Broken Rulesđ
Alpha Bucky Barnes/Yelena Bolova x Omega reader you
Pairing: Alpha Bucky Barnes x Alpha Yelena Bolova x omega reader you
Warning: 18+, Alpha beta omega dynamics, swearing, minor injury, spankingđ lemme know if I forgot anything.
Summary: You break the rules and they find out
A/n: YaâllâŚ. I canât believe I wrote thisđđâŚ.
Oh you were finished. Absolutely undeniably screwed. You might as well start packing now. Ok maybe that was being dramatic but still you were in deep shit.
You sighed looking at the steaming hole in the plush carpet. Blaster still hot to the touch on the table beside you. Damn you and your bored curiosity.
One day. Bucky and Yelena had been gone one day and youâd already broken two of their biggest rules.
Rule #1 Never put yourself in danger under any circumstances.
Rule #2 No touching any of the weapons around the tower.
Yup you were screwed. You whined feeling the burning sensation on your hand intensify.
The skin a fiery red from the blast but not as bad as It could have been you supposed. You could take care of it easily but the sizzling hole in the middle of the living room was going to be a bit more challenging. You weighed your options. You could cover the hole up somehow and make up some excuse as to how you hurt yourself that didnât incriminate you⌠although your two hydra trained Alphas could spot a lie a mile awayâŚ
You really didnât have much a-
*BZZT BZZT*
You gasped seeing the familiar name pop up on your comm watch.
Shit shit shit⌠ok act naturalâŚ.
*click*
âH-hello?â
âWhat happened?â Buckyâs voice cut through the device like a knife despite the gunshots ringing in the background.
âW-what?â You heard a grunt and something thud onto the ground then he spoke again, stern but that underlying concern ever present.
âI said what happened.â More grunts and gunshots but Bucky didnât seem phased.
âBucky I donât know what your-â
âDonât lie baby girl we felt your distress through the bond, are you hurt- ah shit, Bucky we have 30 seconds before it explodes-â Yelena tsked.
âOn itâ
âNow answer the question, are you hurt? What happened?â
âAre you guys by a bomb!?â You shrieked suddenly panicked.
âDonât change the subject!â Bucky yelled from further away.
âYou heard him little one answer the question. now.â Her voice was stern and even through the phone it sent a shiver down your spine.
âI-I Iâm fine! Are you guys fine!?â
âPlease, weâre basically yawning over here- no Bucky cut the red one not the blue one-â
âGot it, itâs disabled.â You cried a sigh of relief. The beeping ceased and you heard a shuffle by the phone. Buckyâs voice cutting back in.
âDoll?â
âY-yeah?â
âYou gonna tell us whatâs going on like a good girl or do we have to come home now and handle it ourselvesâ his voice was soft but you could hear the underlying threat clear as day.
âI um⌠I just hurt myself a bit, itâs nothing big really..â you cringed at how unconvincing you sounded.
âWhat? How?â Yelena sounded more worried now.
You sighed knowing you couldnât lie to them because theyâd find out the truth anyway like they always did.
âI-I burned my hand, but itâs really not that bad! I already put some cream on it and-â
âHow did you burn it? The stove? God I knew that new model was shit- lemme call the doctor-â
âNo I donât need a doctor! I already treated it, it was just a little grazeâŚâ
âŚ.
âGraze?â You sucked in a breath.
âY-yeahâŚâ
You heard a frustrated sigh
âBabyâ
âY-yeah?â
âWere you playing with our weapons again?â
ââŚ.yesâ
âWeâre on our wayâ
âHuh? B-but the missio-â

CrapâŚ
*************************************************
The wait was excruciating. You sat on the couch leg tapping the floor a mile a minute. The familiar ding of the elevator had your heart leaping from your chest.
The doors slid open revealing your two Alphas. Both were covered in dirt and blood-barely any of their own of course- and both looked equally tired. As soon as they saw you they marched over quickly.
Yelena pulled you up so you were standing before scanning your entire body for injures. Bucky was already at your side pulling your hand up.
He frowned tilting it side to side, Yelena looked as well, growing more upset by the second. Concern quickly gave way to anger.
âWhat the hell were you thinking?â
âI-Iâ
âAnd this isnât even properly treatedâ
âI put the- ah Bucky?!â
You hardly could get a word in before you were lifted up and brought into the bathroom and placed on the counter.
Yelena followed soon after with a med kit.
Before your could protest she was pulling your long sleeve shirt off leaving you in your underthings and jeans.
âYelena itâs just my han-â
She shushed you with a single look.
You felt like a worm under a microscope as they both treated your wound like it was a gunshot to the chest.
They worked quickly and although you could feel the steam rolling of of them, they were as gentle as possible. Once they finished they stepped back and motioned for you to go sit in the living room.
You avoided their gaze choosing a very interesting spot on the rug. The weight of their stares piercing through you like knives.
You didnât dare speak in the tense atmosphere as they both stood in front of you.
âNow tell us exactly what happenedâ
Your breath hitched at his tone.
âW-well um-â
âAnd donât dare lie omegaâ Yelena sat on the coffee table knees almost touching yours. You longed to feel her and Bucky but knew this was definitely not the moment to be whining for their affection.
After taking a shaky deep breath you continued, âI was um bored and wanted to look at the new shock blaster- I didnât mean to press anything..Honestly I was just lookingâ
âDo you have any idea how ridiculously stupid that was? You could have seriously hurt yourself or worse!â You flinched at his harsh tone.
âWhat were you even thinking? you know youâre not allowed to touch our weapons.â Yelenas voice was quieter than Buckyâs but no less angry.
âI-Iâm sorry I wasnât thinking..â
âNo you werenâtâ Bucky huffed crossing his arms.
âIâm sorryâŚâ
âHow can we trust you alone again if you canât even follow our simple rules?â
âI wonât do it again I promiseâŚâ
You felt the tears well up against your wishes. All you wanted to do these past few days was have them hold you in your arms and now that they were back they were furious with you. You felt your omega shrink back in shame for disobeying your alphas.
Despite the anger the two felt they couldnât help but soften a bit seeing your tears.
âWeâll finish discussing this after we get cleaned up and changed. Be on the bed when weâre done.â
You nod still riddled with guilt as they both stood and disappeared down the hall into your shared bedroom.
The hour was late so while they were showering you changed into your night slip. Maybe the revealing skin would soften whatever punishment they had planned.
You sighed looking at the bandage that stuck out like a sore thumb.
The door clicked and a rush of steam flowed out, Your alphas now clean from the missions dirt and grime. Yelena in her silky robe and Bucky in just his pajama bottoms made your heart skip a beat.
How long had it been since they touched you? Way too long.
Yelena was the first to speak, âso you can listen when you want to.â
You bit your lip not sure what to say.
She took slow and careful steps to you like a predator stalking its prey.
âStand upâ you quickly scrambled off and stood in front just a few feet away from her. She gave Bucky a look to which he immediately sat on the bed legs spread.
âTake it off, all of itâ you nodddd and shakily let the straps of your gown fall leaving a puddle of silk on the floor. You knew better than to disobey at a time like this so you quickly made work of your panties too.
As soon as you were bare Bucky pulled your arm making you yelp and stumble splayed out across his lap. You already knew what was going to happen.
Your fingers dug into the silk sheets awaiting the inevitable.
Cold hard metal slid up your thighs sending shivers through your body. You wished he was using his other hand so you could feel some semblance of comfort but it seemed this was all part of the punishment.
Smack
Quick but sharp the sting spread quickly.
