btw it's so fucking stupid you can be anxious physically in your body even after you've decided mentally you don't care. I'm supposed to be in charge here

the dumbest person alive has come to warn you that fruit has sugar in it
Human relationships are not transactional but they are reciprocal, which I think many of you with your ‘i don’t owe anyone anything’ shtick are too happy to forget
Transactional: everything has to be exactly 50/50 all the time, pay me back for the £5 sandwich or buy me something worth exactly £5, I refuse to make an effort for you if there’s nothing in it for me
Reciprocal: you were there for me when I needed help, and I’m going to do the same for you, it doesn’t matter if one of us needs more or is capable of less, because the point is not equivalent exchange but mutual care
They semi-cancelled Timothee Chalamet for simply saying he found opera and ballet boring, by the way.
How does Hollywood work these days?
Being a bit of a naive, foolish young man and (wrongfully) calling opera and ballet irrelevant?
“You must apologise immediately! No Oscar for you.”
Acknowledging you stole terrified teenage girls from their bedrooms?
“Eh, you get a pass.”
Kidnapping teenage girls seems kind of worse than being stupid and uncultured, in the grand scheme of things.
”Well, Tim is dating a Kardashian sister.”
Embarrassing as it is, this other man admitted to war crimes.
#clarke griffin eye appreciation!!!

I'm convinced that at least 50% of white vegans are only vegan to feel morally superior because why did I just see someone say that teaching a pet tricks is the same thing as slavery
I genuinely thought this was satire
also I don't think parents "these days" are uniquely terrible, I just think neglect is showing up in new ways as technology progresses. today's ipad kid would've been wandering around in a ditch alone all day and night before. parents not wanting to have to deal with children is not a new phenomenon.
Just so y’all know: I can’t speak for every other fic author but I can say that I remember when people leave me kind comments. I recognize your urls and/or usernames on AO3. I remember you and sometimes in writing my fics I think to myself, “Oh, I hope this person sees this because they liked x in this other fic I did.”
Not only that—I go back and reread comments when I’m feeling low. I look at tags and reblogs and asks and wish I could hold them in my hand like a note from a friend on an old, torn piece of notebook paper.
Your comments have so much more impact than you know. So thanks to those who use the comment section to spread love and encouragement. We appreciate you.

Im thinking of Clarke with shaky hands (she fucking hates that she shakes now. A healer and an artist needs steady hands and clarke no longer has them) doing Lexa’s braid. A memory of a sick toddler crying and twins always hungry that had Lexa sitting on the bed half dressed with a baby on her breast, trying to console the other while Elaina coughed her little head off on the bed. And Clarke braiding her hair into a big braid to keep it away from her face, a small gesture that in the middle of the chaos meant support.
Now Clarke still does it. No more crying babies. They live in the cabin now, despite Aden keeping a room always ready for them at the towers. At night, with only a few candles on, Lexa tries to read outloud, harder for her now, her vision never great now definitely going fully bad. All while Clarke braids and unbraids her with her shaky hands to try and get it right
Elaina has suggested time and time again her moms move in with her and her wife. She knows who her moms were but they are no longer warriors and leaders of legend. Clarke's leg and her constant tremors make it harder for her to walk about with a cup in her hand and Lexa will search for things that are in front of her for minutes on end, and then be startled when someone enters the room and moves next to her because she didn't hear them.
But Lexa and Clarke cannot accept it and outright refuse to disrupt their daughter or their sons and their partners lives. They have kids they have to look after too.
At the end of the day tho, they enjoy that its just them two again. Old and frail of body but never frail of spirit.
The kids visit at least once a week and they see their grandkids a lot (2 little night bloods. One is Elaina's, another Luka's. Odrick has twins because it runs in the family) but they enjoy the silent days a lot. They garden together in silence. With her vision and hearing going, Clarke picks bright colors Lexa can see better and always tells her when the birds she loves listening to are singing so she can tey and hear.
And then Lexa helps Clarke back inside to sit at the table before moving to make supper, now without Clarke's help, although she does give Clarke some thing to cut or mince that doesnt take too much work, asking her if something looks good still when she cant tell woth her poor eye sight.
Its a quiet existence. But for two women who once feared they'd never have a someday of quietness and peace, its everything they ever wanted
