I think especially for Persephone, who has never ever had to ask anyone if they liked her, this conversation was really embarrassing. Clark would obviously never intentionally hurt someone’s feelings (because he is Clark) but he def had no idea how hard this was for Pers. Even in her interior monologues I wanted to make her language (usually witty and sharp) feel out of whack when she realizes she likes Clark. This kind of confusion is really new to her.  - Colleen
