnât even know who her real mother is, Valery was actually Aalis, James has his ordeal, and Vincent is a child criminal. Yeesh! If he told her, I think she would def. keep it a secret! Sheâs dealt with plenty of dark shit, and sheâs probably seen lots of murder herself thanks to Marsilia. However, I think Lia would be able to tell that what Vincent did was an accident and out of loyalty vs. Marsilia who kills men for their pocket change and trousers for resale.Â

CLAN OF KATE AA MINIONS I LIKE THAT I intend to adopt that tbh <33333333 Also no worries whatsoever!!!! I am tooootally cool plotting this way always bc, yes, that way things are easier to hunt down and look up and yes! So this is totally awesome, too!!!
Iâm sooo down for #s 1-3!!!! Actually, now that I recall, I think Lizzy and I had said that maybe James and Valery had actually met there, I think! Hahahha
Iâm gonna divert and talk a little about Aalis Vymont vs pirate!Valery vs barmaid!Valery (also if you ever have ANY questions about ODRâŚpls never hesitate to ask, I looooove talking about ODR tbh plus weâve headcanoned this rp to the furthest possible degree so itâs gotta be hella confusing hahah) The most basic answer is this: everyone, including Valery, thinks Aalis Vymont is dead. She was dropped, anonymously, as a baby on the doorstep. They named the unknown baby Valery and raised it, unaware that she was actually an heir to the throne. Sheâs like King Arthur, being raised as just a peasant when #oops sheâs actually the late kingâs niece ;DDDD So, as far as Valery knows, sheâs just Valery. She was raised there, was a barmaid, and ran off to sea. And she has taken to sea like a fish to water the crew of the Revenge is basically just a weird, violent dysfunctional family I s2g Godfrey and Sybil are the parents and Valery is the kid and James is the squabbling uncle/adopted kid tbh smh
James is the opposite of Valery. He KNOWS exactly who he is and heâs actively trying to hide it. Ok, so Harry was 15 when he ran away and became James Garin, pirate extraordinaire. If I recall correctly, the inn is located right along a port????? So when he ran away he def couldâve made for that port? Hoping to take the first ship to anywhere. At that time, she wouldâve been 9, so I doubt he wouldâve taken any notice of her whatsoever at that time, though. But, again, if itâs by a port, the Revenge may dock there a good bit, etc, and yeah, I can def see where, once they were older, he wouldâve noticed her obv hahahah And after that she absolutely couldâve been a fav of his!!!Â
I mean, again, prostitution #facepalm but I can def see there being a genuine friendship/connection/attraction - on his end, anyway, there def would be obv - of sorts there, too. He stole a bracelet of Celia Beaumontâs for a prostitute once, btw (right off her arm smh), and I can totally see that having been her and omg he wouldâve been kinda shy giving it to her heâs such a mess. BUT ANYWAY basically yes! She absolutely couldâve been the one he stole for (and then got himself landed on the volcanic Isle of the Damned for six months - he just escaped, so he probs hasnât seen her since that night, either)
Omg yay!!!!! Iâm so excited for them! (This is all very emotional naturally, but Iâm also listening to I Dreamed a Dream at the same time and wow. Eating my feelings.) Thank you very much for the clarification about Valery!! I s2g Iâve mentioned her in like half of my comments and itâs always like disclaimer: I actually have no idea what is going on, but hereâs a complex plot that I could add!!!Â
Repeat: I. Love. This.Â
I have a feeling Marsilia started Liaâs business pretty early; the sooner Lia started working as a prostitute, the sooner Marsilia could stop. Idk if that means at nine years old, but I donât really want James to have been Liaâs first customer; that would add a whole other level of fucked up to this and I donât really want this. I feel like James (even though their relationship is still hella problematic) is kinda a light in Liaâs day when she sees him... and that leads us to the fact that she hasnât seen him for a while.Â
Lia probably feels REALLY guilty re: James, because 1). he got kicked off his pirate crew or whatever for stealing money to be with her and 2). he got exhiled to the Isle of the Damned for stealing a bracelet for her. I mean a little bit of Lia is like âholy shit this blonde hunk-a-munk is willing to get himself into some shady shit just to be with me... but then I have to live with knowing heâs not in the best of situationsâ.Â
Sidenote as Iâm thinking of it: Sheâs desperate to get away from the inn and Marsilia and her entire life, so part of her probably always wants to go with James when he leaves the port again. Lbr, sheâd probably be a cool pirate too. Sheâs got the hairporn for standing on the front of a ship in the wind and she can deal with drunk pervs. Like what else do you need??? Idk if sheâd ever expressed the possibility of her going with James, but thatâs probably been on her mind a few times. I think part of her feelings for James (to whatever degree of romantic they are) gets jumbled up along with her feelings for adventure and freedom; to her, James is the epitome of freedom. Even if that means being free on the Isle of the Damned. :|||
Anyway, yes, she probably hasnât seen him in a long time since he got taken away. Do you know how all that went down? Like does she know he got sent to the Isle of the Damned? Was she there when he was taken away? (Thatâd be hella traumatic.) Does she think heâs just dead or maybe he doesnât want to see her anymore? Either way, itâs not a cheery situation. ~evil laugh~
Ps. Iâm just now thinking of this as I read over stuff, but maybe they ran into each other when James was 15 and she was 9? And something about her was memorable enough that when James saw her away however many years later when he was paying for her, he remembered her? Maybe it was the cloth in her hair. (Am I basing this defining character trait off of a gifset... Maybe. But itâs kinda cool.)Â
Summary: Lia Carnet will always be at the port waiting for James to come back, and thatâs sad af.

Not stalking you, but if I was...
âplace: the south, in a whoreâs bed, under tables <3âł
Lia promptly raises her hands. Aalis is conveniently out on an errand. Idk where Alexandir is located atm, but Iâm sure he found his way into Marsiliaâs inn while he was in the south. Also, idk what Aalisâs status is on staying hidden or anything, but the irony of Alexandir being exhiled by Rowena to the exact place where his niece is stashed is too much. x))) Depending on who knows what, we could do something with that. Lia is significantly older than Aalis, so maybe she remembers when she was dropped off and she figured out who she was. /anyways thatâs not about Alexandir <3 Bye. Â
