"That.. Doesn't sound reassuring. Is everything good?" The hunter's head tilted to one side curiously.

"Something important, huh? Hmm" Aiden took a slow sip of the offered tea, enjoying the burning sensation in the back of his throat, though careful not to gulp down too much and risk choking.

"Important enough to hypocritically run around without asking for help, after all those lessons you told me of relying on those around me to make things easier to carry? That kind of important?" Another sip was taken, and his shoulders relaxed.

"I guess if you've got some ginger tea.. that would probably help best," until then he was going to simply mope about in agony.

"so you aren't exactly human anymore. you have any idea what i've been through?" nick puffs out his chest, before almost deflating. as much as he wants to get into a dick measuring contest here, he's starting to recognize the complete absurdity of it all.

he's a grown man, arguing with a kid-turned-hunter, over who has had it fucking worse.

"Somehow, having you give in so fast is even less satisfying.." but Aiden was relieved regardless, since his head was already pounding. It was bad enough this guy didn't seem to realize the situation he was in, where Aiden could simply depart should the horde find them..

"Anyway, not that it matters much, but my name is Aiden," red eyes raised to stare at the white-clad man, one brow arched.

"It's nothing too serious, just my infection flaring up.. It happens from time to time," the hunter grumbled, lounging at the kitchen table.

"yeah? well boo-hoo kiddo, we all feel like shit. you don't hear me complaining about it, do you?"

"Try five fucking minutes in my shoes, asshole.. Seriously, are you sure your names not actually Richard? Because you're giving off 'dick' energy.." the hunter grumbled, sitting himself down so his head would stop spinning.
