Debonair is this spindley lass

Flitting and floating for years on end

This Charleston sweetheart

A watchful picket spook

She hash slings Schrangle's catch of the day

Pickled insas

Smoked secties

Brewed flybis

The hungering rumble echos this Brickadda until

Each Vignette has had their fill

Meet Florence

An elderly chap

A professor of sorts

A kilted magpie man

Who had refused to wear shorts

Partial to the comfort of a goose downie bed

To lay down the weight of his weary little head

So when the lights go out and Beastie falls silent

Deep steady breathing and snoring so violent

Those creaks in the night you thought were the house

That knocking you'd pondered a wee doormouse

Just Raschen and has walking stick

Closer and closer, this is no trick

Until you find him curled up on your bed

Wee man asleep under the bedspread

Now the first light breaks

Little Raschen awakes

And scamper he will

to his own chenille

I hid in the trees and amongst the tall grass. Through the lens of my camera I noticed a young lass. Spideral limgs and spindley fingers - right to the tip. She danced through the garden sprightly with a skip. Debonair, she called out. Florence, he sang out. Together they moved. And to me they proved. Eternally beautiful. It was from this day on. Curiosity ignited and shone. I vowed there and then that this would not be the last. The one and only time I would see this image cast. Inside this book one will discover. My findings of this secret other. Worldly species that must remain hidden. A betrayal of their trust surely forbidden. And so I ask of you now. To promise me your most solemn vow. That this enigmatic world laid here before you. Must remain this way a hushed tale true