âCountâ Yelena crossed her arms leaning against the wall, her eyes on you like a hawk.
âO-one..â
Smack
âT-two..â
Smack
âTh-threeâŚâ
Bucky was relentless, his slaps firm and barely leaving room for relief.
âCanât believe you did that, what the hell were you thinking?â Bucky practically growled from behind.
âI-Iâm s-s-sorry ah-! F-fourâ you bit your lip as more tears fell down. The wind sharply blowing from the a.c, Buckyâs lack of touch, Yelenaâs glare, by the 10 smack you were overwhelmed and shaking. Your scent was already distressed since they arrived- that was expected but there was a shift that made Bucky pause and Yelena falter in her stance.
You didnât realize when it had become so hard to breathe through the sobs and shaking but now it felt like you couldnât get any air in.
âY/n?â
You world was quickly shifted and your gaze was no longer blurred sheets but a frowning Bucky.
In your distressed state you thought you only made him angrier so apologies were flooding out of your mouth only they were barely intelligible.
Bucky was anything but angry, concern washed over him when he realized your state and he was quick to pull you up to his chest, cradling you in his arms. He held your cheek with his real hand hoping the warmth would calm you. Yelena crossed the room quickly and kneeled in front gently caressing your hair.
âHey hey itâs ok, itâs over shhh everythingâs ok, weâre not mad ok? We were just worried, shh breathe doll breathe.â He continued to hold you close gently kissing your head and whispering reassurances softly.
âBaby weâre sorry we didnât realize it was too much, please donât cry anymore, cmon back to us love we promise weâre not mad ok? Itâs all forgotten, just come back to usâŚâ Yelena felt horrible for not picking up on your emotions much sooner. Itâs true you had your safeword but they should have paid much more attention.
She stood up and sat beside Bucky, you still cradled in his lap. Bucky lifted one arm so she could also be near you and calm you down.
Their warmth and scents eventually helped your breathing to slow down and sobs turned into sniffles. You winced when the pain in your hand finally registered that you had been gripping it so hard.
Bucky motioned something to Yelena which she understood and swiftly pulled you into her lap, Bucky stood up disappearing into the bathroom for a sec and came out with a glass of water and some pills.
âHere doll, for the painâ. He held the pill to your lips and gently pushed before lifting the glass and helping you drink as well.
You whispered a thank you then snuggled back into Yelenas warmth.
âYou alright baby?â You nodded to Bucky.
âIâm sorry we didnât realize soonerâŚâ Yelena kissed your cheek apologetically sounding disappointed in herself.
âI-Itâs not your fault itâs mine, I-I should have used my s-safeword but I couldnât really think and then-â
âStop, itâs our jobs to protect you and care for you. We should have paid more attention. Weâre so sorry.â
Yelena nodded in agreement, âWe should have noticed, weâre to blame not you.â She buried her head in your shoulder feeling the guilt of the world.
âPlease donât be upset⌠can we just forget it all and cuddle and sleep please?â
Bucky sighed with a tired smirk and nodded while Yelena was already moving the two of you under the covers.
âWait we gotta put the salve firstâ Bucky reminded and Yelena pulled the covers off. You frowned at the loss of heat.
âAwe come on canât you do it in the morning?â
âNoâ
âNoâ
You huffed but laid still anyway as they spread the cream over your sore bottom.
As soon as they finished you were pulling them closer encasing you entirely. Bucky behind and Yelena in front. She gently pushed a strand out of your face before leaning closer and kissing you softly.
âGoodnight darlingâŚâ
Bucky lowered his head to kiss you as well then you watched biting your lip as the two kissed over you.
A rush of heat flooded your body and you couldnât help but speak out, âa-actually itâs a little early to sleep donât you think?â
Their laugh broke the kiss but soon their predatory gazes were locked onto you. Smiles diminishing into smirks that had your heart pounding in anticipation.
âOh? What did you have in mind baby?â

A Love that Burns
Marcus Acacius x f!reader
A/n: You donât understand the chokehold this man has on me ughhhhh. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy, I wrote this very fast!
Pairing: Marcus Acacius x wife character (I usually do x reader but I really like the name Aurelia so I used that!)
Warnings: fluff, angst, arranged marriage, Curse words, mention of fire, minor injuries, burns. A bit of suicidal ideation. Allusion to smut hehe. 18+ to be safe please. No minors!!
Summary: General Marcus Acaciusâs new bride is troublesome, he doesnât seem to mind though. After an incident occurs she pulls away from him and he canât figure out why.
****************************************************
âHeâs going to be furiousâŚâ
âSuch a shameâŚdo you think heâll throw her out?â
âHe might⌠we always knew she was trouble but this time sheâs gone too farâŚâ
âPoor dear, I doubt even her father will take her backâŚâ
The roaring flames had long since died down, leaving now only crackling embers and dark clouds of smoke. How much time had passed you didnât know. You hadnât moved from the ground, knees planted on the hard stone, eyes glued to the scene before you.
What was once a grand structure, beautifully carved and molded for someone equally as impressive was now nothing more than a pile on the ground and it was completely your fault.
How had wanting to get a book out of your husbandâs study and lighting a candle to see had gone so wrong?
You shouldâve listened to your conscious, it told you that you shouldnât go into your husbands private building but you knew he had an extensive selection and while you were newly married, barely even a few months he was your husband and you didnât really think he would mind.
In the short time you were married the general had been accommodating and civil, more than civil actually, he had been doing his best to make you feel comfortable. That being said you did barely see him at times due to his duties and when you did it seemed all you did was cause him trouble.
Like that time you accidentally visited the animals one early morning when you were bored and didnât shut the door behind you. Acacius had been abruptly woken up by the clucking of chickens ascending the staircase and running around the halls like it was a party. You had been redder than a pomegranate when you realized your mistake.
Or that time you lost your wedding necklace and spent hours wading in the lake where the laundry was washed thinking it fell there. Youâd never forget the feeling when Acacius strode through the gates in tow with fellow commanders for a meeting but everyone froze seeing the comical sight of you, a highborn lady dress pulled up and soaking wet. That time made you want to drown yourself right then and there.
Oh and how could you forget the time you wanted to show your appreciation by baking his favorite dessert according to the maids and thought adding some cinnamon youâd bought in town was a good idea. Not even bothering to wonder why the kitchens didnât have cinnamon in the first place⌠turns out the reason was a good one, the general had an allergy.
This time it was his face that was redder than yours⌠you didnât face him for days after that..
There were so many moments like that but somehow each time he didnât get angry like you expected. He didnât yell or scold you.
When you bit your fingers nervously watching the servants try to catch the chickens he slowly walked out, surveyed the scene in what you could guess was mild disbelief and perhaps a bit of amusement, looked at you then turned back to go back to sleep.
When you were soaked in the lake he quickly regained the menâs attention, led them inside then a few minutes later reappeared with some haste. You didnât get a chance to protest when he stepped in and pulled you out by your arm. Still he didnât yell, he did start to scold a bit though because you were shivering, but when you suddenly yelped and squirmed reaching in your dress and pulled revealing a flopping fish with your necklace around it he lost all his words. You celebrated while he just started in disbelief.
And when you literally poisoned him you sobbed beside him as the healer frantically gave him several mixtures and an injection of some sort. You apologized over and over like a parrot. When he could finally breathe again, he closed his eyes exhausted but said, âDonât cry, it tasted great..â
All those times he was so kind, unlike any other man youâd met before. To think you had been so afraid of the arranged marriage and now all you could think was how he deserved someone so much better.
