i’m so sorry this is late !! for anyone unaware, i got married on september 6th ♥️

SO. marriage is so fucking cool, y’all. we’re still long distance & my husband (!!) had to back to the uk at the v beginning of october so we haven’t been able to really Feel Married much but even just knowing he’s legally my person and he can’t just ghost me (i’m so insecure lmfao) is so stupidly comforting omg
i’ll give some details abt the wedding too: it was suuuuper tiny (both of our parents, a mutual friend who officiated, and my brother made a surprise appearance) and we did it at a park that we frequented throughout our relationship !! there was a random pair of people hanging out on the gazebo where we did it so that was. interesting
we kept it very very brief bc neither of us was particularly into the idea of a conventional wedding, we just wanted to be married already lmao. but we drafted a script for our friend to use and then signed the license and then had a picnic at the same park !! it was rlly cute tbh
we hung out w his parents for the majority of the rest of the day and when we finally left to go back to my dorm together we were so stupidly happy and kept going ‘we’re MARRIED’ and then gushing abt it
it’s not all sunshine and gay tho: we have to figure out how we’re going to Live Together and decide who’s going to move where and when. that’s been stressful and depressing, especially since we went from being Together constantly for 3 months to having almost polar opposite schedules (we deadass didn’t manage to have a conversation that lasted longer than 4 minutes for almost a whole week, it’s been Awful) which is extra shitty bc i’ve had a Bunch of stuff fall apart in the last week and a half and all i want to do is crawl into bed with my person but he’s 5,000 miles and a 6 hour time difference away
that being said: i’m so overwhelmingly glad that we got married. i think it’s one of the best decisions i’ve ever made & he keeps insisting he feels like he was born to be married (to me specifically, apparently)
