jaekyung is a simple girl. she solely wants to experience life while being there for those she cares about. adventurous and open minded, her ennagram type fits her well in the way that she’s spontaneous in taking up new challenges and offers tossed her way with the common phrase of “you never know if you don’t try”. this mindset is also what makes her so versatile and open to trying out things she’d usually not consider herself proficient with. it does however leave her distractible and scattered on the flip side, facing her with the challenge of actually seeing things through until the end. 

however she is nothing if not determined, which fits well to where the sorting hat placed her. with her loving and kind heart she could very well be a hufflepuff as well but her brave and daring nature makes her tip slightly towards the side of the gryffins, wearing red and gold proudly. being generally perceived a people pleaser, it’s no myth that she learned how to be rather chivalrous, enjoying to be THAT hype woman to pick someone up after a long day and make them rest their feet along with face masks and a funny movie or cliched drama to take their mind of whatever the cruel harsh world may place on their shoulders to wear them down. she strives to let her light way of living life inspire people to follow along and just relax and enjoy the bright sides for a second longer, smile a little brighter and a bit more genuinely. 

her daemon depicts those qualities perfectly as she often channels her emotional intelligence to express her loving nature with her chatty and social attitude and find the best way to cheer someone up with always looking for the right thing to say. 

fascinated eyes drift around the practice rooms as 18 year old jaekyung starts her first official day as a trainee. there is little she knows except for the joy of performing and her fascination for the city. there are eyes on her, making her shift in her skin, sneakers squeaking against the ground in an otherwise too quiet room.

while not minding standing in the spotlight, this kind of attention on her makes her antsy and itch in her skin. she’s not performing right now, she’s just good ol’ kyungchi from jeonju with a funny dialect and skin a notch darker than the rest of them. should she have made sure to wear long sleeves? should she have applied some whitening cream? 

twisting her vitamin pack anxiously she fumbles to tug it open, hoping to energize herself before the inevitable mistakes she was to stumble through during her first singing lesson. in the end she almost chokes on the dry powder, having to force it down with a large gulp of water before even more eyes turn towards her. by the end of it all, she finds herself still with no one to talk to, exhaling a tired sigh while gathering her things.

she’s considerably a bit demotivated but she expected a rocky start like this somehow. it isn’t until another water bottle is held beneath her nose that jaekyung perks up to see her coach direct a fond eye roll at her. “you’re not the first here to come from the countryside kid. don’t get too caught up in your head or you won’t be able to keep up. which would be a pity because you got a good voice.”

it’s admittedly blatantly obvious advice and directed in a rather strict manner but it has jaekyung’s eyes light up with a smile.
