“this is so cool! i can’t believe this is apart of the whole sports event. i’ve always imagined the two as separate things entirely,” he nods in awe at everything around him before glancing back at ahri, smiling brightly. it’s true, they rarely ran into one another such as in the first few months of him being a trainee in comparison to now. he misses that. but they do make plans when there’s time between schedules so it’s not as if he doesn’t see or hear from ahri, which he is thankful for what time they can squeeze in.

“i know. do you plan on continuing that commercial? i can’t believe i have one under my belt. it’s so… weird to me. i’m not exactly… commercial material, but i’ll take it,” yushin laughs shrugging his shoulders excitedly. then again, he’s also not exactly ‘host’ material either, but here he is, staring apprehensively at the players who were preparing for their turn at the game. “have you ever played league of legends before, ahri? after all, ahri is quite a popular character.” whilst not for playability, but she was still relatively known as a figure from league. 

a thoughtful hum resounds in her throat at the question, although she’s not quite thinking about her answer. because the answer is clear as crystal, and the smile that soon surfaces upon the model’s lips is genuine, grateful. “definitely going to continue that commercial. i may be a model but... it’s the only commercial contract i have at the moment.” is she a little deflated at such fact? she is, but she masks it behind her chipper atittude and a little, halfhearted punch of curled fists to her best friend’s shoulder. “you should be giving yourself more credit, though. have you seen yourself? you’re so attractive!”

Seolmi jumps a little when she hears Ahri talk to her; her attention taken over more so by the people milling around the tower, rather than the location itself. She had been there more times than she could count when she was younger, mostly trips with school, or random visits with childhood friends, but this is so different. With every stop, every game on the bus, she can’t help but feel like she’s living another life; the fact that people are excited to meet her is hard to put into words. “Ah! Ahri!” She laughs happily and nods. “Yes! I think seeing it lit up makes the whole experience more special.” 

The genuine delight in her voice spreads to her face as she stares up at the younger girl. “But you know you don’t have to be so formal with me? Unnie or Seolmi is more than welcome.” She doesn’t say it out loud but there’s something endearing about how Ahri tries to be polite, but even when she was an older trainee, Seolmi had always tried to be open and welcoming with those younger than her, wanting them to feel comfortable with her above all else. Moving closer to the model’s side, Seolmi nods happily and links their arms together. “Yes lets! It’d be a shame if we didn’t get at least one good one together!”

“i-i can call you unnie?” disbelief coats her words, and it’s obvious she’s clearly taken aback by such kind offer when a dainty hand flies up, covers cherry-colored lips. widened pupils and lifted brows complete the reaction taking over pale features in a matter of a second, blinking long black lashes once, twice. to hear something so kind from someone she’s been admiring since their first meeting surely does touch her heart, a smile not hesitating to take over the model’s lips, one she shows seolmi when her hand falls back to her side.

a birthday she has to spend alone is a first time experience. it’s not a pretty one and ahri can’t say the moment she opened her eyes, now a year older, that she’s been feeling particularly spirited. her boyfriend and roommate are both absent, somewhere in the overseas jungle fighting for their survival, while she’s wrapped up in her fluffy bathrobe when the doorbell rings. she opens the door, surprised at first, though signs when instructed and bids the man goodbye after taking the bouquet in her hold.

she doesn’t need to read the card to know who this is from. there is only one person who knows her favorite type of flower, and a smile starts to surface, slowly, on full lips regardless of her dull mood. a vase with water is obtained from the nearby shelf and the bouquet placed inside with much care, and even more adoration when she reads the note he wrote for her.

it’s not enough to wipe away the entire amount of sulkiness, but she is still grateful, still feels her heart skip and her fingers reach for her phone to text him. it doesn’t matter when he will find the time to check his messages, she thinks.

taesung’s never been a video games-kind of guy. too focused on his physical reality to care about any virtual ones, he’s never quite understood the appeal of gaming—of this rise in e-sports swiftly and surely cementing its place in competitive history.

but despite his lack of practical experience with the industry, the brunette’s brushed up enough on strategy and terminology to, at least, make it through this gig. he’s watched enough sports broadcast to get the gist of commentating—the tone, the analysis, the hype—and after hosting his own vlive show this past trimester, it’s nearly impossible to fuck this league of legends-thing up.

“i agree. though, with both teams not having nearly enough information on each other’s play styles, i will say that their ban choices are pretty interesting,” he replies, cordially nodding his head at ahri—subduing the urge to berate her for the next hour or so they’re on camera. “hmm.. i don’t think i have one? i’m not the type to commit to one lane, so it’s hard to have one, singular favorite champion when playing different roles like that all the time.” a bold-faced fucking lie. the hell, did try to get him to slip up on purpose? “what about you? who’s your favorite, if you have one?”

nothing she says serves as a deliberate purpose to embarrass him in front of the viewers. ahri, in fact, has little to no idea about taesung’s knowledge regarding the game, and she fails to notice that he may know as much about it as she does. because the way he speaks is impressive and it shows on her features -- on widened eyes and parted lips, head nodding a few times, amazed by the skill he must possess to be able to play so many lanes.

“that’s amazing!” she replies, a rather spirited hum accompanying the genuine compliment he will probably not see as one. another tiny fact ahri has never come to realize -- too simple-minded to ever think of the possibility that he may not like her. they’ve always gotten along so greatly, haven’t they?

london has been such an inspiring city. from the versatile fashion, to the architecture of the buildings - it is as if ahri has discovered a whole new world. fascinated by what she gets to experience with each country she gets to visit, even more so when her and @lgcyumi came up with the idea to shoot a lookbook in london during their little free time in between the fashion shows they’re attending. she’s dressed in a sleek, chic look, grays and black dominating her outfit, though the silver bag around her shoulder makes the look stand out, more unique.

the sentiment of excitement would be a vast understatement to describe what ahri is currently feeling. it cannot be described in words, this undeniable joy that has been coating her features, the enthusiasm for one of the biggest jobs she’s landed in her modelling career thus far. it dominates her actions, her ever present smile, the little skip in her step alongside @lgcjinseo as they make their way to the backstage part of the fashion show. luckily they both suceeded in passing the tight and competitive audition part, granting them two spots for valentino.

life feels like a dream, something too good to be true; here she is, in the middle of the fashion city ever, doe - eyes taking in all of her surroundings, the details of the architecture and the fashion people around her are sporting. it’s so different from what she’s used to back in south korea, a world so foreign that she cannot help but feel excitement surging through her every fiber, urging her to discover everything there is to find out. her first proper time overseas has been filled with different cities, different sightings, but paris? paris takes the prize when it comes to impeccable, classy flair.

the change of pace is welcomed with excitement; rather than merely shooting the commercial for the new season of tourism korea ( and being beyond honored to have her contract extended for the second time! ), they get to drive around in a tourist busses with those interested in discovering more about the capital of south korea. several stops later, the sun slowly making its way down the horizon while allowing the moon to replace it, and she finds herself in front of the n seoul tower, in the company of no other than someone ahri has come to greatly look up to ever since she had the opportunity to participate in a musical: @lgcseolmi.
