REUSABLE Menstrual pads; are cloth pads worn in the underwear to prevent menstrual fluid (blood from uterine lining) from leaking onto clothes. They are a type of reusable menstrual hygiene product, and are an alternative to disposable sanitary napkins or to menstrual cups. They are less expensive than disposable pads and reduce the amount of waste produced.
Q: Where can I get mine?

Neat
Well now that’s interesting. 🤔👍
I got some of these recently and they’re AWESOME. I am still recovering from a harrowing experience with an IUD my body didn’t like, so I bleed pretty much constantly, with 3-5 day reprieves. So having the cloth pantiliner or pad instead of commercial disposable ones, is fucking awesome. No leaking, less dry skin, no wet feeling, more comfortable, less waste - I can’t find a downside. I just rinse them out and let them dry, and then put them in the washer and dryer with the rest of my laundry. Fantastic.
Bought a few and the discount code worked :) looking forward to trying these!
I am super into trying this product. Yay!
I’ve been using a cup and period panties for a while now.
Green options are amazing 😉
I have re-usable cloth pads (not from this brand but still), and as a trans-masc I have to say it’s a great option for vagina-owners of all genders! If you’ve ever changed a pad in the men’s bathroom, you will be familiar with the panic of having nowhere to dispose of the used pad, and perhaps had to hide the crinkle of the packet. With these, there is no need for a bin (just put the used pads in the little pouch provided), and the sound of a popper unclipping is not at all out of place!
How would the process of going about cleansing them be like? And how do I know they won’t retain some of the blood within? I just don’t think it’s something that will be 100 clean after it’s first use.
@whyarceuswhy Just rinse until the water you ring out is clear, similar to dying hair. And then afterwards you toss it into the washing machine with you know other clothes and things.
A stain is not the same thing as particulate matter. You will likely see some staining. But that doesn’t mean it’s not clean. Like are you okay with sleeping on your sheets after a week? They’ll literally be dirtier than this pad.
I use pads like this (from a different company) and I absolutely LOVE them. I’m prone to getting bacterial vaginitis after my periods (caused by a pH imbalance) but I find it happens way less often now that I’m using these. They’re so comfortable that I can wear them for much longer without that diaper rash feeling you get from disposable pads. I truly recommend them.
For washing, however, I rinse them in the sink until the water runs clear, then wash in the washing machine on the heavy duty cycle to make sure they’re extra clean, but I do NOT put them in the dryer. I found that the dryer made them smell a bit strange (it’s possible the ones I have are made of a different material, but still). And so I simply use laundry clips to hang them up and let them air dry and they’re good as new.
I literally toss them in the bottom of my shower. Take a shower as normal, let them kinda soak down there at the drain. When I’m ready to get out, I wring them out (and rinse more if necessary) and then hang them on the shower curtain rod to dry. Then they go right in the washer and dryer with the rest of my laundry! I thought I might find them gross or something, but truly it’s not. My body thanks me.
Boost, for my period-having friends
After my bottom surgery I had to use pads every day because of blood loss/having to reajust to my capacity to hold my bladder so i got intense rashes and these changed my life when i randomly found some at my pharmacy
YAAASSS!!!! Sometimes it starts as just staring…. but then you get the creeps who will follow you. Be aware of your surroundings and if you see something happening/happen, don’t be afraid to “get in the line of sight” or saying something!
even if you’re “not all men,” if you’re in a position to do or say something when you see this type of aggression and don’t, you’re complicit and still part of the problem
stop whining and learn
Yes, this! Especially when you KNOW the person. I’ve been in so many situations where some guy (often a coworker) decided to get his creeper on, and all I ever wanted was for someone else to call him out instead of pretending to not notice what was going on. It’s exhausting having to be the one to say “stop” every time. It’s exhausting having to deal with some arsehole’s “i just meant it as a bit of friendly teasing” over and over again.
Please take action when you see this kind of stuff happening. Doesn’t matter if it’s creepy staring or physical advances - DO something so we’re not left to feel alone and even more traumatised.

there comes a time when you’ll have to stop basing your morals on the laws of society because not all of these laws are meant to protect the vulnerable people but to exploit
The bastard himself