He was older and saw you as a child you were sure of it. You wished you could act like the other wives, but you just couldnât.
Your eyes glazed watched the flickers before you as if in a trance.
Youâd burned his favorite place in the villa. A building constructed years ago that served as his study, his place of comfort, his safe space. Heâd showed it to you when you first got married. Youâd been amazed at how beautiful it was on the inside.
You could see on his face how this place made him relaxed compared to the rest of the villa.
And now it was gone..
The whispers of the servants were muffled around you but you caught them all the same.
You couldnât find the strength to move, maybe you should have at least moved back, away from the falling ash and debris but you couldnât.
You ruined everything, just like alwaysâŚ
There was some more muffling amongst the crackling, some sounds you didnât register, couldnât register⌠then a sharp yell. A tone you didnât recognize.
âWhy is she-!â
There was pressure on your shoulders but still you couldnât look away.
All gone⌠all your faultâŚ
You think you heard something loud but couldnât understand it.
The pressure increased⌠so did the shouting but still you couldnât look away.
It wasnât until you saw the burnt pile get smaller that you realized you were being pulled- no carried away.
You felt so disoriented, everything in your vision jerking and you realized whoever was moving you was running.
The scene was still in view but further away, your eyes not daring to look away. You did however register that you abruptly stopped moving and were sat on something upright. The pressure returned to your head then arms then body.
Yelling, someone was yelling in your ear but it wasnât until the pressure reached your face and you were forced to look away from the scene.
Eyes, wide and frantic, searched yours. Lips opened and shouted something you still could not understand. But the face you knew all too well. The one you wronged, the one you did a horrible misdeed to. Acacius.
You inhaled loudly, more of a gasp then coughed. Suddenly you felt everything crash into you at once, from when you were numb a moment ago now you burned in pain, lungs on fire, skin itchy and stinging, eyes feeling like the sun itself were upon them. You coughed and sputtered uncontrollably, breathing a foreign concept to you.
His strong hands at your back and arm. Almost cradling you was a strong contrast to his shouts that you could now hear louder than ever.
âBreathe, easy, easy- Dammit why did no one move her! Call the healer now!â He barked behind him.
Angry he was angry. Of course he was, even gentle and kind men like him had limits, limits that youâd crossed by battlefields.
Hot tears came, still you coughed, you wondered how long you could continue like that before losing consciousness, there were already spots in your vision. The sobbing now made it worse.
âShh shh breathe itâs alright, just breathe for me wife, all is well, shh look Iâm here, youâre safeâ he pulled you into his lap holding you firmly in the hopes youâd calm down. He kept whispering to you, pleading and eventually the coughing stopped. You wondered how much more smoke it wouldâve taken to kill youâŚ
âThatâs it, youâre safe, shh just breathe, Iâm hereâ more tears emerged as you registered his words for the first time. How horrible you felt to have this angel of a man cradling you and comforting you when you just burned down his sanctuary.
It would have been easier on your heart had he yelled and thrown you aside.
âThe healer is here!â Someone called out, your eyes were closed on his chest but you heard everything around you.
Swiftly you were lifted in his arms and carried to his chambers. The healer immediately got to work peeling back the fabric you only now noticed was dark as ash and singed in many places. Acacius stood behind her as close as he could without getting in her way. You watched as his eyes scanned your form, concern etched as he took in all the burns and scrapes. Your heart couldnât handle it, he deserved a woman 100times better than you. You shut your eyes of the heartache ignoring the healer telling you to stay awake, moments later you were unconscious.
**************************************************
Stinging pain roused you, you wanted to cry out because your body was screaming at you. You were alone in the room, but by the moonlight shining through and how exausted you felt you didnât think you had been unconscious long. Fresh tears escaped and you didnât bother to wipe them.
You sat up in raw agony realizing just how many injures you sustained. Your skin was covered in loose bandages and shiny from salve. Sitting so close at the time you didnât feel anything but clearly you were affected.
Shouting from below had your head whipping to the window.
With great effort and pain you stood on shaky legs and approached the opening peeking your head outside, you squinted and saw figured in the yard.
You choked out a sob when you realized what was happening. Acacius was yelling⌠yelling at the servants and guards for not moving you. Yes they put out most of the fire but didnât bother with you. You hardly blamed them, you were a burden, an embarrassment of a lady to the great house hold. Perhaps they wanted you to die, actually it would have been easier if you did.
You couldnât bare to listen to it anymore, guilt eating you alive. For some reason you had to see it again. To confirm what you had doneâŚ
You ignored all the pain and like a ghost descended the staircase.
When you reached the bottom you sucked in a breathe before walking forward where the smell of smoke was still heavy and thick.
And there it was, like a brand on your heart the scene of your crime. There were no more embers, just wood and ash. You walked closer until you stepped on something.
You moved your sandal revealing a silver medal covered in soot. You remembered how proudly it hung on one of the walls. And now it was beneath rubble and dirt.
Two hands found your mouth as you let out a cry.
âHeavens What have I done?â The strangled voice sounded stranger to you.
âWhat have I done, what have I doneâ you whispered achingly.
âAurelia!â
You choked again hearing his voice, you couldnât bring your self to look just yet.
âAurelia what are you doing!? Why are you up!?â He rounded you hands finding your shoulders.
Acacius waited for your answer but you had none, only fresh tears. He barely hesitated before reaching down and scooping you up.
âI can walk-â you tried to say but it was unintelligible through your tears, you didnât want to burden this man ever again, not for anything.
He glanced at you for a moment but continued his quick pace to the bedroom. He laid you gently on the bed, his concern growing at the endless tears.
âAre you in pain? Let me call the healer back-â he was already halfway out again.
âNo-! no Iâm fine Iâm fine donât call Iâm fine!â You cried out but tried to collect yourself to not worry him more. The truth is your body was on fire but you would never burden this man again.
He hesitated but listened and approached you again, âThen what is it? Are you afraid? Everythingâs alright now, your safeâ.
You bit your lip to keep in the cry. How could he be so kind?
âAurelia? Tell me please, what is it?â He kneeled beside you a helpless expression on his face.
âI-I Iâm so- im so sorry, Iâm sorry- I donât know how- I was in there for a b-book and lit some candles I donât even know how it h-happened I-I-â
Your breathing was becoming erratic again but once you started apologizing you couldnât stop
âIâm so s-sorry Acacius Iâm so sorryâ you buried your face in your hands.
âAurelia shh itâs alright, donât cry, itâs nothing that canât be replaced, donât apologize, you need to breathe alright?â
You barely heard him, but you needed him to know how sorry you were, even if you didnât deserve forgiveness.
âIâm so sorry, Iâm sorryâ you continued.
âAurelia-â
âIâm s-sorryâ
âAurelia stop youâll hurt yourself more!â He kneeled on the bed pulling you closer to him, worried that if you didnât calm down you would go into another coughing fit.
âShh itâs alright, Iâm not angry, all that matters is youâre safe. Please calm down, can you breathe slowly for me? Look, follow my breatheâŚâ
âThatâs it, breathe in and out just like that, good girlâŚâ he held you close and you felt your eyes begin to droop, exhaustion taking its toll. He sighed when your last words were a whispered apology.
***************************************************
The next day you were miserable, the burns although mostly shallow still caused great pain. Mentally you were a wreck, replaying the events over and over.
The healer told you you needed to rest for several days so thatâs what Acacius made sure you did. He visited often but you couldnât bring yourself to speak hardly a thing out of shame. Most times you just pretended you were asleep.
