It’s not really an argument per se, it’s hardly an argument if one side is just loosing their marbles at you and you just sit there and take it, unfortunately my mum just likes to use me as something to take out her frustrations with, esp because of my dad. This happens so many times, I’m more like some puppet to her or some doll to control, it feels embarrassing because I’m 19, turning 20 - that sounds like a big number and yet the way she controls me is genuinely like no other, when I tell people they’re often shocked with the level of control I literally can’t breathe without her permission, so it gets suffocating. I’ve learnt to just let her yell at me because I know if I say a word, not that I have, she would go absolutely ballistic. I suppose that’s to be expected of an ab*sive relationship, I have a bad time with communicating and arguments so I mostly shut down and disassociate. I’m super sorry to just dump that on you, please don’t worry 😭🙏, I just wanted to give a slight explanation so it can give clarity for my previous post. Hello anon ! I’m a bit confused about this message, to be honest with you, about a few things. I can’t precisely tell if you’re implying I think he’s a pedo or you’re just relaying to me what other people think. In my whole response earlier I never called him one, that was quite clear. I went clearer still about the situation in this one line I said at the very end paragraph, I’d heavily suggest you read that if you hadn’t already !
Also I know he’s a minor, I also mentioned that in my final paragraph too ! Unfortunately I’m not the law. Whatever I say right now and whatever I think about whether or not he’s guilty etc etc will not do anything to resolve the situation. I made my stance exceptionally clear in my opinion but if any clarification is needed do let me know.
Another thing, I’m a little disappointed to be honest. I put the words “HIATUS” as such <- aka in capital letters in my blog title, you can’t miss it especially if you sent an ask. Moreover, I think it was abundantly clear I had mentioned I am uncomfortable with this topic. I didn’t mention those details for silly reasons. I actually rarely get uncomfortable and rarer still do I voice these concerns to others, but this is the one time I do so, it’s just a bit disappointing that you didn’t take the time to consider this before sending me this message. I should’ve closed my inbox to be honest, or at least anon asks.
Even worse, I clearly stated I did not wish to talk about this topic further, because of said discomfort. I think it’s a teensy bit unproductive to continuously ask people these questions now since the person you’re talking about has deactivated, but what IS productive is that we take this as a learning opportunity for everyone involved ( minors AND adults ) :
minors PUT YOUR AGE IN BIO !!! No one will hate you if you’re a minor I promise, this is for your own safety. Or at least indicate you’re a minor to some capacity. Don’t pretend to be older ( the bare minimum if you wish to remain ageless ), alternatively, don’t lie about your age ( for your own safety )
Slightly related to previous point but DO NOT !!! WRITE !!! SMUT !!! AS A MINOR !!! This is so dangerous. I am NOT shaming minors who like smut WHATSOEVER !!! , I mean they are teens etc etc ( I am aroace so I won’t elaborate more than this ) but for your own safety please don’t. I have seen a minor who would write smut getting the most uncouth heinous messages from pedophiles on anon. It was genuinely horrifying to watch unfold. The internet is filled with crazy people, do not trust people online to be sane and to have the best interests of minors at heart … this is a very silly assumption. If you’ve seen the tiktok discourse regarding wren and her mother you would know lots about this. By opening the discussion to others that yes I’m a minor and yes I write smut this can go downhill super fast - faster than you would think.
Do not flirt/call people your husband or wife if your don’t know their age - worse still sending sexual innuendos. Now this one hits closer to home and this is also very important. If you’re an adult and a person doesn’t have an age indicator it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ask for their age. Do not blame minors as they are minors. You’re the adult in this situation, so you have adult responsibilities. Always ask for age, then do whatever you want ( as long as it’s legal LOL ). That being said it’s common courtesy to heed to people’s rules and warnings and it’s sort of in bad taste to not look into them before interacting.
Let’s not start a witch hunt or whatever this is supposed to be when the person of note has already deactivated - it’s pointless and will resolve nothing. I do not know if Ashe had intended to do this purposely or not ( I feel like they didn’t intend to do that and I hope ( for both his and the sake of everyone involved ) I’m correct but that notion doesn’t change the fact that it was quite inappropriate ). If you or anyone else truly cared for the minors involved, this is where you would proactively focus your efforts in. That being said sending rape threats to Ashe was the most insane way to handle a situation. Like genuinely the people who sent that esp considering he turned out to be 17 are the true pedophiles and I hope they get what they deserve.
