Personal opinion, but I don't think you should be logging a new split for a suspected alter that's only fronted once. I see a lot of people talking about having hundreds of supposed alters that disappeared immediately after forming, and that doesn't really make much sense to me.
There are so many other explanations that are much more likely than having an alter that somehow only fronted once: an episode of identity confusion, an episode of depersonalization, experiencing a lot of co-consciousness or co-fronting at once that made you feel like you had a mix of different alters' traits, etc.
DID is a dissociative disorder, you're going to have episodes in which you feel disconnected from yourself or you feel like your sense of self is shifting. That doesn't necessarily mean you've split a new alter. It's far more likely that you're simply dissociating.
I'm not trying to say that it's literally impossible or something, just that other explanations are more likely. Your system tracking is probably going to be more accurate if you wait for a suspected new alter to front more than once before you set up a whole new profile or something.
