dynamics wise, flambae is very close and loving with all his sisters in their own unique ways. he’s especially protective of fariba, and has been incredibly supportive of her self-discovery journey. they were each other’s first person to come out to :”) they were old enough at the time of living with their biological father to remember everything he’s done and they’ve bonded over that shared trauma. atifa is the fun sister, and it’s prone to get VERY loud and chaotic when she gets together with zahir. she lives in seattle with her wife, so they only ever meet up for parties and holidays. they’re like two peas in a pod. adhara is the one physically closest to zahir, and naturally bridged the gap between him and her daughter. zahir feels terrible for not being there for her at her hardest (pregnancy + birth + mishal’s first couple years) due to being in so much trouble with the law. he’s trying to make up for it by being the best uncle in the universe, even if his skin crawls over all the mecha man paraphenalia in her bedroom. he's also very close with his parents, even if they don't get to see each other as often as before. they've retired to san francisco and are very content 🙂‍↕️ they don't blame zahir for the unsavory things he's done and understand his upbringing was complicated and far from the best.
