I was going through some old files on a memory card from the 2010s, and I found a music folder filled with the songs I used to listen to sixteen years ago. Then I came across this one.

I remember crying the first time I heard it. I don't really know why, maybe it was because the music felt so beautiful, dreamy, and melancholic all at once. 😔☁️

This song also reminds me of a friend. I shared it with her, and she ended up loving it too. We used to be workmates, and we often worked long hours until it was already evening by the time we clocked out. We would listen to this song on the bus ride home, and somehow, it made all the tiredness melt away. 😌

Sadly, that friend is gone now. 😞 She was like an older sister to me. I actually stopped listening to this song for years because it reminded me of her, and it always made my eyes well up with tears. 😢

Now I'm listening to it again.

I still remember her, and I always will. But I also find comfort in believing she's in a happy place now. 🕊️🤍

I don’t know what dangers lie ahead of me, but I know God is always before me, keeping me safe and protecting me from the things I cannot see. 🤍

I remember crying so much because of this song. 😢 When the live version was released ten or eleven years ago, that time I was reading a book whose story matched the lyrics so well. And whenever I read a book, I completely immerse myself in it and it always affects me deeply. It’s like my soul leaves me and slips into the story itself.

Then hearing this song somehow doubled the pain I was feeling, even though I wasn’t personally sad. Am I really that sensitive that even a book or a song can hurt me this much? 🥲😞

Anyway, this song has always carried such an emotional feeling for me. Even long after finishing that book, I still get teary-eyed whenever I hear it. Maybe it’s because we all go through difficult moments in life, and somehow we end up tying our experiences to certain songs. And for me, this song about hope became one of them.

Thank You, Jesus, for protecting me each day, from both the big and the small things that could harm me. I feel Your divine presence and protection over me always. In moments of danger, You are there. Even in uncomfortable situations, You defend me. Your presence surrounds and protects me.

this was my hype song during my late teen years, and I still really love it 'til this day. 😊 I always do little head bops whenever I listen to it, hehe. 😄 You know that feeling when a song gets you so hyped that you just unconsciously bop your head, like you’re being completely engulfed by the music? 🙂‍↕️

there are a lot of things I want to do in my free time, like working on my hobbies, learning something new, going out (both for leisure and errands), decluttering my room (although I don’t have that many things), doing chores, going for a walk… and the list goes on... but sometimes, I really just want to sleep whenever I can, especially because I get terrible headaches when I lack sleep.

I really love my hobbies, though, and right now I’m torn between these three:

1. continuing the anime I’ve been watching. (it’s a really good anime, and I honestly want to binge all the available episodes, but I only watch when I have free time, and somehow, whenever I do, there’s always something else I end up doing instead. 😅)

2. reading a book. (my TBR list is quite long, to be honest 😆📚 but there are two books I really want to read, but procrastination just keeps winning, hehe.)

3. working on a new puzzle. (I love jigsaw puzzles! I just finished Starry Night, and I already want to start a new one. I have two waiting to be assembled, and I’m excited to work on them, even if they’re a bit challenging. 🧩)

I can actually do the first two on the go, like I can watch an anime episode or read while commuting or during breaks at work. The third one, though, I can only really do at home.