A week passed and you were allowed to get up as normal just to take it easy. Acacius had gone out for some business luckily because you didnât think you had the strength to face him.
As you descended the stairs you tried to ignore the whispers of the servants. They all thought the same thing you were repeating in your mind.
Burden
Shameful
Useless
You sighed shakily nearing the now cleaned land where the structure once stood. His kindness made you feel horrible. You wish he would yell and scream at you, for you deserved all the bad words
You spent the day aimlessly wandering and thinking until you tired yourself out and retired to your chambers.
A jar of salve was left by your bed from the healer for the pain but you didnât open it. You deserved every single sting and ache.
The next day you hardly felt like getting up so you didnât. Food was brought, you didnât bother eating it, instead you gave it to the birds outside the window.
In your solitude you came to a resolve. You would resist every urge, every inkling of your old reckless self. Acacius deserved someone who was 100 times the woman you were but since you were bound all you could do was at least not give him any more trouble. Another week passed, Acacius had been gone for some military business and it was easier that way.
It had been a whole nother week when Acacius finally arrived back to the villa. He dismounted his horse with a sigh. He did not want to be gone so long but he could hardly deny the emperors requests.
Tiredly he walked through the gates, scanning for signs of you. It was unusual to not see you flitting about.
A servant approached and helped him remove his cape.
âThe Lady, how is she?â
The servant frowned a bit, âMy Lady has been⌠resting these past weeks. Weâve not seen much of her.â
He frowned at that. Her wounds were not so terrible to have her bedridden so long. So what was wrong with his wife?
He nodded to the servant and made way directly to her chambers.
He knocked on the door listening for her voice.
âCome inâ you called expecting a servant with food.
You were sat on the bench by the window staring out.
âMy Lady..â he said almost hesitant.
Your head whipped to the side, eyes widened seeing your husband.
âA-Acacius⌠I didnât know you were backâŚâ
He walked inside and shut the door behind him.
âAre you well? The servants tell me you havenât left the room much..â he stepped closer taking you in. Your sunken face, the way your eyes werenât lit up with that sparkle he loved.
âIâm alright, thank you..â he frowned, not quite satisfied with the answer.
âYour wounds are healed?â
You nodded quickly.
He nodded then cleared his throat in the awkward silence that followed, âThen why havenât you been out?â
You thought of what to say for a moment, âI⌠no reason, just resting I supposeâ
Another answer that didnât satisfy him but he decided not to pry. If you didnât want to speak he wouldnât make you uncomfortable.
âWell Iâll be in my chambers should you need anythingâŚâ
âThank you..â and with that he left shutting the door behind him. You bit your lip forcing the tears not to come. How dare you cry when heâs the one who should be upset. Get it together.
Several more days pass and Acacius was growing frustrated. You barely left the room, choosing to take your meals inside even when he was home. He only caught glimpses of you here or there on the occasional walk around the garden but even that was becoming rare. Where was his wife who was always flitting around singing something off tune or getting into trouble. He recalled the time he awoke to clucking outside his door, and the time he found you skirts tied comically splashing in the lake, then of course when you so happily baked for him flour marks on your face. He smiled fondly at the memories, then frowned.
Why had you suddenly changed so much? Had he done something? He knew the fire shook you up but perhaps he said something unintentional? Did you overhear him yelling at the staff and resented him for it? He was going mad.
It took another few days before his patience finally ran out and he all but burst into your room.
âA-Acacius?! What-â you startled dropping the book in your hands.
âTell me what it isâ he demanded a bit out of breathe.
âW-what?â
âTell me whatâs wrong or what Iâve done to upset you into seclusionâ
âAcacius youâve done nothing wrong I swearâŚâ
âThen what is it? Why have you been avoiding me? What has upset you so much that youâve locked yourself away?â
You didnât expect this, so you really didnât know what to say.
âI⌠I think itâs better this wayâŚâ
His eyebrows furrowed a bit trying to make sense of what you just said. âI donât understand, whatâs better?â
You fiddled with your hands and had a hard time making eye contact so you chose a lovely spot on the floor instead.
âItâs better that I donâtâŚ. cause problems..â heavens was that a lot harder to say out loud than you thought.
This definitely took him aback.
âWhat?â
Oh no was he upset now? He surely looked it.. maybe you should have explained better.
âI-I mean⌠Iâm always causing you trouble and getting into situations that I shouldnât⌠I figured it would be better if I spent more time hereâŚ.â
He was quiet for a while, his face undeniably confused and upset.
âAnd you decided this all on your own?â He said in a tone that you were a bit nervous about. Calm but hidden anger.
âI-I⌠yes..â
âSo your plan is to live out the rest of your days between these four walls?â He couldnât hold back a scoff. His annoyance seeping through his usually calm demeanor with you.
ââŚ.Itâs better-â
He clicked his tongue in annoyance âBetter? Better for who exactly?â
âAcacius all I do is cause you trouble! Iâve been embarrassing you since we wed, the entire household thinks Iâm a burden and theyâre right, I cannot-I will not burden you anymore especially after-âŚâ you couldnât bring yourself to mention the fire. With a shakey breath you gathered yourself and continued.
âI just donât want to upset you anymoreâŚâ you confessed.
The silence was deafening, your heart squeezing so much you were afraid it was going to burst.
âYou know out of everything thatâs happened between us I think this is the only time Iâve been truly upset.â
You eyed him swallowing dryly taking in his clenched jaw and crossed arms.
âAcaciusâŚâ
âYou donât get to decide this all on your own, and you especially donât get to decide how I feel.â
ââŚâ
âHave I ever been cross with you? Made you feel as if youâve shamed me?â
âWell no but-â
âThen why?â In two strides he was upon you looking down.
âWhy did you suddenly decide that I would like it more if you hid yourself away?â
âBecause if Iâm here not causing you problems then wouldnât it be easier for youâŚ?â You wrung your hands together, anxiety heightening with every moment.
âFuck thatâ
You jumped a bit startled that those words came out of his mouth.
âW-what?â
âCause me problemsâ
âAcacius-â
âBreak things, scream shout, bring the whole villa down if you wish it but you will not lock yourself up like a prisoner. Youâre my wife, Iâd like to actually have you around.â
âYou⌠youâre just saying that because youâre too kind Acacius⌠but my heart canât take it anymore. I did something so awful and I know you must be upsetâŚâ
âIs this about the fire then?â
ââŚâ
âThings can be replaced, nothing that burned cannot be bought again or rebuilt.â
âB-but you loved that place. It was your sanctuaryâ
âI did love it, but itâs gone now and I hardly think about it, itâll be rebuilt soon enough not that it really matters. What matters is that youâre safe and sound.â
âHow can you be so kind? So patient so-so perfectâ he scoffed at the last one in mild amusement.
âAcacius itâs true! Iâve never met someone so gentle and sweetâ
âGentle and sweet..Iâll be sure to add that to my title right after general or Romeâ
âYou joke but itâs the truthâŚâ you look down at your sandals.
He sighed before lifting your chin up with his warm fingers then caressing your face, wiping away your tears with his thumb.
âTell me something wife, have you seen me act that way with anyone else?â
âWellâŚâ you thought about it. He was civil with everyone.. stern a lot, with servants and his men and well everyone elseâŚ
âAnd why do you think that is hm?â
âWell⌠I assume itâs because you see me more as a childâŚâ
âA child.â He repeated.
You nodded.
