This turned out so good!!
Made my first mushroom spore prints! Super happy with how this parasol mushroom print came out.
I managed to make 4 prints leaving each one for about 5-7hours. Definitely want to try more with different specimens.

When I look back upon my path, I realize my one consistent motif in my work was my obsession for small things. I feel joy when I discover seemingly insignificant things that may be easily overlooked.

“It may also be that a woman’s creative process is misunderstood or disrespected by those around her. It is up to her to inform them that when she has “that look” in her eyes, it does not mean she is a vacant lot waiting to be filled. It means she is balancing a big cardhouse of ideas on a single fingertip, and she is carefully connecting all the cards using tiny crystalline bones and a little spit, and if she can just get it all to the table without it falling down or flying apart, she can bring an image from the unseen world into being.”
— Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Women Who Run With the Wolves
“So, if you are too tired to speak, sit next to me, because I, too, am fluent in silence.”

“I was — very simply — amazed. At the lack of demarcation between the days. At the fact that I was part of such a life, a life that had swallowed me up so completely. At the fact that my footprints were being blown away before I even had a chance to turn and look at them.”
— Haruki Murakami, “Sleep” in The Elephant Vanishes (via commonplace-nook)
