How to Make Yourself Do What You Donât Want To Do
1. Rather than listening to the voice in your head that is screaming âI hate this; I donât want to do thisâ think about why it is a GOOD thing to do.
2. Instead of trying to pretend that you donât feel this way, accept that you are feeling very blah and negative.
3. Donât think about results and how well you think youâll do, as this could raise your feelings of anxiety and fear, just think about âright nowâ and the first thing you can do.
4. Accept that life is tough, and is full of things that suck â but recognise that doing hard stuff is better in the end. Youâll likely have more choices and freedom, if you do.
5. Just do a little bit for now â then give yourself a proper break â then go back and do some more â and soon youâll find youâre in the flow.
6. Donât allow your mind to wander and think of other things. Stay focused for that short time â and then stop, and have fun.

1. You canât change what happened as yesterday is gone - but you can make some choices so the future turns out better.

3. See it as a life lesson, and something you can learn from. Good can come from your regrets if youâll let them change your ways.
4. See yourself as a new person ⌠As a person you believe in âŚ. As someone you are proud of, and as someone who you like.
5. Practise self-compassion and give yourself a break. You still deserve to be loved ⌠it doesnât matter what youâve done.

How to Deal with Failure in Life
Remind yourself that:
1. This is not the end. You are going to survive. Thereâs no point in pretending that life is always great. Sometimes we trip and fall, or we make terrible mistakes. Allow yourself to heal, then get up and start again. Take one or two small steps, and know youâre going to survive!
2. Everybody makes mistakes along the way. Youâre only a failure if you give up and donât try. Accept that you are human, and then move on with your life.
3. Positive thinking leads to positive results. If you think you can succeed then thereâs a good chance that you will. The mind is very powerful; we create what we believe.
4. Success is closer than you think when you are down. Mistakes can be our teachers; they donât mean that all is lost. Youâre likely one step closer to getting what you want.
5. You are not your mistakes. Donât fall into the trap of defining who you are by different things youâve done â or by your failures and mistakes.
6. There are very few mistakes which are truly devastating. Mistakes are merely setbacks. You can always start again.
7. A failure is sometimes a blessing in disguise. Not getting what you want can sometimes be a stroke of luck. It makes you reconsider, and try some different things. And these can often lead to better opportunities.
8. You have the power to determine your own happiness. â You can hold onto the heartaches and the failures of the past â or choose to let them go and fix your eyes on whatâs ahead. Itâs up to you to choose what will become your destiny.

1. Let go of the past
2. Do stuff (instead of just thinking or talking about it)
3. Donât let other people bother you
4. Make the effort to stay in touch (especially with those who mean a lot to you)

7. Decide not to take things personally
8. Think about how you want to be remembered
9. Give without expecting something in return
10. Choose to be silly, to have fun, and to laugh
11. Value your friends, and always treat them well
12. Recognize that everything eventually ends, and loss is an integral part of life.