âAurelia you are never allowed to assume anything ever againâ
âWhat?â
âYou truly think thatâs how I see you? That I treat you kindly because I pity you?â
âWellâŚthen why?â You asked genuinely confused.
âWhy treat my wife with care? Why worry for her? Why speak gentle words? Why shower her with gifts? Tell me Aurelia why does a man do those things for a woman?â
âI⌠I assumed-um well I believed that you were just..â
âJust what? Doing that out of duty? Is it so impossible to imagine that I love my wife and want her to be happy?â
ââŚ.â Your eyes widened larger than the sun. You hardly believed the words. So you asked him in a whisper.
âW-what did you s-say?â
Instead of answering he leaned forward closing the distance with a soft kiss.
âDoes that answer your question?â He breathed in the few inches between your lips.
You shook your head no and leaned in. You felt the smirk against his lips. After several moments you pulled back to regard him.
âI never imagined youâd feel the same wayâŚI still donât think I believe itâŚâ
âLike I said, youâre forbidden to assume things from now on wifeâ
âI⌠Iâm sorryâŚâ his hands settled at your waist, his smell flooding your senses.
âMake it up to meâŚâ
You felt the heat rise in your cheeks but didnât want to disappoint. You wrapped your arms around him pulling him into a deeper kiss full of emotion.
âNever allow such thoughts in your mind again, and youâre wrong, youâre not a burden. Yes Iâll admit you have a habit of getting into unique situations but I donât mind, in fact I look forward to what surprises await me each day.â
âDo you really mean it? Even if I do awful thingsâŚ? â
âYes I mean it.. although I will draw the line at one thing, never do anything to put yourself in danger. When I saw you by the flames I-â he paused sucking in a breathe.
And that moment you heart finally caught up with your head because no man could fake the emotions on his face like that.
You hugged him whispering an apology into his shoulder.
âYouâve apologized enough for a lifetime, come, dine with me, youâve lost weightâŚâ you nod letting him pull you by the hand out the door.
You heard some voices and frowned, anxiety creeping up again.
Ever the perfect man he caught on immediately.
âWhat is it?â
âThe servants⌠itâs been hard to be around them⌠you might accept me for who I am but they havenâtâŚâ
âI wouldnât worry about itâ
You cocked your head a bit at his amused tone, âwhy?â
âBecause I fired them allâ.
âAcacius!â
âDonât protest, itâs done. I blame myself for not realizing what heartless people resided in my home. Besides I think youâll like the new staff a lot better..â
You descended the staircase still confused why he seemed so smug until you heard voices you hadnât heard in months.
âMy Lady!â
âMy Lady weâre here!â
âOh how weâve missed you!â
You couldnât contain the loud gasp when your eyes landed on the familiar faces below. The staff that practically raised you was beaming up at you with joy.
âOh my- Marika! Cicero! Diana! Felix! Ahh youâre all here!â You practically jumped from the staircase onto the group of your favorite people in the world.
Acacius couldnât help but chuckle as the group enveloped you pulling you in, hugging and kissing you. Hardly the kind of servants he was used to but now he understood why you were so saddened to leave them behind. After your embraces you pulled back.
âWhat are you doing here? Is Father here?â
âYou mean you donât know?â The words would have worried you had everyone not been smiling ear to ear.
âKnow what?â The general has employed us all here.
âW-what?!â You snapped your head to your grinning husband.
âB-but how did you- father mustâve been- h-how!?â
He laughed and descended the last couple steps, âI can be very persuasive if I need to be dear wife.â
âOh- oh I donât believe this!â you couldnât contain your joy and parted from the group to jump on your husband who stumbled a bit but caught you of course. You kissed him then and there not caring who was watching- well in fact you didnât care because everyone in the room were people you loved and felt safe with.
He was a bit surprised but when you pulled back his face was quickly morphed into fondness and satisfaction that the gleam in your eye was back.
âThere she is..â you sighed happily hugging him once more then ran back to the awaiting group.
Well actually you made it halfway before pausing, turning around with an unsure look, and walking slowly back to him.
He tilted his head curious, âAcacius⌠will you⌠will you allow me to properly thank you⌠tonight? If thatâs- if thatâs something youâd like⌠or-â your face that lovely shade of red heâd come to admire.
âSomething Iâd like?â He scoffed and for a moment you were afraid until you saw the expression in his eyes.
âWell I didnât want to assume⌠youâve forbidden it remember.â He smirked leaning down by your ear so only you could hear him.
âListen well wife. This is the only exception you may always assume...â You shivered feeling his breathe caress your ear.
Gentle and sweet and now you had a new word to add, although you couldnât quite find the right one just yet. But oh were you ever so eager to find outâŚ

It was like a dream, weird swirling colors, buzzing noises, nothing really making sense but somehow you knew what was going on. You were passing onâŚgoing back to the great mother. Your finger had long left your neck. The silence afterwards sealing your fate. He didnât hear you.. he wouldnât comeâŚ
The swirling colors increased until your vision was completely obscured. Who knew dying would look so.. so beautifulâŚ
You didnât feel any pain anymore, just a calm numb feeling⌠it wouldnât be long now⌠your eyes fluttered closed, the colors morphing into swirling darkness.
You accepted your fate, welcomed it even just a bit. Your only desire was to let go.
Something was making noise making you flinch a bit as the peace was disturbed.
The noise didnât stop, something.. no someone was yelling something⌠a pressure on your face and body, something pressing into your delicate skin.
You tried to push it away, wanting to be at peace again but felt something holding your hands down,
Stop- mvâ- pleaseâ- help someon-!
A voice in the distance muffled but somehow familiar..
Suddenly the numbness was gone and firey hot pain tugged you back to reality. Your eyes shot open but you couldnât see anything, only blurs of color.
You cried out loudly trying to move away whatever was pressing on your wound making it hurt more.
âI know I know Iâm sorry! Just hold on, I need to keep pressure, Iâm sorry!â You couldnât believe your ears.
âN-neteyam?â You sobbed out.
âShh donât talk, just stay still-why didnât you say anything before!?â
That made you hurt worse than the wound,
âI-Iâm s-sorry, please d-donât be madâ you choked out more sobs.
âIâm- Iâm not mad please donât talk, just hold still pleaseâ.
You silently cried as he tried his best to apply pressure.
You squeezed shut your eyes trying to shut out the pain.
âI need to get you to grandmotherâ
You felt Neteyam move your hands and he instructed you to hold down, then quickly he gathered you up into his arms.
How ironic you thought, for months all you wanted was for him to embrace you like this.
You kept your eyes closed but from the air zipping past you you could tell Neteyam was running as fast as he could.
You could feel yourself weakening again, having no strength left your head rested on his chest.
His heartbeat is so fastâŚ
âDonât fall asleep, stay awake please, weâre almost there!â
You hummed trying your best to keep your eyes open.
âGrandmother help! Kiri! Sheâs been shot-please!â
Moat had never heard Neteyam so frantic since he was a child. She quickly urged him over to a bed on the ground and wasted no time inspecting the wound.
âNeteyam hold her up I need to see her backâ.
Neteyam muttered an apology when you groaned in protest.
âNo exit.. the bullets still inside, we need to get it out quickly, sheâs lost too much blood. Neteyam you need to hold her still, this will hurt..â
Neteyam as instructed moved behind you holding you tightly down.
âBe strong childâŚâ you braced yourself but nothing could have prepared you for the pain.
You immediately screamed and thrashed but Neteyam held you down,
âShh mawey mawey, itâll be over soon, mawey mateâ Neteyam spoke into your ear, heart feeling like it was being ripped apart by each and every scream.
âHold her down!â
Neteyam nodded and held you even tighter, âshh itâs alright, everything will be alright, Iâm sorryâ
âThere it is done..â
Neteyam let out a breathe of relief, âitâs over, breathe mate breathe..â
âWill she be ok?â You felt the arms around you loosen and guiding you back to lay down. Although the hand on your shoulder stayed..
Moat nodded, âthe bullet is out but she has lost a lot of blood. She will be weak for awhile but I believe she will be fine. I will watch her closely, donât worry child..â
âHere give her this to drinkâ Moat handed her grandson a wooden cup filled with a mushy green liquid.
You were almost asleep when you felt your head being lifted up, âDrink y/n, itâll help with the pain..â
This time when your eyes opened they were able to focus on the furrowed brows of your mate. His glowing eyes focused on the cup at your lips. You choked a bit and he held you up a bit higher. A warm finger swiped at the liquid that dribbled down your lips.
Maybe you were deadâŚ
Neteyam realized you were looking at him although words seemed to fail the both of you at the moment. With a clearing of his throat he settled you back down. You felt something cold and soothing being applied to your wound and soon you were lulled into sleep.
***************************************************
Neteyam watched as your breathing changed. He let out a sigh and leaned back. Hands running over his head.
âNeteyam!â The tent flap opened revealing his parents.
âWhat happened?!â Jake crouched next to his son eyes scanning over you before landing back on neteyam.
âShe was shotâŚâ Neteyams voice was tired and full of emotion.
Neytiri gasped and kneeled down on the other side and held your hand. âWill she be ok?â
âShe should recover. We had to remove the bullet but it didnât hit anything vitalâ Moat spoke up.
âThank the motherâŚâ
After some silence Jake eyed his son who looked like heâd shot her himself by his demeanor.
âYou ok?â Jake placed a hand on his shoulder.
Neteyam glanced up, âIâm fine, why wouldnât I be?â
âSheâll be ok, sheâs tough ya know.â
Neteyam stayed quiet, the one thought haunting him. Why did she hide it?
His mother ever so observant asked him, âwhat is it Neteyam?â
His eyes flitted up to her, then his father then back to you, guilt flooding his features.
âShe didnât tell me..â
âDidnât tell you what?â Jake furrowed his brow.
âThat she was hurtâŚâ
Jake and Neytiris eyes widened, silently his mother got up and came to his other side pulling him in.
***************************************************
When you awoke the next morning you were in a lot of pain but not nearly anything compared to before.
Your mouth was incredibly dry so you tried to sit up to find some water.
You winced at the burning sensation.
âStop you shouldnât move yet!â Your eyes widened and whipped to the side finding Neteyam kneeling beside you quickly supporting your back and guiding you back down.
You tried to speak then quickly remembered the reason you wanted to get up in the first place.
âHereâ he poured you some water into a cup and to your surprise instead of handing it to you he held it up to your lips in one hand and lifted your head with the other.
After you were done he set it back down. âHow do you feel?â
âIâm alright..â
Silence
How you wished you could disappear this very momentâŚ
âI umâŚI-IâŚâ you hated how the tears were starting to come back so fast but you couldnât help it. You wanted to apologize for so many things.
Neteyam looked a bit puzzled.
âA-are you in pain? Iâll call grandmotherâ he rose up quickly but you stopped him.
âNo I-Iâm fineâŚâ
âThen whatâs wrongâŚ?â He kneeled back down a bit confused.
âI-I wanted to say Iâm so sorry for everything⌠I know what I did was⌠Iâm so so s-sorryâ
Neteyam blinked, clearly taken aback by your words. His eyes softened, and for a moment, you thought you saw a flicker of something â maybe forgiveness, maybe confusion â but you couldnât be sure. The sincerity in your voice, the rawness of your apology, seemed to cut through the room like a sharp breath.
âWhat are you talking about?â he asked gently, his tone almost lost in the stillness of the room. He reached out and placed a hand on your shoulder, his touch warm and reassuring, even though the weight of your apology hung in the air between you.
âI⌠I shouldâve told you⌠what I was feeling. What I was going through,â you whispered, your voice trembling. You felt exposed, vulnerable, like the walls youâd carefully built up around yourself were crumbling to dust. âI shouldâve said something, Neteyam. But I kept it inside. I kept hiding it, pretending like it wasnât happening⌠like it didnât matter. And then, when everything went wrong, I⌠I thought it would be easier if I justâŚâ
His fingers tightened slightly on your shoulder, urging you to stop, his gaze intense. âNo. Donât say that.â His voice was firm, but soft â the tone of someone who had lived enough to know that guilt could eat you alive if you let it. âY/N, listen to me. You donât have to apologize for any of it. Not to me. Not to anyone.â
âBut I hurt you, Neteyam. Iâ" Your breath hitched again, the knot in your chest tightening.
He shook his head, a soft sigh escaping him. âYou didnât hurt me,â he said, his voice low, almost like he was reassuring himself as much as you. âI didnât know what you were going through either. You werenât the only one keeping things in. But I⌠I shouldâve noticed sooner. I shouldâve been there for you, in the way you needed me to be.â
The weight of his words â the unspoken responsibility he was placing on himself â made you want to shrink. But at the same time, it gave you a strange comfort, like a weight lifting from your chest, even if just a little.
He looked at you, his eyes full of concern. âDonât carry this burden alone. Not anymore. You donât have to.â
You couldnât answer right away, the rush of emotions swirling within you. But before you could speak, he leaned in a little closer, his hand still gently cradling your shoulder.
âIâm not angry with you, Y/N,â he said, his voice barely above a whisper, but somehow so steady. âIâm just⌠Iâm scared.â His words sent a pang through your heart. âYou scared me. I almost lost you.â
Tears welled up in your eyes again, but this time, they werenât just for the things you hadnât said. They were for everything â the fear, the love, the closeness you hadnât realized youâd been missing.
âIâm sorry,â you whispered again, your voice breaking.
He shook his head once more. âNo, no more apologies. Youâre here now. Thatâs all that matters.â
You blinked at him, confused, a small sob escaping you. âBut⌠Neteyam, Iâm not strong like you. Iâm not like everyone else. I canât handle everything, and I donât know how to continue on like this.. I just⌠I just want to be okay⌠for us to be ok..â
He didnât answer right away. Instead, he reached forward, his thumb gently brushing the tears from your cheek, a small smile forming on his lips. âYou donât have to be strong all the time, Y/N. You donât have to handle everything alone.â His voice softened, growing tender. âIâm here. From now on Iâll be hereâ.
Your heart fluttered in your chest, and a strange calmness began to settle over you, as if his words, his touch, were healing something deep inside you.
âI shouldâve told you sooner,â you murmured, the weight of the unspoken finally coming to the surface. You could feel his breath close to yours as he leaned in, his forehead resting against yours. The warmth between you was all-consuming.
âYouâre not alone anymore,â he repeated, almost like a vow.
You closed your eyes, letting the feeling of his presence, his promise, wash over you. And for the first time in a long while, the gnawing fear, the doubt â the suffocating loneliness â began to fade, replaced by something far gentler: a sense of belonging.
Later that evening, after the storm of emotions had subsided, Neteyam stayed by your side, even as his parents left to give you both some time to recover. The fire in the center of the hut flickered softly, casting a warm glow over the room. The gentle hum of the jungle outside felt distant, almost like a memory.
You could hear Neteyamâs breath, steady and rhythmic as he sat by your side, watching over you. You couldnât remember the last time youâd felt this safe, this cared for.
âI didnât know what to do when I found you,â he murmured quietly after some time, his hand still resting gently against yours. âYou were slipping away⌠I thought⌠I thought I might lose you.â
You could feel the weight of his words settle into the space between you, and you wanted so badly to reach out, to reassure him. But it was hard to find the words. What could you say?
You squeezed his hand, and when you looked up at him, you saw the raw vulnerability in his eyes. The emotion in his gaze was so pure, so sincere, that it made your heart ache.
âIâm here, Neteyam. Iâm not going anywhere.â Your voice was soft, but strong, the conviction in it clearer than ever before.
He stared at you for a long moment, as if measuring the sincerity in your words. And then, as if you had finally said the one thing he needed to hear, his lips curled into the smallest of smiles.
âGood,â he whispered. âBecause I.. I want things to change.. I want us to be better. Iâm sorry Iâve let things go on the way they have been for so long.. and I know things wonât change overnight but I promise to do better.. to be better because I do care for youâŚâ
You smiled truly for the first in months and did something youâve wanted to do for so long. You leaned forward and kissed him softly. A silent promise that youâd do your best too.
So sorry for the long wait! Lifeâs been chaotic but Iâm back! Hope you enjoyed:)

Night on the town
Mandalorian x reader
Pairing: Din Djarin Mandalorian x reader
Warning: mentions of alcohol and some 18+ themes. No minors please!
Summary: Reader doesnât listen to Mandos warnings about staying on the ship, then wakes up with something new and a bit troublingâŚ
****************************************************
âDonât leave the shipâ those four words had been echoing in your head all week.
For months youâd never really minded following your Mandalorians orders, most planets he landed on for bounties were backwater scugholes whose inhabitants were low level creeps and criminals. You were perfectly fine staying within the safe compounds of the ship normallyâŚbut this planet was different.
Ceralis 3 was known for its bustling city full of high quality clothing stalls, the tastiest food establishments, musical performances, and oh how you couldnât stop thinking about the renowned city square thatâs lit up like starlight when the suns go down and everyone gathers to dance. Youâd seen so many brochures advertising Ceralis 3 as a top vacation spot. And now you were finally here⌠stuck on a ship.
âMust be nice..â you mumble head resting flat on your arms watching the suns set from behind the glass of the ships viewport. The twinkling lights in the distant mocking you as if to say âhere we are shining so bright and youâre stuck in a dark smelly cockpitâ.
Ok so maybe thatâs an exaggeration.. but still you were minutes away from going crazy with boredom.
âDonât leave the shipâ he said from the bottom of the ramp like he always does before leaving for a bounty.
Bounty hunting usually doesnât take a week though⌠ugh
You lean up on your arms watching the twinkling lights of the city getting brighter. What was everyone doing now? Drinking? Dancing? Having 1000x more fun than you were right now??
You glance at the small data pad that Din gave you. When he was finished with a bounty he usually sent a quick message through.
You checked it again for the millionth time.
No new messagesâŚ
What if you just went for a quick look⌠no
No you couldnât do that, din would be angry if he found out.
If he found outâŚ
IfâŚ
You check the data pad again. Every time he sent a message it usually took him a decent amount of time to get back to the ship, heâd usually stop for supplies and whatnot.
So you had time even if he messaged you while you were outâŚ
But could you break his trust so easily-
*pop pop pop*
Bright strands of fiery light shot up from the skyline in the shapes of flowers.
Well he didnât need to know everythingâŚ
You sprung up practically jumping down the ladder to your small closet.
You smirked pulling out the one nice âout for a night on the town outfitâ you owned. A stark contrast to the usual travel outfits you donned.
You applied some light makeup, grabbed your satchel and were off the ship in record time.
You took note of the pathway, and kept the data pad close to your hip in case that all to familiar beep sounded and you needed to rush back..
You gasped nearing a well lit archway taller than anything youâd seen before.
Giddy with excitement you ran in and were immediately overtaken by a rush of⌠well everything.
The streets were lit bright with lanterns, full of laughing and singing people.
The smells were making your mouth water wondering what on earth could smell so heavenly, and the buildings.. oh the absolutely breathtaking carvings. You didnât know what to do first!
So you did the first thing that you saw, you ate from several stalls, bought a bunch of jewelry and souvenirs that you absolutely didnât need, watched a few performances, drank some juice being served on a tray that you didnât realize had alcohol⌠and then made your way to the famous square.
Oh and what a sight it was⌠like someone had the most dazzling dream and brought it to life. Everyone was jumping and dancing to live musicians. You wondered briefly if your Mandalorian could dance. Probably not.. but maybe if you really asked nicely he would.. or if you just dragged him..
You wished he was here.. you usually werenât separated that long so itâs been a little lonely.
You sighed watching the couples dance and hold each other warmly. Some kissing some just gazing into each others eyesâŚ
Ok more than a little lonely..
Maybe you should head back..
You sipped on your juice walking back in the direction of the ship.
What lovely juice, so sweet and spicy at the same time..
Mmm juicy juice so lovely
Hmm you peeked at a stall in passing, maybe you should get him something? Yeah thatâs right, he wouldnât be mad at you for leaving if you got him a gift!
Maybe youâd get some more juice while you shopped and then maybeââ-
************************************************
Ugh why is my head pounding so badâŚ
You wince sitting up in the cot holding your head with a hand.
You blink slowly regaining your senses, the previous nights memories ending in a blur. You didnât even remember coming back to the shipâŚ
Ugh you were so stupid, the âjuiceâ was alcohol and youâd had so many of them..
You panicked a bit not seeing your satchel on the hook but then calmed seeing it on the floor.
With a sigh you reached in pulling out the data pad and pressing the button.
*new message*
Oh kriff..
*Heading back. Shouldnât take more than half a day.*
Half a day⌠wait when did he send that!?
The sky was so bright outside how long had you been asleep?? You looked down seeing you were still dressed up from last night.
I better change before he gets-
You stumble a bit feeling your leg let out a painful throb.
Oh no was I stupid and injured myself last night?
Quickly you pull up your clothing expecting a bruise or a cut or something but instead what awaited you was infinitely worse.
âOh maker what have I doneâŚâ
You vaguely remember wanting to get something for Din but why on earth did your drunken state think that was a good idea!?!?
Kriff what did I do!?!?
You wobble quickly to the mirror to get a better look at the new addition to your outer thigh.
An abstract outline of your mandalorians helmet with his name cursively written under it.
Oh now you remembered.. bits and pieces as you stumbled into a tattoo stall and scribbled on a paper demanding it be the bestest bestie best tattoo ever, you even remember the guy asking if you wanted to wait until you were sober but then you cried until he did it.
Kill me nowâŚ
Ugh Why why why!? How was I going to explain this to Din!?
As if the universe was punishing you even more you heard a familiar beeping and gasped feeling the vibrations of the ships ramp moving.
Of kriffing course he would arrive now!
You quickly pull your clothing down and try to look as nonchalant as you can watching as Din walks up the ramp into the hull.
His bounty blocked your view of him but he was fighting and throwing some curses but Din is quick to throw him in the carbonite freezer.
You gulp as he finally turns around to regard you.
âWelcome back..â you tried to sound like your normal self. Key word being tried.
Din stood still for a moment then his helmet slowly shifted from your face down to your body then up again.
Oh yeah my outfit and makeupâŚ
âYou lookâŚniceâ he said a bit confused.
Maybe you could spin thisâŚ
âOh well I um wanted to um surprise you⌠I really missed you Din..â
You hoped your nervousness would be taken as you just being embarrassed to dress up for him.
He tilted his helmet a bit, his stance relaxing ever so slightly and he took a couple steps in your direction.
âYeah?â
Oh how easy men could be sometimesâŚ
âYeahâ you smiled stepping forward too and wrapping your arms around him. âYou were gone a while this time..â
He pulled back a bit to see you but his strong arms were still held firm around you.
âYeah the bounty was more work than I originally anticipated, sorry you had to be alone so long.â
âItâs alright..youâre back now thatâs all that mattersâŚâ you smile up into his visor knowing his eyes are deeply peering into yours just as lovingly.
His hands slide a bit and he grips you a bit tighter âif I knew you were gonna dress up just for me, I wouldâve forgotten all about the bounty and rushed here..â
âMm Iâll have to remember that for next timeâŚâ you lean up tilting your head to the side to kiss the bare skin just under his helmet. He breathes in, deep and crackley through the modulator.
Your hands reach up about to lift his helmet off when suddenly his head moves to the side.
âDin?â You frown a bit following his gaze then when you do your eyes widen a bit at what you see.
A beautifully beaded tote bag overflowing with items leaned against the wall, a strand of pearls strewn across it along with a shimmery scarf and a bottle of âjuiceâ. Oh Kriff just how drunk did you get last night!?!?
âWhatâs that?â
âOh um just some old stuff I pulled out when I was trying stuff on for you..â
He pulled away and you knew you had messed up.
âDin..?â
He approached the bag and knelt down. He picked up the bottle with one hand.
âAnd you just happened to have an alcohol thatâs only produced on this planet in your storage?â His voice had completely shifted from gentle and loving to interrogative typical pre meeting me Mando.
âWellâŚâ
He abruptly stood up with a sigh.
âYou left the shipâ he stated with a huff.
You bite your lip looking away from the intense stare.
ââŚâ
âWhatâs the one thing I told you never to do?â You could tell he was angry but was trying to hold it back.
ââŚgo against your orders..â
âGo against my orders and what did you do?â
âI left the ship⌠Iâm sorry but I was so bored and lonely and I justâŚâ maker could you sound any more pathetic and whiny.
He let out a huff of annoyance, âyou put yourself in danger because you were bored?â
âDin..â
âYou donât know this planet, and I have a million enemies, I donât tell you to stay on the ship for the hell of itâ he bit out getting more frustrated.
âI⌠I know⌠Iâm sorry I wasnât thinking..â
You heard a sigh again and hesitantly looked up. His shoulder relaxed a bit his tone a bit softer but still plenty stern. âI canât go after bounties and worry about you too..â
Well now you felt like absolutely shit
âOh Din Iâm so sorry, of course you canât, shouldnât actually. It was dumb and stupid and reckless and I promise I wonât leave again. No matter how tempting it is..â
He stood for a moment deciding you were sincere in your words, he held out a single arm motioning for you to come closer again,
You do and hug him muttering another apology.
âSo you didnât dress up for me huh..?â
Oh..
You peek up from his chest finding his gaze on yours,
âWell⌠not exactly but my first thought when I looked in the mirror was how I wished you were by my side to see me⌠does that count?â
He lets out a scoff and lowers his hands âNoâ
You pout
âBut I know how you can make it up to meâ.
His hands are back on you stroking your thighs kneeding them softly when all the sudden you yelp.
He pulls away shocked âwhatâs wrong?â
âOh uh nothing just got caught up in the momentâŚâ
His head tilts and boy for someone with a helmet on his expressions were clear as day.
âWanna run that by me again?â
âI had a cramp?â You lamely ask.
Seconds of silence pass before his hands are reaching for the tips of your dress.
âAh wait no!â
You jump back not ready now or ever for him to see your latest mistake.
He freezes, now thatâs something youâd never done before.
âYou hurt yourself didnât you?â He crosses his arms.
âI did not..â
âThen what are you hiding?â
ââŚ.â
He sighs again loudly âyou have three seconds to show me before I do it myself.â
KriffâŚ
You hesitate not knowing what to do.
âOneâ
Ugh what now!?
âTwoâ
Maybe you could lock yourself in the fresherâŚ
âThreeâ
You make a dash for the open door but make it all of two steps before strong arms pull you back.
âReally?â He huffs annoyed.
âDin wait!â
âJust relax whatâs the worst it could be?â
No way you couldnât show him, you catch him off guard by fighting his hold.
âHey stop thatâ
âEnough!â His bark cuts through you like a knife and you freeze.
He spins you around, his hands locked onto your arms.
âDin...â you plead but he wonât budge.
He maneuvers your hands into one of his while his other reaches for your dress. You canât help but try one more time to evade him and use the one move he taught you in self defense,
Of course because heâs who he is all it buys you is three seconds before he has you sprawled over his knees.
How ironic⌠if only he knew how youâd fantasized about this exact position.
âYou really wanna make things hard donât you?â
âDin please you donât understand! Just leave me alone-â and just like that the delicate freshly tattooed skin was exposed to the cool air of the ship and his searing gaze.
Then it was silent..
âI-I didnât mean to I got drunk by accident and then wanted to get you a gift and for some crazy reason I thought a tattoo would be a good idea andâŚandâŚand-â your nervous ramblings continued until you suck in a sharp breath feeling soft fingers caress the area just around the tender area.
âYou did thisâŚfor me?â
âW-well yeahâŚâ
You try to turn your head to see him but itâs impossible in your condition.
He silently caresses the area around it as if heâŚwait no way!?
âDo⌠do you like it?â You asked hesitantly.
He let out a breath.
âCanât say I hate itâŚâ
Oh my maker
âR-really?â You question an eyebrow raised.
âMmâ you flinch a bit feeling his fingers trace over the sore area.
He pulled you up so you were straddling him facing his visor.
âSorry I left the shipâŚâ you say after a few moments of silence.
âSwear you wonât do that again..â
âI promise..â
âAre you angry with me?â
âYesâ he said without hesitation.
âReally? After all the trouble I went through getting you your giftâ you smirk a bit wrapping your arms around his shoulders.
His hands gripped your thighs squeezing softly, âYesâŚâ you smiled knowing by his voice he was all talk. You already had him in the palm of your hand.
âWant me to make it up to you?â You whisper near the side of his helmet.
He makes some sort of hum through the helmet and you take that as a yes, you push him back a bit so the distance between you is closed, your core pressed against him deliciously.
His hands travelled around squeezing and caressing in the ways only he knew how you liked. Youâre about to lift his helmet up so you could finally kiss him when he pauses his movements.
Ugh not again
âWhatâs wrong?â
âYou were drunkâŚ?â
Ah Kriff, why did I have to let that part slip out.
âY-yes but just a bitâŚâ
He looks at you in a no nonsense way,
âOk maybe more than a bit but it really wasnât my fault, I didnât know the drinks had alcohol..â
He sighs
Man if I had a credit for everytime I made this man sighâŚ
âI know I know, it was dumb and reckless and I wonât do it again, can we go back to what we were doing please? Remember the tattoo I got for you?â
I push his helmet towards my thigh.
He lets out a little laugh, âalright alright I get itâ
His thumb strokes it again, âit suits youâ
You let out a laugh, âI think it suits you moreâŚdidnât realize you were that type of guyâŚbut honestly itâs growing on me too, he did a good job didnât he?â You peer down admiring the details. Not realizing Dins fingers had froze.
âHe?â
ââŚ.â
Oh Kriff
